This could be a crazy sudgestion but I saw a commercial for Hip Hop Abs on tv today. Ive never tried it or heard of anyone I know trying it but it looks fun, dont know if it works though. Anyways, it seems like a non boring way to work out your abs. If you like to dance try it out lol and if you do let me know if it works for you! :) Good luck! |

| Fitness | I have NEVER been able to do a pull up. | May 06 2009 16:43 (UTC) |

I was the same way for the longest.. What I did at first was start out with a giant band. My coach had me loop it around the bar and then loop it under my feet. I did that for a few weeks. Plus there are different weights of bands you can use so try eventually getting to the smallest one. After that I was able to do pull ups on my own. My work out calls for 2 x 10 pull ups but I do as many as I can which is normally around 2 x 6. And for me to be able to get those last 4 pull ups my weight partner will hold my feet behind me to give me a little help. Its all about baby steps! And youll get it. |

Very good point Im glad you mentioned that. I didnt even think about finding a specific trainer... I could of really messed things up with that. I am very serious with my pole vault training and my weight coach here at school makes good work outs but we can all tell its not ment for vaulters. Thanks! |

Oh yes I completely understand. 130 is a nice thought but if I keep my weight and just lose fat and gain muscle I will be so happy! I think my biggest problem is that 100% perfect diet.. I will look into the trainers at my guy or maybe ask people I know that have used a local trainer and see if they know their stuff. I wonder if there are trainers who are also nutritionist...? |

I came from the same situation you are in. I was eating between 600 to 800 cals a day now Im up to 2100! Dont be frustrated when you gain wait bc you will. It takes time and you have to be dedicated. You will love the end result!!! It took me about 3 months before I started to lose weight agian. Its so easy for me to lose weight now and I feel like I can almost eat anything I want and Im never hungry. So dont give up! And good luck with everything! |

I have a very long, narrow foot so I definitely love asics or adidas! But it all depends on how your foots shaped and what not like someone above said. Nike is narrow as well but they give me killer shin splints. |

Yes 20% doesnt seem like much but when you stand in line for the test and every girl in front of me is between 10-16%, 20 sounds like alot. Eugene, Oregon Ive always wanted to go there! I was going to go watch some of my friends in the Olympic trails, but didnt get a chance too..And I didnt know it was known for organics now I really want to go :) Im tall too, 5'9", and all my fat is right in the middle so like you said it is easier to hide it than a short stubby girl but Im on a college track team, there are no short stubby girls lol. Running 25-30 miles is great! I wish I could do that. Im a pole vaulter so I only run sprints but this summer Im going for distance. Like gi-jane said dont eat 'diet foods' like salad which I probably do more than I should which just makes me want to eat more. I love organic foods but my sources are limited in Arkansas. I go to ASU which is in Jonesboro and our city is surrounded by rice feilds. When my calorie intake is way low for the day I will eat some organic peanut butter, I make whey protein shakes, and eat alot of fruit not so many veggies though (im trying to fix that i just hate them raw).. Our caf is very unhealthy so I try to stay away from that and just make what I can in my dorm. Should I work hard on bring my calories up? And no I havent checked my nutrition stats on cc, I need to find that. |

Thank Yall so much for yor comments!! I was eating around 1000 cal a day and have increased to 1600. I am very active on my college track team so I lift 3 days a week and run 6 out of 7 days. I hope my metabolism is still fixable... I had heard that after increasing your calories you would start losing weight again after 2 weeks! But a month sounds more correct. |

I know what you mean. Im increasing my calories from 900 to 1600. Thats so hard for me bc I feel stuffed ALL day. Ive read that it is ok to gradually increase since your stomach has adapted to little food it needs time to adjust. Im starting to eat about the same amount of food that I have been in the past just food that contain higher calories. My favorite high calorie foods are natural almonds, craisins, fruit smoothies, home-made peanut butter crackers, and yogurt with granola. |

| Weight Loss | Eating more to lose, but feeling too full... could this be right??? | Oct 12 2008 13:39 (UTC) |

I'm really glad you asked this. Lately I've really been wondering the same thing. Im 5'9 135 and they want me to eat over 1700! I honestly don't think I've ever done that before. So right now I'm eating around 1500 a day and I feel huge the whole day. So your not alone thats for sure, wish we both knew what to do about it because I hate this feeling... |
