I personally did not have a comment on the OP's original thread, but then I read on out of curiosity and it baffles me that people such as musical feel that the OP is not allowed to have an opinion b/c you do not agree, but continue with your opinion being "right". If you do not agree with the OP, then really, is there a reason to pick a fight. Others might feel the same way that she does and this is the place to vent frustrations to each other without being put down. If you had a constructive criticism, then that would be different

Why get yourself and others worked up over something that really does not concern you?

with that said, i will now be taking my nose out of your business....

I think many people have that problem! I have read many times that we crave sugar and make bad decisions when we are tired.

Try upping the protein and eating good fruit instead of cake?

Panacea911- at this point I am in the contemplation stage, this weekend I will set some time for the planning stage to set for Monday the action stage....

I think I either skip the planning stage or half the planning stage which then leads me to give up in the action stage.

Where are you struggling?

Thanks everybody for the responses- they are all great!

Nutella85- love the name :)- i like the mission statement idea, also

MADAMQ- the one minute at a time sounds like what I need.... It will help NOT set me up for failure I think

DKiesser- you have some very great points, when I am taking every second at a time, I will focus on the change :)

Runyourlife- I have attempted in the past to find motivation partners on here, but it seems that they disappear as soon as I find them- maybe I am picking people too much like me :) Along with my mission statement, i will write those goals out

Joline- they probably hear you and take that as their motivation :)

thanks again!! It was fun reading your suggestions!

I think you guys hit it on the head.... it is ok to mess up/not to be perfect at it, but just get back to it.... now to get it in my head....

And I guess Nike had something there with thier "Just Do It" slogan....

Thanks!!

I have gotten lazy and need to get back on track. When I was working out more, I looked and felt better.... probably felt better than I actually looked, but it is how you feel that changes your attitude. My bf is in super good shape... he does encourage healthy eating and working out, but like yours, isn't harsh about it. I think it is more that I feel better about myself than too much about how I look.

Sounds like we need to get motivated... Laughing hence the motivation forum?

What about getting a group of girls together on a thread (perhaps this one) so we can get each other back into our happy places ;)?

Daviscn- send some strep my way-lol only kidding. How are you feeling now? I know that can get you tired for a while even after it passes

Steph- I hope that shot works for you- nothing like having foot pain to set you back! I totally get that it is hard to switch workouts when you like one and are just eh on the others.

I am working on a masters in counseling- so far it is fun, work, but fun...

i totally wish i could be trained on the Biggest Loser... some of the workouts seem tough!  I have an old body bugg (from previous seasons)... so my goal is to really really use it :)

I'm here :) reading through comments and getting to know you all .... some days I can't really get on here, so I might miss some in between, but I will get here :)

I have been on here for a while and I did really great for a bit and then the excuses hit. I think I need to take it more slowly this time to get out of the all or nothing mentality. I do enjoy working out- when I am in the groove :) and love fruits and veggies- but for some reason I like to punnish myself by eating crud... actually, the stuff that I eat isn't so bad... it is the moderation thing.

I just started going back to school for my masters and am working, so I'm really trying to find a balance and have to admit that I am struggling a little.

Carly- I like the idea of challenges... maybe we should get a little weekly one going or something with this group? I work well when others challenge me :)

Steph- do you like swimming or biking? Maybe those can give you a break while your foot fixes itself :) My struggle came after college when I got a desk job- ick cubical butt! I have never been a runner, but had fun doing some 10Ks in the past- the problem is that I don't keep up in between so every year it is like starting over again... not this year- I hope :)

Autumn- I love the Biggest Loser!! Your schedule seems pretty tough to keep consistancy, but you can do it :) And great job on the 1 lbs down!

Leronia- gosh, I guess I can't complain about being busy :) I find that I do better with everything when I have a scheduled work out, even though it takes time out of the day- I just get more done... I am with you there on the gym being a stress buster... its just making sure that I schedule it :)

My goal for next week is to write out goals-lol, but true

At the risk of ruining your thread (it seems like everytime I find a forum that I would like to be a part of, it dies quickly), I would like to join??

I just need people to check in with daily or at least every other day? to keep me on track... I do really well and then something happens and then I make excuses to go off track for a bit... NO MORE EXCUSES!!

I am trying to get back to being motivated- today is true day one of getting back on track and I would love to have some buddies!!

I know everybody is busy- I just miss the chat... I have been horrible about posting... it is time to start journaling again.... funny how that really kept me on track.

Maintaining is good esp. since you are so close to your personal ideal. How much longer working two jobs?

I'm getting through... these last two weeks have been stressful and I haven't been taking care of me like I should so that probably makes it worse..... I have to get back into working out and eating better! It is so stupid that I let myself go a little b/c I feel tired when those are the things that make me feel better in the long run...... eh, I WILL I WILL do better!! :)

I hope everybody is doing well!!!

sweetandbrown- I know exactly what you are saying- I have recently lost a few pounds and someone mentioned it, so in my head it gave me the freedom to not stay on top of things?? So, for the last two weeks I have been in I don't care mode- but that stopped yesterday.... well, at least I didn't give myself freedom to eat and drink to my heart's desire. Luckily, I have only gained 1.5 (on a good day) lbs back, but if I keep this up, I will be back to square one and then some.  For the next few days, I will continue to stay conscious of what I eat and try not to over induldge... Sunday my goal is to make a meal plan for the week and monday back to counting and checking my deficit. See, if I write it down, that means I have to do it, right? :)

Luzd, that sounds like a good plan- good luck and I hope it gets easier for you!
