Thanks everyone. It really helps to hear that what I feel is legitimate, and I think I'm going to try talking to her this weekend. You guys have all been so helpful and nice about everything, and it's making me feel better about trying to fix this, so thanks again!

There's actually a time tested, certain solution for this issue called "belly breathing". Sounds silly but it works. All you have to do is force your stomache outward while breathing in deeply. You can do this while running or if you're just standing still taking a break. 5 or 6 deep breathes and you should begin to feel the sticth lessening. Hope this helps!

this is totally the group for me! im 5 ft9 and wiegh about 145 lbs and want to be 135lbs. my weight has yo-yo'd everywhere from 160 to 139. I really want to make it to my goal this time. what have you guys been doing to reach your goal? how much do you guys work out?
