VitaTops/Muffins are awesome! they are big for only 100 cals and like 1 or 2g of fat. They also have 50% of your daily vitamins and lots of fiber, they are actually pretty healthy. Like everyone else, the only rant I have is about the price. The Hungry Girl emails offer specials on these quite often (US only) For Canadians they have a free shipping special on right now (for the first time ever!) for ON and QC residents if you spend over $75 |

If it's only sweetened with stevia then it really shouldn't have any calories as stevia and vitamins have none. Also be sure to check the serving size, lots of bottled drinks have a few servings so they can claim to be lower cal.

I've never tried the Blue Cheese, but the Pancake Syrup is awesome! In my 27 yr I have never liked salad, until I tried it with the Walden Thousand Island Dressing, now I eat it daily, I also recently bought the Caramel Dip and added it in my cottage cheese and greek yogurt, awesome! Their products usally taste very chemically on their own, but added to something they taste good. |

There is no official RDI for sugar (I'm sure the Sugar industry has a lot to do with that) but the non offical RDI for a non diabetic is 40g a day! I'm diabetic and don't eat sugar or fruit and I still consume around 40g daily just from food.

| Recipes | 4 pancakes for 70 cals! | Feb 26 2009 22:09 (UTC) |

I use about a tsp of splenda. The tofu I used in the pics is soft, I've tried with silken many times and it won't stay together and comes out like scrambled eggs. Regular and firm also work good as well. I mix it all in a blender. Since there is no flour It doesn't taste like pancakes, so it's probably a good idea to be a fan of tofu (maybe try adding a spoon of flour and see how it comes out). I just spray a little Pam on a skillet and cook them, you need to be careful though when flipping them, they come apart easy. |

| Foods | Does fat make you fat? | Feb 17 2009 04:24 (UTC) |

Like the above poster said, body fat and food fat are 2 different things. Food fat is energy and is nessary to help nuitrients absorb into our bodies. You can eat pure fat, and as long as you are under your calories, you will not gain any weight. |

Remember every gram of protein has 4 calories. Usually 120-130 is standard for whey protein mixes, you can find some for around 90 cals. |

| Foods | Are there different types of Shirataki Noodles? | Feb 09 2009 06:45 (UTC) |

I've only ever had the House Foods Tofu Shirataki brand, which is a mix of tofu and yam root, but I believe most other brands only use yam root, which is fiber and makes it calorie free. |
