I did drift away but I am here. Do any of you use the journal feature? I am much better about keeping track of those! |

I am down for a Friday weigh-in. That's the day I count as my 'offical' weight anyway.
I've also stayed within my calorie range so far (minus Saturday, which is my splurge day) and I've gotten 174 minutes of exercise so far. I am traking a break from exercising tonight though I may get some stretching in while wathcing TV. |

We were lucky. We found a used treadmill on craigslist.com and bought it for much cheaper than we could have gotten a new one. The really great thing about it is that it looks brand new! I'm not a very good runner yet but between walking and running, I can burn a lot of calories on there. We're thinking about getting Wii Fit too. |

I have that book and did read most of it but I'll admit that I didn't finish it. There are actually a lot of good ideas in the book. Most seem like common sense but the book makes you actually think about and apply them. |

Yeah.... I have been meaning to take action for a while now. Didn't seem to get around to it until just recently though. But now I am ALL over it! The hubby and I just bought a used treamill and I have been using the heck out of that thing. |

You girls sound a lot like me. I was pretty big into eating healthy and exercising for almost a year and got down to 136. The we moved last summer and everything went to crap. Haha. I started back on CC a couple of weeks ago at 151.8. I am down to 148.4 now. My short term goal is 140 and my long term goal is 130. I do pretty well staying in calorie during the week but I am pretty lax on the weekends, particularly Saturday, which is my splurge day. Anyway, I just wanted to say hi since it sounds like we have a lot in common. |

| Weight Loss | What's your idea of a "cheat day?" | Feb 01 2009 01:17 (UTC) |

I use Saturdays as my splurge days. I don't call them my cheat days because I don't think of it as cheating. Cheating means I am doing something wrong or bad and could induce guilty feelings or something. I hadn't been even counting calories on Saturdays but I have started because I want to keep track of my calorie deficit. So bascially on Saturdays I let myself eat whatever I want (though I do try to be mindful, watch my portions and not eat to bursting) and then log it afterwards so that I can keep track of my deficit. If I didn't have a splurge day it would be hard for me to stay on track. |
