I am sorry I haven't checked in sooner!!! I had a terrible last few days.  My start weight was 235 but by the end of the week last week I was down to 229 (hold applause lol) unfortunately it was the calm before the storm.. I got sick, ewww... not well at all!  I was down for the count Friday evening, Sat, Sun, Mon and yesterday.  And the worst part... Sunday was my 10 year Anniversary Yell 

Well needless to say being sick there was no exercise and I didn't eat very well either.  If it was quick and I didn't have to cook I ate it.. yuk.  I feel crappy today, but I am back to the gym tonight to punish myself, and mydiet is back in line. I am at about 900 calories for the day so far, with about another 4-500 to go and some gym time. 

This morning when I weighed myself I was back up to 232.5 Surprised which I know that most of what I lost before was water but it still sux to see the scale go up, especially when I know it was my fault..

I read this book a few months ago and just loved it.  I don't follow the "diet" or anything like that.  I do take some of the principles and apply them to the things I eat.  I at least now know why certain foods effect me the way they do and how to avoid the pitfalls.

 I used to have the same problem, everyday around 1-2pm I would find myself EXTREMELY tired.  To the point I would nod in my office until I got a piece of chocolate or a cookie and some coffee.  When I changed to healthier eating I was really worried that it was going to get bad.  Now everyday I eat a piece of fruit around 1pm.  Cantalope, banana just something that has some natural sugar in it and I am good to go.  I have even cut down to just one cup of coffee a day and a couple of diet sodas (with caffine) a day.  This is a big change for someone who used to drink 4 or 5 cups of coffee and umpteen sodas a day.

Update - I have worked out for 6 days out of the last 7 and worked on my diet and have lost 6lbs in the last week.  I know this is mostly water weight I am sure, but 6lbs woo hoo anyway :)

An example of my eating habits are:

Breakfast: Kashi cereal with a cut up apple and maybe a handful of nuts and 1c NF milk OR Weight control oatmeal with a cut up apple or pear and cinnamon

Snack: Apple or pear or 100 cal mini bag of popcorn

Lunch: Salad (low fat dressing )or a sandwich on a 100 cal deli thin with low fat meat and dijonaise (and cheese)

Dinner:Pan seared Ahi Tuna steak with Bulgar and zuchinni cooked with tomatos.  Dinner varies a lot from 300 calories to 500 calories depends on what I want.. lol

Desert: (occasionally) 1/2 C of 100 cal low fat banana split ice cream or Skinny cow ice cream sandwich.

My calorie intake ranges between 1,300 and 1,700 calories.  but averages about 1,500 pretty regularly.

Also, the clothing idea is a great one.  I actually have clothes that are 2 sizes too small that my aunt gave me that I can't wait til I can get in to them :)

I would really like to join.  I have recently recommitted myself to getting healthy.  I have improved my diet and started going to the gym.  I have a long way to go, but I will get there.

Start Weight: 235

Goal Weight: 155-160

Goal for End of December: 15 - 20lbs

Yep.. I did the same thing.  I don't know what happened this weekend, but I really blew it Cry... I am starting back on my diet today, hopefully I can get my self back on track before the weekend comes.  Luckily I live way off the road so we don't get trick or treaters so I won't be buying candy for Halloween.
