It wasn't as kickboxy as I thought it would be - they used weighted gloves (optional) and strike sticks (weighted sticks) and did do some boxing type moves and motions (uppercuts, jabs, boxer shuffle, etc) and they incorporated some kicks in as well. They also did lunges and jumping jacks and other cardio stuff. It was fairly intense but it was fun! |

I do! I just signed up on Monday so my first kickboxing (Strike) is tonight. Let me know what questions you have and I will answer them tomorrow. I'm thinking I might take Fridays and Sundays off every week, so I'd just be working out on Saturdays on my high impact week. I also might switch Strike with Fluid Strength on the low impact week Wednesdays. |

Original Post by hannahriedel: The nose and tooth was because we were rolling around wrestling on the ground and fighting, and his big hard head hit my nose. And my big hard head hit his mouth. Knives and kitchen chairs are not acceptable, but every child is going to have scraps with their siblings. And I take GREAT offense to those who are assuming that their parents "brought them up right" and somehow mine "brought us up wrong" because we fought as children. We are both extremely well adjusted, educated adults. We don't run around beating up on people, we have steady jobs and aren't addicted to anything. My mother did a damn good job raising us regardless of if we fought or not. |

Ugh, don't get me started on parents and kids in the movie theaters. We went to see Up one weekend, and while I know its for kids and was expecting them there, this couple brought in their 2 year old who proceeded to whine and cry and fuss for the entire movie, while the parents just kept passing her from one to the other. I'm assuming that after paying ten bucks a ticket they didn't want to miss the movie by taking their child out of somewhere she obviously wasn't interested in being at. Great parenting. I was an extordinarily picky eater when I was younger, as well as extremely stubborn. My mom tried everything to get me to eat some things but I refused. She even did the "you don't get to leave until you finish your tomatoes". She said one night I literally sat there for 5 hours, and I still refused to eat my tomatoes. It just wasn't worth it. Luckily I did like corn, peas, broccoli, spinach, mushrooms and a few other veggies and wasn't that keen on candy and sweets (carbs, however, were a whole 'nother story). Anyways, back on topic, people are assuming that tootsie pop was for breakfast. How do we know that it wasn't meant to be an afternoon snack for her? I don't know about you, but I don't eat my lunch as soon as I get to work in the morning just because its there. I wait until lunch time. |

Original Post by trhawley: I don't condone anything - my brother and I were very harshly punished by my parents when we fought but it didn't change the fact that we were kids, and kids are going to fight. Do you have siblings? Did you never get in a fight with them? Does that mean your parents weren't doing their jobs because you did? |

My brother almost broke my nose once when we were younger, and I knocked one of his teeth out (luckily it wasn't a permanent tooth). We fought like cats and dogs when younger, I think we got along maybe one day out of the week. However if anybody else put a finger on my brother I'd kick their ass (and I actually almost had to once, because she was a girl and he doesn't hit girls that aren't family members, lol). We still fight sometimes (verbally now) but neither one of us are violent to others or each other anymore - we grew out of that. Like most normal people do. And now we get along fine (most of the time). My mom would have been PISSED if the cops got called on us, and it really wouldn't have done anything other than make our sibling issues worse. Bad idea. |

I'm more concerned with the fact that you were looking at his e-mail accounts after you'd broken up than the fact he was behaving as any other guy whose girlfriend dumped him (which is a period of mourning, and then moving on), especially after a couple months. Even if you were talking to him at the same time he was talking to these other girls, I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't completely assured of your seriousness in getting back together and wasn't quite ready to drop everything for you until he was sure. You're not the only one that needs to be reassured, especially since you're the one who did the dumping. I don't quite see why you feel he needs to "prove" to you that he's faithful when a) you weren't together when it happened, b) he hadn't done anything to make you question his fidelity while you actually were together, and c) YOU ARE THE ONE WHO DUMPED HIM. If he was as perfect a boyfriend as you say, maybe he's better off without someone so flighty and nosy. Just saying. |

I'm confused, I smoked a hookah in vegas and the lady said that what I was smoking was tobacco free. And I'm pretty sure it was, because I inhaled (I don't smoke at all) and it was like inhaling flavored fog. No coughing or anything. |

Look, you don't have to like MJ. But you cannot deny that his music was revolutionary and he was a huge inspiration to generations of musicians. A lot of people are upset or surprised at his death. If Dick Cheney was to kick the bucket tomorrow, as much as I can't stand him, I wouldn't use his death as a chance to voice my dislike of the man. Have some basic respect for people. Jesus. And yes, MJ was just as important to music as Lennon was, regardless of what his personal issues were. They were important in different ways, but they were both still important. |

That's what pisses me off - that he up and vanished for a week without transferring power to the lt. gov, so nobody was in charge. Nobody knew where the hell he was, he was out of touch...what the hell? If I did that at my job I'd be fired. Why isn't he. The neo-cons can bring up Edwards and Clinton as much as they want, but they enver up and vanished without leaving anybody in charge to go boink their mistresses. |
