Weight Loss Uncommon Reasons to Lose Weight Apr 14 2009

Hmm..I don't know if these are uncommon, but they are definitley ones I keep to myself most of the time..

With my son I had a C-section which has left the inevidable sag of a gut, and I want to at least raise it up to where my stomach should be, and DAMN, he's going to be 3 already.. I'm pretty sure it's time to get rid of my sag bag.

I feel bigger than my already larger husband, and am embarrassed to..do...certain things..with him..

I'd like my ankles not to feel like they are going to bust out of my skin when I walk to and from class because my bones wanna snap.

That's exactly what I was doing, expressing my opinion (double standard?).  and I was pretty relaxed at the time I wrote it.

Here's a "fully expressed" opinion for you. The moderators are making sure the guidelines for the site are enforced, if they weren't, then it would be one big clusterf*ck, wouldn't it?  If something is seen as pro-ana, then it will be deleted.  Obviously being only 98 lbs and cheering on other girls for being too thin is PRO-ana.  I don't know what you don't understand about that..

You can eat as much as you want and preach how 98 lbs is healthy for you, sure.  While you do that I'm going to tell you how healthy my junk food eating, veggie hating, processed shoveling, thin brother in law is. *rolls eyes*

What it comes down to is is that you may complain and b*tch how it's unfair and blah blah blah, but the mods have the last say.  Since this obviously isn't the site for you, I'd look into something else.

my concern is that i have been reading a lot of posts on this website that 1000 calories is really un-healthy and is actually starving my body. i just want to know is this really true? i mean... i have no problem with eating a little bit more every day but i feel like i will gain weight if i do. is it really important that i start eating more? how do i know if my body is starving itself?

Yes, it is really unhealthy, yes, it is starving your little body, and if you do in case have an underlying ED, talk to a professional.

WOOOW, this is like an completely eating disordered thread. Why do we need to compare our height/weight/clothing size? If there's a logical reason, I'd love to hear it. Otherwise, this thread can be very triggering to people and to the OP, it sounds like you're trying to justify some insecurity about yourself by comparing yourself to internet strangers. I'd suggest talking with a trusted adult regarding your body worries, but by posting something like this, you're just perpetuation a self-conciousness issue. I wish you the best of luck, and by no means am I trying to be mean- just honest.

 This was said wonderfully.

I knew that fruits and veggies contained some sort of fat, but I always refer to it as "good fat".

Honestly, if I am eating plain ol' raw veggies, I don't even add them to my calorie count, I just don't see the point.  (might be bad of me, but that's my story and I'm stickin' to it.)

eddie, the test is in 1-2 weeks.  this isn't about "training" - it's about getting a good grade on a report card :/

I don't even think it is that, when I had to run the mile for my gym class back in I think...7th grade, as long as you finished the run you passed.

Hmm..I've noticed a lot of the posts on this thread from girls/women complaining about being fat have nice bodies.  Just noticing is all.

I want to lose weight because...

1.)I want to be able to keep up with my babies

2.)I want to help my husband lose weight so we can be healthy together

3.)I want to eat better, to feel better

That was the most disgusting, funniest chit I have seen in awhile.  My hubby and I got a kick looking at all of it and reading the discriptions.

(Although I must admit, the Snickers pie and a few of the other things didn't look awful, just unhealthy.)

Peanut Butter.

I hate Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwhiches.  It's not that they don't taste OK, it's just having to eat them so much as a child I can't stand them anymore.

I would have asked her what her excuse was for her flabby thighs and stretch marks. lmao..I'm so mean.

I remember taking my friend to her church while I was pregnant with my daughter...after it was finished the main man (preacher I guess?) came out, shook my hand after my friend introduced me, put his hand on my belly and started to speak in tongues.

I freaked outtttttt.

That's a big no-no, even for someone with the lowest activity level possible.  Your body will not be recieving the nutrition and substanance it needs, so what I am guessing is that it will go into starvation mode, and I believe it eats the muscle you have before the fat.

I always make sure my eyebrows are either tweezed/waxed, they are what frame your face!  I also give my hair a hot oil treatment, take some olive oil, massage it into your hair, put on a shower cap and go to bed.  In the morning rinse it out and shampoo as normal.

I also found out that if you take hot showers, take a few minutes before you get out to have a cold one.  It wakes you up and keeps your hair not-so-frizzy.

Also, I don't know if you have skin probs, but I love Aveeno Cleansing Bar.  I'm in a constant battle with my face.

Mascara, lipgloss, and liquid eyeliner are usually all I wear on my face anymore as far as makeup goes.

all the tips above are great, took the words out of my mouth.
