| Weight Loss | HELP! I'm getting married 10 weeks today and need to lose 2 inches from my waist, 2 from hips and 2 from bust to fit my DRESS!! | Oct 11 2008 09:22 (UTC) |

I'm not an expert, so I wont even attempt to give you advice on your diet. But from experience pilates and yoga do wonders for losing inches. I did pilates to fit in a dress I had bought a few months before prom. I had a few more inches to lose. But it helped alot. Two inches really isnt that much. I think if you started doing pilates everyday (some videos only take 20 minutes!) it will definatly help with the inches for your waist and hips... Not so sure about your bust. You could try lifting weights and focusing on your upper body, that should help some!
I hope this is helpful. Like I said I'm not an expert I'm just speaking from experience. |

| Health & Support | Battling Bulimia | Oct 08 2008 08:27 (UTC) |

I know what your going through. I have been battling bulimia since I was 13. When my mom found out about it she took things into her own hands. She got me on weight watchers, worked out with me, and stood outside the bathroom every time I was in there (even if I was just showering). There are no at home treatments I know of, I would've done them all. I didn't think I had a problem, I still found ways around my mom and her ever watchful eye. It wasn't an everyday thing for me, and like you I would go months and be fine. Until it got bad, and it became an everyday thing. One thing you have to understand is this is something you have to be prepared to fight for the rest of your life. I have never gone to a doctor, I got through the worst of with the support of my mom, my family and friends. But it's still there and it will always been there for me. For now I have it under control, but the urge is always there, especially when I over eat or on the days when I just feel gross. But I have a group of friends I call, and I will always have my mom. You need to get help and you need to have the support of your family and friends. Bulimia is a serious problem and it will only get worse. Just remember it's not hopeless. You can make it through this, you can get better. |

| Health & Support | Fasting for religious reasons, what should I eat the day before and after? | Oct 08 2008 07:46 (UTC) |

I was raised mormon and once a month we fasted for 24 hours, it was the same thing no food and you could only drink water. The day before I would just eat normal, maybe have a little bit more for dinner than usual. :-) But the next day when I could eat I would only allow myself to eat a little bit. If you eat to much after not eating you can make your self sick, which I did plenty of times. Trust me it's not fun! You could probably eat anything that you want just eat it in moderation, and don't eat to fast. I hope that helped. |
