I was wondering the same thing myself. I always weigh 5-7lbs more at my dr's than at home. On my scale and my moms scale I weigh the same. I think that the scales at the dr's office get a lot more use out of them than the ones at home. Atleast that is what I tell myself |

Hello.. I have about 66lbs to go until I reach my goal weight. I have been a member of CC for a month. I started my weightl oss journey Sept 21st 2008 and have lost 23lbs by counting calories and exercise. Here are my stats. SW (starting weight) 247lbs CW (current weight) 224lbs GW ( goal weight) 150-160 Height - 5'7 Age - 34 Female |

Well I have to say my main motivation is my health. I have several health problems I am sure I could get rid of just by losing weight. My Family and my health are equally important because if I am not healthy I can take care of them. My husband is awesome. We are both overweight and he had been doing the calorie counting with me (because I fix his meals) and about 2 weeks of watching me walk on the treadmill he asked me one nite "can I use that thing" I said sure you can! I sat and watched him walking and the smile on his face was so wonderful. He told me how proud he was of me for doing it .. it made him want to do it. I made myself a spredsheet and keep my walking, miles etc.. and then he asked me to make him one.. it is so cute! He does not get home until 11:30pm from wk and he will change clothes put on his tennis shoes and start walking. I am already asleep so he will write down his info from the treadmill and give it to me in the morning. I am so proud of him. He has helped me SO much with motivation. Lastly, I have to say this website! I cant wait to log in my information each day.. it helps keep my day in check. I just love it! |

That is AWESOME !! good for you I am 5'7 230lbs and I walk 45 minutes 6 days a week.. during that I will do four 1 minute runs and it feels amazing. I started with just one 1 minute run and now I am up to four. I space them out like every ten minutes.. I have lost 17lbs in just 4 weeks. Keep it up, but also listen to your body. Congrats! |

Good question, I am wondering the same thing. I am wondering if I should be logging my exercise I do daily if I set my activity level at "Light" or should I put it back at Sedendary and log my exercise? I am so confused too. |

Well I got a digital at Walmart. It is a Health O Meter! U can program 2 users and it will track your weight. Now the problem.. I weighed 240 at the dr's office last thurs and today the scale I bought says I weigh 234.4lbs I dont know if I should trust it or not. I want to trust it.. It has been 5 days since my visit so I possibly could have lost weight. What do u think? |

Thank you ladies! This week has started off much better and I feel great. I have a follow up dr apt tomorrow and they always weigh me so I am excited to see how much I weigh. It will be a week since I was at her office so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I hope you get a great estimate for your house mjbilly. I hope everyone is having a great week so far. Thank you for the replies. I talked with my husband about it and he said that maybe this weekend we could maybe split a candy bar. And I wouldnt and hadnt planned on giving my infant candy, but she will want to trick or treat like her big sister. Thanks again. |

I will have to try and find a full length pick..(dont take many of those) Well I have had a crappy 4 days! I spent the night in the ER Thursday night with horible stomach pains that had started that morning.I went to my dr and she said she wanted me to have a CT done. Well 2:00am and I am in so much pain. They seem to think I may have crohns disease or some other GI prob. Friday night went to the ER with my 14 month old.. she and her older sister were playing and she fell and split open under eye.. she did not have to get stitches tho. And now I think I have pulled something in the back of my ankle. I have iced it and streched it but it sure does hurt. I walked yesterday and today it was painful but I walked thru it. I am hoping next week will be better. I hope everyone had a great weekend. -Angie |

I would love to join! I am 34, 237lbs and a size 20. I just started my weigt loss journey for life and cant be more excited. Sunday 9-21-08 it started with a 15 minute walk on the treadmill and I am now up to 45 minutes 2 miles a day. I missed Saturday and I think I might make that my (break day) I have also started to count calories as of today but it started with portion control a week ago. My goal weight is 150. I am so glad I found this site.. -Angie |
