My Monday morming "weigh-in drum roll" was cut short by a lost of only .5 pounds!!!!!! I know, I know it's better than gaining, but I'm sayin' at this rate I won't lose 5 pounds by xmas forget about 15. Yes, I work out like Richard Simmons doing aerobics for crack and am intaking 1600- 1800 calories ( cc suggest I intake 1850 ) but this weight refuses to move. Anywho, I hope others have more satisfying results than I, and remember no gain is better than gaining!!!!!! I weigh in on Mondays and Friday-- what days will we weigh in as a group, Candi.

You absolutely can't close this group until you count me in Laughing, please.  I desperately need to lose 15 lbs by Xmas. I'm going on a cruise in January and I don't want to be charged extra for boarding with this extra baggage around my waist.

Sharpdust-wat a name. Welcome. My game plane is to lose about 15 by the first week of January.

Sasquatch-That's funny. I thought I was the only one who did that. I am a solid 14 and squeeze into a stretch 12. Lycra is my frined. i am 5'9 and 198 lbs. I started out at 205 pounds in September. This weight is coming off slowly!!! Boobs are getting smaller? How would he like if someone said that about his peepy deepy. I can't stand that though. My breasts get smaller everytime I lose weight. i e neverr had to lose more than 20 pounds in my life (except after child birth) this 40 pounds is going to be a tough job, but I am going to do it.

I just checked out of going4goal, it's under motivational. that site was to crowded for me. Posting there became a task. I have a two more sites that i barely post on.

BOCA BURGERS!!!!!! I have forgotten all about them. they are rather tasty, nothing lke the real thing indeed. I worked out wiith a trainer on Tuesday. My thighs and arms still hurt. He showed me some excersices and insisted that I use more strength training. That would work out the best for me.

I will go back on my posts as well.

Hey Ofeila:

I don't drink soda at all. My grandmother never let me drink it growing up so I never acquired a taste for it at all. I drink mostly water. About 90% of my weekly liquid intake is water. I might slide in a cup of decafinated tea or treat myself to a half bottle of iced tea- or my smoothies which I drink about 3 times a week have skim milk or 80 calories of OJ. Wine and a couple of drinks on the weekend-- the day I weigh in ofcource.

You will be in a 12 before you know it. You are doing well with your weight loss. I think I might be losing inches.  Next month I'm going to try to slide into my skin tight no stretch size twelve jeans that couldn't close around my stomach at all last month, not even laying down or if I rubbed my self down with vasline or cocoa butter and tried to slither my way into them. Remember I am only a 12 if there is plent of lycra in the pants!!!!!

Well ladies:

Unfortunately, I am saying fair well to the lovely ladies of G4G. Posting on my favorite thread has become some what of a task. To hard to find replies and my initial sense of camaraderie has been lost in the pages of looooooong replies. I will continue to log in my calories and workouts daily. I will pop in from time to time to share my crazy experiences, see where in the world VP ends up, how Bootsand her job goes and to make sure she doesn't elliptical and juice her self to death LOL, if Mask ever gets back on track, to check if Safina is going to the gym, to check on KK's health status and to give waves to 2bb, green and the rest of the crew. VP-give my regards to forks!!!!

BTW-- Masks, good going on your exercise and calorie intake. You should be dropping pounds in a minute.

Health:

A woman of my own heart-- I love burgers!!! Kudos for not hitting the grill and sticking to the pop corn. YOu deserve to eat a lot-- heck its the 19th aniversary of your 25th birthday and you look great. Hope you were back on track. I did the gym this evening one high impact, some strength training and a little extra cardio.

We must talk menus soon. I am dying to switch mine up. I will post mine for tomorrow if you post yours.

I know, puking wasn't the best thing however, I 'm glad it happened. I know, I'm nutz. Health, where else do you post. You should check out going for the goal. I'm about to hold a funeral service for this thread Cry

Hey guys, came in from the gym about an hour ago. I took it easy I did one HIgh impact aerobics class, some strength training, and some extra cardio. I also upped my calories today since I did work out. I burned around 800 calories or so.

I'm super tired, going to sleep.

Hey Green, how's your foot? How is your mom?

VSP- I'm glad you aren't cutting all of your fun out. I've got my fingers crossed on that promotion for you. Would you be coming back into the US or will you still be over seas? As for you feet, be careful- Once you get feet problems, it's hard to get rid of them!!!

Masks-I'm glad your back on task. No drive bys through Godiva. I've calmed down with the twizzler intake, thank goodness.

Going to catch some zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz  my daughter is going camping Wednesday so I will have a lot of late night packing to do tomorrow.

Masks- I think you know me a little too well. I work out 4 to five times a week, extra hard. I take in 1600 calories a day, however Ive decided to up that because cc suggests 1850 for my weight.  So on work out days 1850 (or what ever it takes to make that 1000 calorie deficit) and non work out days 1650.

As for the spirits-- I love a little taste every now and then. I count them as well. I try to stick to Gin and tonic, which is 150 calories. Now saturday I was drinking a Hawaiian punch- southern comfort, Hennesy, Ameretto and a splash of grenadine. I had three on a very empty stomach. Those drinks were probably 300 calories a piece, so It's a good thing it ran out of me.

2bb-yes, it will stay off. No, I don't go around purging my food often, but I have taken laxatives towards the end of my weight loss week and loss around the same amount of weight.

Guess what. Got on the scale this morining and I am down 2.2 lbs plus my 1.5 from the friday. So now I'm finally under the 200 mark. 198 lbs.

I'm not going to tell you how I lost those two pounds. Let's just say I drank on an empty stomache which in turn has lead me to have an even emptier stomache. Can you say hurl a whirl. I know what you are thinking, but hey let me get some kind of satifaction from being sick!!!! Oh yeah, and I went to the moives twice this weekend. . . . . drum roll please. . . .  my love a fair with the my ex red boned long lanky slim thing is diminishing. Only touched my lips for five times. That's right, I only ate 5 twizzlers this weekend in two movie sittings. I am so proud of myself. Now if I can just step away from the freshly baked cookie isle during my bi weekly visits to whole foods. I'd be good.

Ofeila-That's great!!!!! 20 pounds. How do I find the gallery to see you phots. I'm a 14 and I can squeeze into a 12 if it's stretch. I just want to be able to fit into any 12 and squeeze into a ten stretch. LOL. I've been at a  14 when I was 20 pouunds lighter and 20 pounds heavier, however 20 pounds lighter my 14 pants fit loose and my 12 fit a lot like my 14's now. My gap jeans are a 12 I haven't been 160 since right after I had my daughter almost 11 years ago. I usually stay between 185 and 190, I don't look it though. I guess it's my shape build and hieght.

Well I am happy to report that this morning I was down 2.2 and when I weighed on Friday I was down 1.5 so at 3.7  I am finally under 200. I am down to 198. Looking at your 144 pounds and 138 pounds I feel like freakin' Shrek!!!

VP I've noticed that when I am on the elliptical and I wear one make of New Balance sneakers  my feet feel like heaven when I get off. However, I have another pair of New Balance, which is a different model my feet feel lke I've been walking on hot coals. So perhaps its the style of sneaker you work out in. As for the heart rate on those machines. As for taking off that last bit of weight, VP I wouldn't cut out my 100 calorie pudding. You have to have some fun in life, you can't live soley on berries and branches in GUAM!!! That would be ultra depressing. You have to reward yourself.

 

MM- Did you say cake? I'm not much of a cake eater, but I do loooove plain pound cake. UHHH, to die for. I did have cookies from whole foods twice this week. I can't help my self two chocolate chips at about 80 calories a piece. It was worth every decadent bite.

Good Mornin' GG  On my way to the gym Ladies.

Boots 75 minutes, that's insane. Keep it up thought. You know my motto go hard or go home!!!!! I'm glad you got it. It will probably be hard for you to get the amount of swimming in you usually do when you start working.

Mask- You have a new mask already? Reminds me of a Vegas Dancer.

VP- you and boots will be burning it up on the elliptical together. I'm on my way to the gym and will put in a half hour on the elliptical. Do you have an ipod, that's another way you can toon out the clanks coming from your elliptical

2bb- New orleans is one of my favorite places. I visit there every year for the 4th of July. I can attribute 7 of this freshsly gained 15 pounds to my trip to NO this July. I fasted before I went and lost 10 then gained 7 while I was out there but it was well worth it. I chowed down at Emrils, court of two sisters, Mother's, commanders palace and a bunch of other rich fatty food places. It was heaven.

Safina- Did you go to the gym? I hope you only ate one pumpkin truffle and nothing else.

ConfessionAlthough I did eat two freshly baked cookies from whole foods the day before I weighed in. I couldn't help it. I had to walk by the cookies to get to the register and they called me. I couldn't be rude so I walked over and introduced Mr. C. Chip and Mrs. Oat Meal to my lips. 160 calories and I'm not mad or guilty.

Masks, my pirate name is Lotta Booty. I named myself that on pirate day last month. I cant see the link until I get home. The "man" or the "establishment" if you will montiors my internet usage at work and blocks certain sites. Once you get focused that 4 pounds will be in the negative.  

Boots- thanks but you know I was looking to lose at least 2. I guess I'm a Rolling Stone cause "I cant get no    sat is fac tion.  EVERYBODY SING!!  enjoy your vacay, and don't wear yourself out on that elliptical.

2bb- you definetly have a point.  4 is better than 40!!!!

Safina- one  pumpkin truffle and quickly back out of the Godiva chocolate store!!!!

Okay guys-- I'm down 1.5 pounds. It's weight loss so I guess I should be happy but I'm not. I work to hard for these measley results.

Laura- good for you girl. 4 pounds, that's marvelous. Keep up the good work. I haven't been able to lose 4 pounds in a darn month and I work extra hard, but hopefully, things will change soon. Happy Birthday, and congrats for being so close to 100 pounds lost.

Ofeilia- I welcome your advice. I am going to up my calories to 1850 this week on my off days from the like the website suggests. I don't trust it though. I swear I don't.  I am definetly back at the gym again, and back with my stellar eating habbits.

OKAY LADIES of GG, SO HERE IT IS: I'm down 1. 5 pounds down.

VP-I guess you don't have to make that international call to the paramedics, because I did lose something. But that takes me right back to the 201 pounds I was at when I lost control from gaining the 1.1 on my period. Anywho, what can you do. The gym last night, you would have cried tears of joy, I did one MODERATE impact aerobics class, Abs and weights. I'm definitely routing for your husbands promotion. Your spirit can't be glumy in Guamy.

Boots-no more late nights!!!! you have a new job to look forward to. Congrats!!!! That elliptical will definitely get those pounds down, girl

SAFINA- ITS FRIDAY YOU ARE SCHEDULED TO GO TO THE GYM. NO IFS ANDS OR BUTS. DON'T MAKE ME COME OVER THERE.

MM- you never told a lie about this weight loss thing being a life long battle. Why did I think I was fat at 150 20 years ago because I'm hippy. Now at 201, and even more hips and a ba donk a donk butt, I wish I was the kind of fat I thought I was at 26 years old.

Health

Trim myself, don't be a substitute teacher, do stand up why don't ya LOL.

I use vanilla whey, they have chocolate and strawberry. It tastes okay under the fruit and milk that I blend it with. The carton suggests you take it with juice, skim milk or a smoothie. It doesn't taste bad at all.

Yesterday I took in 1500 calories. My whey shake and some cookies that I smuggled in put me all the way up to a whopping 2000. I burned 800 calories yesterday and 550 today. I did strength training and an aerobic class that wasn't high impact. I couldn't help myself I was in whole foods and those freshly baked cookies looked oh so good. On average I take in 1600 to 1700 a day.

I'm weighing in tomorrow morning. I really don't know what to expect, weight or weight loss. I started off the week rocky and did not put in as much exercise as usual. But this is part of my master plan to see if I should cut back some. Check in on me tomorrow. If I don't log in call the paramedics. If I gain weight I will be in a straight jacket on the elliptical machine, because I will go straight nutz!!!!!

by the way what other threads do you post on? Check out go for the goal in motivational. I post on there every day.

Well I'm feeling pretty good this morning. The "man" or the "establishment" is monitoring my Internet usage so that's another reason why my posts have been scarce. it's not like I'm watching "Nailin' Palin" a new triple x movie comin your way soon. I swear, the things people get paid for and think of.  After playing hookey from work yesterday and fogging up the windows at Saks Fifth Avenue window shopping, work is borrr- iiiing. Hands up to boots, 2bb my workout buddy safina and KK- hang in there, girl. You are in my prayers 

VP- at least the thing is still running, I've grown fond of the elliptical at the gym, it's been about two weeks since I've made the switch from treadmil to elliptical. Guam, huh. You are too lively for that gloomy place, V. However, like you said it is what it is and hopefully you will be back in the good ole U S of A soon enough. 

MM- I'm eating an apple and a 2% cheddar cheese stick as a snack right now. Make sure you have yours today. You know what they say an apple a day keeps the cottage cheese on my thighs at bay.  Oh Joy-- I rather be eating other things but I have to keep thinking life style change life style change life style change.

I had to step away from the entire weight loss thing for a minute. The fact that I have been working extra hard and nothing has been coming off is killing me. It was either that or just fu%$ the entire new lifestyle change all together. Most people plateau after they have loss a good number of pounds. Me on the other hand started out plateauing and that's really messing with my head. I will take the kick, but I purposely stepped away because I cound't take the lack of results anymore.

Shizz- half of a candy bar isn't bad at all. You can add that into your counting for the day.

Hey All:

I am back and better!!!! One high impact aerobics class, 30 minutes on the elliptical and 10 minutes of abs. I did manage to eat under my calories, which sucks!!! I only at 1550 calories today-- I played hookie from work so I didn't have my snacks with me today.

Safina- took my daughter pumpkin picking on Monday. We carved three pumpkins and I tossed all of the pumpkin in the garbage. i would have given it to you.

Boots- I have been out of the loop, did you get a job sweety? I was just wondering what was going on with ya.

VP- Darling, how is guam? Did you get the elliptical fixed?

MM- an apple a day sounds great. I eat an apple, banana, and or a fruit smoothie every day! The apples come in handy when you are inbetween meals.

Heatlh- I do smoothies for breakfast or sometimes before I go to the gym. I generally have smoothies three to four times a week. When i drink them before I go to the gym I put Whey powder in them. This is a protein that's supposed to build muscle. and we all know muscle burns fat.  Sooo, I went to the gym today and did one class high impact aerobic and 30 minutes on the elliptical and 10 minutes of abs. I wore one of those things that you velcro around your waist for sweat. I asked Kizzi if she was into kid robot, it's japanese pop culture. They have a store in Soho and I was there last week, a lot of cartoony stuff, expensive clothing and sneakers, toys that sort of thing.

unfortunately I was under my calories today. I have done everything, stuffed peanut butter and ritz down my throat, had a weight watchers ice cream bar, and I just can't catch up. I would have had a couple of glasses of wine :) but one of my neighbors came over and polished off my last glass of sutter home.

Ladies-- I know you have all missed me tremendoulsy and have wondered where I have been!!!! Hands in the air to VP- Boots- Safina- Green- 2bb- KK and anyone else I might have missed. Welcome to M!!!!

Well in the days I've been gone I havent counted one calorie and relaxed in the gym a bit-- just a bit. I still display my fancy foot work to all the slim silicone injected youngins at the gym, but I've been doing one class. I have been drinking quite a bit over this long weeked -- I'm such a social butterfly-- so I'm sure I went over my daily intake Friday Saturday and Sunday, but I didn't eat a side a beef or inhale any twizzlers so I sitll maintained healthy eating. I've also stepped away from the scale. I think I've come up with a medium between working out and calorie intake. So I will step back on the scale again Friday to see if this balance is working out in terms of weight loss. It will be two weeks Friday since I stepped on the scale. This Friday I will-- so  note to Safina Boots and VP if I don't log back on after Friday, send in the paramedics, I will be on the elliptical with a straight jacket-- because I will go straight crazy. I hope everyone is enjoying there day.

Yes Laura Ive been hiding under the freakin pound i gained almost two weeks ago that has sent me bonkers. Ever since I gained I haven't been the same. I'm just getting back into the swing of things. Let me know how the fruit thing works out.

Shizz- Once beer aint nothing!!!!  I've been drinking all weekend and haven't counted one calories. I'm back to my extra shots in my fruity drinks instead of sticking to my Gin and Tonics. I fell off but have climbed right back on. I'm going to start weighing again Friday.

Health, I'm back!!! Congrats!!!! 1.5 pounds is awesome. Keep up the good work. I had to step away from everything and regroup. I just read the article. I'm not quite sure how I fit into that profile but I an see where I might fit into that profile. I haven't counted calories since Thursday. Got tired of everything at once, but refuse to give up. I must say I haven't been on the scale in nearly two weeks. I am going to weigh again this Friday. We will see. I've been eating poorly and not working out.

 Raz- I gave my body a rest and now I'm coming back. I will take it down a notch and try to balance my work outs and eating. I will post progress.

My crazy as$ dam* neared passed otu at the gym this morning during a cardio sculpt class. I decided that my usual 6 inch step wasn't enough fo me so I wanted to go to 10 but switched to a 12 inch and felt like I ws inhaling three cigarettes with no filter on them. This comes from a woman who doesn't smoke. Well knowing me for the past month do you think I stopped health? As Whitney Houston would say hell to the nah Bobby. I freakin kept my crack head chasin a vial speed up so I could out do the two bobbing blondes next to me with the flat abs that always admire my fancy foot work and who have at least fifteen more years of youth than I. I felt like I was about to cough up a dam* lung!!!

I have a problem. I'm typig this message to you form the elliptical this minute. This non weight loss thing is killing. Did I mention I'm light headed. Sent via BLACKBERRY from T-Mobile

OKAY ON LOOKERS OF HIS SIGHT THIS IS funny right here. Just another indication that I have a problem. I actually sent this message to Healthmd while I was on the elliptical machine. I forwarded it from my blackberry. I tried to post it from my elliptical but it didn't post here it goes:

So as expeccted it finally happened:

My crazy as$ dam* neared passed otu at the gym this morning during a cardio sculpt class. I decided that my usual 6 inch step wasn't enough fo me so I wanted to go to 10 but switched to a 12 inch and felt like I ws inhaling three cigarettes with no filter on them. This comes from a woman who doesn't smoke. Well knowing me for the past month do you think I stopped health? As Whitney Houston would say hell to the nah Bobby.
