Hi Everyone!  I've been waiting all week to post my loss.  this is a good idea.  Not much of a loss but still downward.  last week 182 this week 180.5 so 1.5 I'll have to have some better weeks in the future to make 15 pounds by Christmas but still better down for 1.5 than nothingLaughing Mel

Is that 1000 calories through exercise on top of what the burn meter says?  What do you do to burn calories? Mel

Hang in there Teresa.  I'm adopting the Tortoise and Hare approach.  I'm also doing the South Beach diet in combination with 1200 to 1500 cal per day and trying to do at least 30 min. on the elliptical.  Today I gained a pound according to the scale (grooooooanCry) but onward and downward as opposed to onward and upwardWink.  Mel

 I agree with you franchellb.  CC can be an amazing tool if you use it to help lose, but in the end it also requires something inside of you to achieve success with a permanent weightloss.

Hi,  I've tried hypnosis.  I went for about 3 or 4 sessions.  It wasn't effective for me in terms of weight loss.  It cost about $130.00 I think.  It was about 10 years ago. I did find however that one of the techniques he taught me was self hynosis for relaxation and I still use that to this day when I'm having difficulty getting to sleep or if I'm all stressed about things it can really calm me and relax me enough to fall asleep.  Mel

Someone was asking if spaghetti squash tastes like other squashes I would say it is completely different--not the sweet taste of other squashes.  It's yummy and sooo easy to prepare. Mel

Hello everyone.  Just checking in.  Had a crazy day at work today but was able to stick to my diet so far.  I'm also trying to drink 8 glases of water a day.  I need to turn that into a habit.  Unfortunately I'm more likely to grab a coffee than water.  How did everyone else do? Mel

Wow.  This is great.  I'm Mary Ellen 53 and motivated to lose weight.  I have a wedding coming up for one of my kids summer 2009. I didn't have a weight problem until I turned forty--then boom! I've tried lots of things WW, South Beach, TOPS, Herbalmagic  but nothing seemed to work.  Soooo I was surfing the web and came across this website.  I've decided to count calories as well as try to eat better and exercise.  I read a book called 'Younger next year' and it is really inspiring me.  Basically the message is exercise, eat right and think positive.  Looking forward to chatting with you while we all lose.

I just found this site and am interested in joining the group.  I am hoping to lose 62 lbs by summer.  Christmas would be great but I think a little unrealistic for me.Laughing Anyways I like the idea of a weigh-in weekly.
