just a quick update...i had a maintenance day on sunday and must admit was dreading the scales this week but lost 3 pound!! so now no it done me good and plan to include it more often,so thanks everyone x

thanks thermal and jane for yor input,ive been healthy eating since july last year,and had a few times where i havent lost or just lost a few ounces,but stuck with it,my gym prog is changed every 3 weeks so i no its not that,

but must admit food has got into a bit of a rut,i thought perhaps i wasnt eating enough as the last few weeks ive actually felt hungry quite a bit,which normally i dont now,

it varies so much jane some weeks i loose 1 pound others 2 or even just half but very rarely more,thats another frustration why cant i regulary loose 2 pound grrr lol

i must admit im very hard on myself both with diet and exercise,id like to do a maintenance day but i no ill feel so guilty after,i find it hard getting my head round that now im exercising so much more i can eat quite a bit when ive spent so long trying NOT to eat so much!

hi im 5ft 2 and weigh 180 pounds,i  run 5k at least 3 times a week ,

oh yes some people find it funny to see a fat person run,but i just think to myself id like to see them do it,on the other hand ive also had people beep and give me the thumbs up which makes me feel wonderful,

dont let them the small minority put you off if anything make yourself more determined to get out there and do it good luck x

right with you,thats prob why ive been stuck at 203 for the last 3 weeks then i thought i needed to up my exercise to get past it,which ive done ,when i saw there was still no results on the scale i just thought perhaps i wasnt burning as much as i thought,sorry gem for hi jacking your post!!

i goto my account then update photo,click on browse select the photo that ive had on here before,tick default profile picture,then click on the big orange bit that says edit photo,it takes about 2 mins then i get the error message

hi christy,i have about 70 pounds to go ive already lost 48 since july,but i agree with the others walk,walk,walk,! i started doing this now ive discovered the gym and running and i love it!! this is from someone who hadnt done no reg exercise for over 20yrs!!go for it girl if i can do it so can you best of luck x

haha pgeorgian, last time i weighed 133 pounds was when i kicked out my 1st hubby,mind you that was about 15yrs ago now.

try and get organized especially if your just starting,it makes a lot of diffrence,lots of people plan there menus a week in advance so they no what there eating and what to shop for etc,i tend to do mine a few days in advance as it suits me better,try and make a lunch to take with you even if you do it the night before and keep it in the fridge,at least then your no whats in it(no hidden extras) and your no your calorie count,ive always got a little pot of almonds and a few raisens,and 2 bits of fruit in my bag,

even if i go to my daughters for the day i always take my own lunch,Smile

i personally would rather have food, then a slimfast drink ,if you choose wisely you can have quite a bit for the same cals as in slimfast shake,

to answer your question my friend tried slimfast and as was really hungry so she was having the shake and then bingeing by the end of the day,so was consuming more in the end then what she normally did,

im 44 and for yrs ive tried every fad going anything for quick weight loss,only to put it back on many times over and more,honestly jackie the only way to do it is a healthy eating plan and exercise,even a brisk 30 min walk can make a diffrence,i dont deprive myself either its all in moderation,ive lost 39 pounds since july 1st,so dont waste your money on the shakes Smile

ive been on seroquel for a bout 5yrs now,when im on low dose im fine,but this jan i had problems and they put the dose up to 300mg and i gained 60 pound in 4 months!!,when they put on vld of 50 mg i lost 42 pounds very easy,but saying that when i do have problems i do eat more and spend lots a time asleep no exercise so that contributed to gain as well,but i have lost 38 of the 60 i put on,but im the same as freshbakedpi id rather live with it,it keeps me on a even keel.

we dont have a mcdonalds in my town the nearest one is 20 miles away so not tempted phew!

hi im 44 yr female from uk,im on medication for anxiety depression when im really low the dr upps my dose when this happens i tend to put on about 45 pound a mixture of meds and me eating more because of the depression,ive been yo yo ing like this now for about 4 yrs,1st of july this yr i was sat outside and my hubby took a pic of me i was huge(252 pounds)also my dad and brother both died from heart attack age 44 and 36 ,i was thinking im the same age as my dad was when he passed away and to be honest it scared me,so since that day ive been losing weight 38 pounds so far,ive also started the gym 3-5 days a week which i love, i prefer calorie counting because if i want a bit cheese i can as long as i include it in my logs,i am eating a lot healthier but nothing is forbidden so does make me feel guilty x

i agree with lynlette read labels,i check labels on everything some things that look healthy or low fat have high salt or high suger also the cambells condensed soups are great as there so thick i use them for sauces to add to my pasta half a tin of the mushroom is only 50 cals and lovely

hi all well i think we should all be very proud of ourselves,were doing great,i no how you feel wildntaken i seemed to bounce around 227 for weeks but it did start to drop and now 214 but its enough to make you scream lol,ive just put some pics in my gallery of me at my starting weight of 252 and me now,i cant see much diffrence but others can,have a good week all x
