Young Calorie Counters Why do you Want to be Skinny? Nov 04 2008

Confidence. Being a nature-freak who wants to be healthy. It's easier to cleanse your Chakras (not like Naruto chakras Dx) when you're healthy. I'm sick of being the biggest girl in class.

Feeling like who I am on the inside as on the outside.

Getting over my depression.

Having enough confidence to make and keep friends.

To maybe have enough confidence to get a boyfriend.

I have tons of reasons, as you can see.

Young Calorie Counters People 5'4"-5'6" what size are you? Nov 04 2008

I'm currently at 186 (Twenty pounds down! WHOO! ^_^) And I'm a size 16 (American size, by the way) right now.

I used to be between a 17-19, so this is great. All my jeans are too big now, and I get to wear really cute belts. x)

I'm thinking of buying a pair of jeans from Pac Sun (they only go up to 13), as a goal of sorts, though my final goal is a size 10. I might go lower if I see the need. I'll never be a size zero, or even a five. I just don't have the body type for it.

Edit (added a sentence): Everyone else who posted is so thin... x_x

Young Calorie Counters Do your parents know anything about nutrition? Nov 04 2008
01:32 (UTC)

My mom knows a little bit. She tends to leave my food decisions alone, but she does help me figure out calories sometimes.

My whole family is overweight, so none them really know much.

My dad's situation is very ironic, because he's a doctor. o_o; He should know better... Dx

Weight Loss What to do when you are sick? Nov 04 2008
01:29 (UTC)

I was recently sick with an ear infection, and since there were lymph nodes in my neck that were swollen, I couldn't chew at all.

I stuck to soup. I ate a lot of Campbell's low sodium condensed. It's warm and delicious. x] Campbell's is a definite comfort food for me.

There's also tea, as yaaqut mentioned before. Don't forget orange juice! It's full of vitamin C. :)

Just like with my Wiccan faith, I will answer if someone asks. But I never take the fact that I'm vegan to try and "convert" people.

It amuses me. But I think it's dumb. They're trying to reach out to the "normal" people, the ones who think all vegans are scrawny, thin, and are hippies. :/

Lettuce doesn't scream when you kill it, or take its seeds away from it, or break its leaves from being over crowded.

Lettuce doesn't clog up arteries with saturated fat, it's not loaded with dangerous antibiotics and hormones.

The Amazon isn't cut down so people can grow lettuce. :|

I'm doing it for my health, for animals, and most of all, for this messed up blue-green ball called earth.

And a paty to celebrate the release of the Ouran High School Host Club party... haha. I'm such a dork. xDD

My mom and I get a semi-healthy entree to share. :) That way we both get to indulge a bit and still not eat too badly.

Also, you can ask for stuff without bacon, mayo, or whatever makes the thing full of calories.

Also, you can always ask the waiter to not give you breadsticks. I'm sure they'd be happy to comply. :)

I totally agree!

I wish I was old enough to vote, because I know more than about half the Americans than can vote (lucky suckers...). Why must people not care about who governs an entire country? Why must people not care about the real issues like global warming, the war in Iraq, and the energy crisis, instead of skin color?

Oh, how I loathe the world...

UGH!!! I loathe Sarah Palin!!

I wish I could vote, because I know more than half of the Americans that CAN vote! She's an awful, awful candidate.

I already went on a rant about this, but, it angers me how little she cares about the planet. She's in idiot, end of story.

Young Calorie Counters "guys dig curves" garbage Sep 12 2008

It's because most high school guys only have one brain, and it's in their pants.

Well, seriously though, for most guys it's a matter of preferance. Like, it's really hypocritical, but I wouldn't want to date a fat guy. I prefer skinny, tall guys.

I'd buy some saltless nuts. They're quick protein. :) I also get these things called Steamfresh; they're frozen veggies that only have water in them, so they're healthy. You just stick 'em in the microwave. :)

Whole wheat bagels, low fat cream cheese, cheese sticks, blueberry yoghurt, life cereal, special K chocolaty delight (SO GOOD!), and canned tuna... all good. :)

Also, remember, don't go shopping when you're hungry, or else you'll end up buying more, and buying worse food!

Hey, I'm in! That's my goal, anyway! ^_^

Ah, so, since it's Friday; I weighed myself and I'm at 192.8, which I believe is down one and a half pounds from last week!! =D

I'm so proud of myself!!

But dangit, I'm so sick of eating salad for lunch every freakin' day! Dx

@popgirl: It's normal for your weight to fluctuate by the day. :) Also, you tend to weigh less in the morning than you do at night. :)
