I also had success with Crest Whitestrips. They were easy to use and only cost, like, $30-ish.  The results last a while too.

I don't know if ur from a warm climate but, if u are, u could do a romantic picnic in a park, complete with some wine, cheese, etc.  My young children and I did this for Father's Day for my husband and he LOVED it.  He couldn't stop thanking me.  Its actually pretty inexpensive too.  U could always throw in something sports-related too since thats what he's into.  Undecided

Hey gals!! What a group we have!!  Welcome Lynn, jbugner, nutellabella and tsc319.  So...since we have such a great group already, I wonder if we should start off with a bang and come up with some kind of challenge. Like maybe a "perfect week" challenge, during which we all stick like glue to our individual calorie limits for an entire 7 days.  Please, give me ur honest feedback about the idea. If its lame, tell me.

We could start whenever we want and then report back after 7 days with pounds and/or inches lost.  Of course, we would post during the challenge as well to report progress and stuff.  So....what do u guys think?  Are u game?

Yay!! I'm so excited!

How to do this? Hmmm, how 'bout a weekly weigh-in and and checking journals and chatting??  Sound okay?  I don't really know.  I belonged to another weightloss forum awhile ago and we would challenge each other to sticking to certain calorie limits (nothing under 1200) or a "perfect week" challenge where we didn't cheat for the whole week.

I'm very new to this forum and still finding my way around.  the one I belonged to before was simpler to navigate.

Tracie~ Congrats on all the weight lost thus far! Our stats are almost identical.  I got down to 134 (size 8 jean) in Spring and thought it was the perfect weight for me...it just felt right.  But...I let my guard down for awhile and WHAM! before I knew it my old habits crept back. I guess losing the weight is only HALF the battle, maintenance is also a huge part of it.

Melissa~Great job dropping all those pounds! Your current weight is my final goal.  I can relate about the working out.  I try to get to the gym with my sister and, once I'm there, I have a good time and don't hate it.  BUT, its the getting there part that sucks!  My motivation to workout is very lacking.  Plus, since I lost the bulk of my extra pounds without breaking a sweat, I have it in my head that I don't need it.  I'm very good at talking myself out of working out and using excuses like too much to do or gotta get the kids here or get this done, etc.

I can also relate about the weekends.  I struggle to stick to my calorie limit.  Plus, I'm in a cooking/baking jag lately that hasn't helped.  I like making new things but with two kids and a husband, I tend to make stuff that isn't lowcal.  And, of course, once its made and in the house it calls my name constantly.
