I'm loving the 30 day shred, although I have to admit, somedays it kills me to get through it!  I've only lost 3 lbs (but I'm smaller only 125 lbs) since starting 30 day shred, but I have noticed a change in my body, I think I look stronger and I definately FEEL stronger.  I'm on day 21 and I did Level 3 for the first time today!  Level 3 is hard but I like it better then level 2.  I also bought Jillians 2 new DVD's and plan on adding those after I finish my 30 days.  I will probably only do the 30 day shred workout when I'm limited for time.  Her other DVD's are 50 minutes. 

Anyway, if I've made it this far anyone can do it!!!

Great idea!!  I'm already doing this (on day 15 today) but I want to encourage you all not to give up and you will get results!!!  This DVD is worth every penny!  It is very hard at first, but get easier every day!!!  I already see a difference in my body and I'm down 5 pounds which is huge.

I've started doing the shred first and then my cardio after and it's working much better!!

Sorry to hear about your weight gain....i'm sure it will come off quickly if you stick with the shred!  And you're right our weight has to go down!!!  :)

I weighed myself this morning and I'm down 2 pounds!  I can also tell my love handles are tummy are a tiny bit smaller! 

I'm actually thinking about doing level 3 on Monday.  We'll see how ambitious I am :)  I already ordered Jillian's 2 new DVD's too!  Anyone else?  I'm very excited!!!

I've been doing this for 2 weeks now, I'm on day 14...I've been doing level 2 for 7 days now and am loving it.  I can see a small difference in my body, especially my middle.  I'm beginning to look more toned.  I ordered her two new DVDs already off Amazon, I can't wait for them to get here!!!  I've lost 2 lbs since doing this....  :)

I'm so glad I found this!!!!  I've been struggling big time here.  I'm 4'11 and currently weigh 127.  I was eating 1400 but the weight doesn't seem to be coming off as fast as I want it to and it's getting frustrating.  I feel to go much lower I will start depriving myself!  And then I end up binging.  And it's soooo hard when you have children!!  I can't make cookies or brownies for them.... b/c I'll eat them all.  My self control isn't very good around freshly baked goodies. 

So I'm trying 1300 this week.....is it okay to go up a little on days you exercise?   I'm worried if I eat more, I won't lose.  Which seems to be my problem b/c when I exercise I'm STARVING.  so on days I exercise maybe eat 1400 and day I don't exercise 1200??  Will I begin to lose then????

Yep, I'm 4'11 and so jealous of taller people.  When people complain about being 5 foot something I get like grr!  at least you're 5 feet tall LOL!!!

Hello!  How are you guys soing?  My name is Robyn, I'm 29 and a SAHM to 4 kids.....Megan 9, Elijah 7, Andrew 5, and Joshua is 2.  Joshua our youngest has very mild Cerebral palsy.  He just started walking a few days after his 2nd birthday!!  I'm married to Chad since August 12, 2000....so this year will be 9 years....holy cow :)

Anyway, I'm here b/c I'm sick of looking at myself in the mirror and not liking what I see.  And I want to get back into "healthy" BMI....I need to get down to 122 to be in the top end.  My hubby and I are supposed to be doing this together, but I feel like I'm doing it all alone.  Hubby weighs 285 and is 6 feet tall.  He says he has no time, which is true with work and commuting to work (80 mins a day total on good roads).  When he gets home he just wants to play with his kids and veg. 

I'm already frustrated.  I'm exercising 6 days a week for at least a hour each day.  I do at least 30-40 minutes on my treadmill and I also do Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred (for almost 2 weeks now).  I plan on buying her new DVD's to add to my workout.  I've noticed a small change in my body since starting the DVD.  I haven't lost any weight in weeks.  So, maybe I'm gaining muscle?  I hope so!!!  I want that toned muscular look, I think it's sexy.  I can handle not losing weight if I'm gaining muscle but my clothes are fitting no different so I'm not losing inches yet.  And maybe I need to eat less.  I hate the eating part.  I LOVE to eat.  I was eating 1400 a day....but moved down to 1300 this week and wonder if b/c I'm so short I should be eating 1200.  Which is literally nothing I think!!! 

How are you guys losing the weight?  Do you have support b/c I hate telling people I'm trying to lose weight (esp my family) they are so unsupportive.  They are like "why you look fine the way you are?"  I know I'm not obese but I do need to lose 10 lbs.  For me.  My clothes will fit better, I will be more confident.  I hope I'll be happier.  I notice when things get frustrating or I get bored I want to eat.  So now I grab grapes or string cheese.  but then it stinks when it's gone b/c I want to keep grazing....uggh!  So hard to stop these bad habits!!!

Sorry so long.  I'm so interested to find out how you ladies are doing it!

smaller frame ~ After my last baby was born (2 yrs ago) I've kept the weight around my middle.  Never had that before!  But as my mom says, I'm getting close to 30 so my body changed.  I do have a big butt too...but I like my booty :)

Sorry things are so rough for you!  I haven't lost any weight yet either.  Last week I was up a lb.  My hubby says I need to be more patient.  Well I've been doing this exercise/diet thing for 27 days now....seems like I should be seeing some results by now!!  I'm getting really frustrated.  I do feel good though.  I think I do good on my calories and I exercise almost everyday for at least 1 hour!  Last week I only took Sunday off!!! 

anyway...I did level 2 yesterday and HOLY CRAP.  Natalie couldn't even keep up on the DVD!!!!  Healthmd....stay on level 1 for now.  I'm going to try level 2 again today but may alternate Level 1 and Level 2.  Level 2 got me sweating like a pig!  The cardio was SO much harder!!!  Jillian says it will get easier and I sure hope so.  Right now I wouldn't even THINK about Level 3....maybe in a few weeks!

Actually you can tailor you jeans to look the same!  It's called "grafting" or "keeping the orignal hem".  The seamstress will cut off the finished bottom of your jeans and sew it on top of length after its been shortened.  It looks so much better than just having your jeans hemmed.  Both Macys and Nordstrom alter jeans that way for about 20 to 22 dollars.  I go to an alterations shop and they do it for 20.  Its worth every penny!  A good trick is if you find a pair of jeans you love, by two pair!  Then go to the tailor with your highest pair of heels and a pair of sneakers/flats and have each pair tailored to fit your high and flat shoes.

 thanks for the info about hemming.  I usually just take a pair of scissors and chop them off.  It's kinda gotten to be my style.  Although, it would be nice to have a pair of jeans look "nice" on the bottom.  I already decided I'm going to buy myself an awesome pair of Silvers once I get to my goal weight, I will definately have to have them hemmed!!!

Really??  Most of you are taller then I am!!!  I'm 4'11 and 127 lbs.  I don't HATE being short.  There are just a lot of times that I don't LIKE it lol.  I don't like it that I can't find jeans that are short enough (unless I'm a size 0-1 which I'm not).  I don't like it that I can't reach anything without climbing up on countertops...  I've become very creative on how to reach things and it makes my hubby crack up at me Sealed  AND a normal woman who wears a size 8 doesn't look chunky but I do.  So that does bother me. 

But do I hate it, NAH.

This is what I do---I'm no expert I'm just beginning too--- and I'm limited in time and what I can do b/c I'm a SAHM with young kids.

Monday 40-60 (walking 5 min 4mph/running 5 min 5mph) minutes on treadmill  & 20 minute DVD Jillian's 30 day shred (this is the only DVD I'm doing right now)

Tuesday 30 min (4mph)walking on treadmill & 20 mins DVD workout

Wednesday 40-60  min on treadmill (4 mph walking/5 mph running) & 20 min DVD workout

Thursday 30 min (4mph)walking on treadmill & 20 min DVD workout

Friday 40-60 min treadmill (4mph/5mph) & 20 minute DVD workout

Saturday ~ try to walk outside (if the weather permits), play with kids (sledding, rollerskating, tag, hide-n-go seek) & 20 minute DVD

Sunday ~ day off

I want to feel sexy again.  My hubby says I am but when I look in the mirror all I can see is the fat around my tummy and thighs.  I don't mind the stretch marks....those are from my kids growing inside.  I'm proud of those :) 

I want to wear a bikini.  I haven't worn one since I had my first child.

Thanks melkor....I was wondering the same thing!  And elovey you're not the only one struggling...I'm right there with you.  I was doing good before the holidays and gained about 3 lbs back.  Let's stick with it, we can do this!!!

Thanks so much thmheh.  Your advice is wonderful.  I'm really hard on myself and for some reason think I should "see" results sooner.

I've been thinking about buying Boot Camp!  I've got Jillian's 30 day shred and I'm loving it.  I think maybe after I finish my 30 days I'll go out and buy Bob :)

I also walk/run on my treadmill......today I walked 5 minutes (at 4mph) then ran 5 minutes (5mph) for 40 minutes.  Then I did the 30DS.  I try to at least get 30 minutes on my treadmill 5 days a week.

Hey faithymom ~ I know how you feel!!!  I couldn't find our remote either and couldn't make it play....I searched and found it under the couch!  Kids!!! 

I hope you find it....GOOD LUCK!!!  When you find the remote you should hide it from them in a secret place so you can always find it :)

I'm off to do the DVD right now!!  I just finished 40 mins on the treadmill and was taking a minute to catch my breath and grab a few sips of water.

I love this DVD!  I bought it on Saturday at Target for $14 and have done it everyday since.  My muscles are sore EVERYWHERE....but a good sore.  The sore that says you are getting stronger!!  I plan on trying level 2 after 7 days. 

lovlilynne ~ basically it's a 2 minutes of cardio (jumping jacks, jumping rope, punches, butt kicks) and 2 minutes of strength (push ups and some moves with weights) and 1 min of abs....repeated for 20 mins (hope that makes sense).  there is a brief warmup and cooldown.

Well I did it!!  I walked 60 minutes at 4 mph on my treadmill and did the DVD for 20 mins....and actually it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be!  Going up and down stairs is so painful though, and as a mommy and housewife going up and down those stairs is something I do 10 million times a day!  Today I'm trying to avoid hehe.  That DVD is awesome.  I hope I can keep it up for 30 days!!!!
