today was full of loads of challenging foods for me! KIND bar sesame peanut chocolate bar with greek yo and fruit for snack...seemed like a scary flavor but so so good! had pumpkin ice cream and 1/2 a large vegan ginger cookie for nighty snack!!! YUMMM :) went over my calories my like 30 by accident, but who cared F ED ;) !!! xx |

Great job Leah! ahh and thank you for quoting me! :) you are such a sweetheart! <3 and your challenges today sound so delicious and you did SO well! i also find that i like sweet breakfasts, hence the fact that i have oatmeal every morning ;) but i would like to challenge myself as well, that is a great idea to break out of a comfort zone, and a sprouted bagel with cream cheese sounds so delicious and perfect!...used to be my fav as a kid! that is one of my food goals! and you, my dear have inspired me :) good night beautiful. favorite holiday cookie: gingersnap cookies favorite winter meal: pumpkin ravioli and carrot ginger soup. favorite winter breakfast: oatmeal, hemp milk, with dates and raisins, crystallized ginger and walnuts with lots of cinnamon, clove and ginger spice. favorite seasonal hot beverage: Starbucks chai latte(goal to get the gingerbread latte asap) ;) favorite seasonal winter fruit: persimmons, and dates favorite seasonal winter veggie: kale, all squashes, and Brussels sprouts favorite seasonal dessert: mom's apple crumble favorite seasonal tea: trader joes candy cane peppermint green tea. favorite holiday food memory: having lox and bagels at my aunts house xmas morning! What are you looking forward to most this holiday: enjoying freshly baked muffins, or cookies etc with a mug of hot cocoa or hot milk before while watching the snow...and going to the city as much as possible! and enjoying all the beauty of the holiday season :)...and giving back to my community ie doing community service around Xmas time...lots to look forward to! set a food goal you want to face this season: have a non oatmeal breakfast, bake more....and get a vegan cupcake out in the city, and have a seasonal latte at Starbucks! fun survey :) |

yesterday i baked muffins! i never bake, and this was the first time i successfully made muffins, and i didnt substitute any thing in the recipe :) they were delicious, cranberry apple ginger muffins and had it for night snack spread with cashew butter :) xx |

today i had pastini pasta and this was the THIRD day in a row that i had pasta for dinner!!! :) last night i had pumpkin ravioli, and the day before i had bow tie pasta, all whole wheat and organic etc yet still so proud of myself for having pasta 3 days in a row :) also today just now after dinner had my night snack which included 4 little french macaroons!!!! mmmm :) omg so so good, my all time favorite treat ever! had this with a glass of warm hemp milk + cinnamon :) best snack/dessert in such a long time, and it was also a big step, because I ate with my mom, and Maya(my twin who has anorexia as well) we made dinner for mom, and also had the macaroons with us :) havent ate as a family in a while...so it was really nice. xx |

ahhh so many horrible memories :( a lot of mine will be similar to ^ maya above, because we are twins...well here we go... when i was going out with my ex boyfriend august 2008 and around 73-75 lbs and he would tell me to put on a sweater, and his friends would make fun of how thin i was :( going into the hospital and them wanting to keep me there to tube feed me, and Maya and I ran out, then the police came to our home to bring us to another hospital where we stayed there for like 6 hrs until they deemed us sane enough to go home i was around 65 lbs at that time, and wasnt eating AT ALL, nothing for 10 days! then went into renfrew IP like 2 or 3 days later, even sicker. being wheeled in a wheel chair on bedrest for about 2 weeks in IP and holding my twins hand and crying as we were being wheeled to our separate rooms... having a temperature of 90 degrees and having a nurse wrap me in a heating blanket and sit by my bed most of the night in IP...while the nurse kept telling me how her 5 year old son weighs more than me... on my admission day in IP 08 being wheeled outside when the fire alarm went off, and a whole group of girls stood there and stared at me with their mouths open, and one girl i knew from a previous stay there, adn she started to cry. having kids at school refer to Maya and I as "those anorexic twins" :( a few months ago in trader joe's a handicapped woman was staring at me, and asked her caregiver "why is she so skinny, whats wrong with her?" & the caregiver looked at me in disgust and wispered something to the handicapped woman.... :/ having boys outside the college i was going to go to, but dropped out of, sing a song about eating food etc and laughing at maya and i. :( smoking a cigg, and a guy telling Maya and i that we need to quit and go eat something, ha he said "go eat a banana" not funny, but a banana? lol... starving this whole summer, depressed and just so so many bad memories of being miserable, and my mom threatening to throw me out of the house... my dad crying when coming to see me in IP, and my step mom, looking at me, and just walking away after barely a minute with the most disgusted and pitied look on her face, like she felt bad for me and thought i was a discrace :( when i was 15 doing the maudsley approach, my dad forcing me to eat so much, and me running away from the table, and hiding...and being made once to eat a 1200 cal slice of cheesecake, and then trying to throw it up...(i am not bulimic at all, that was the only time i ever tried to do that) but that was helllll!! ahhhhhh that was a lot, and so hard to think back to all of these things, i could go on and on...there are so many horrible things....5 yrs of this crap.... |

hey Leah :) i am hypoglymic as well, but it improved a lot once i gained weight, in September when i was in the 12 bmi range, my blood sugar was around 46! but then i got it checked recently and it was like 70 which is still not that normal, yet a lot better and an improvement. i also eat every 2-3 hrs, and a lot of sugar also like 150 grams a day or more usually, which my ED thinks is WAY too much, but i think with such low blood sugar, it is needed to eat things like a fruit, honey, agave nectar, and other things with sugar, i am sure with more weight it will improve lovie :) you are doing so well girlie, by the looks of your eats, and your positivity, i am so inspired :) xx |

Favorite flavor of ice cream and brand: laloo's goats milk fig ice cream...but my favorite flavor of all time is pistachio. Frozen hot chocolate or iced latte/other frozen coffee beverage: coffee...idk Favorite frozen meal and brand: i don't eat frozen meals, but i used to like Amy's brand meals, especially the no cheese pizza. Favorite flavor of sorbet and brand: ciao Bella blood orange sorbet. Favorite frozen fruit: frozen bananas or frozen papaya. Favorite type of popsicle/ice cream sandwich and brand: mint chocolate tofutti cuties Frozen waffles vs. pancakes vs. eggos: none...but i guess waffles if i had to. tonight i just had a serving of toblerone swiss milk chocolate fruit and nut chocolate, with my night snack, along with some goji berries and dried figs, prunes and warm hemp milk with carob powder...it was a pretty challenging snack, but soo good! :) ...i eat chocolate once in a while but i usually have dark chocolate, and milk chocolate isn't as safe with me for some reason but this was amazing, and so glad i had it! had this snack after having pasta for dinner which was a challenge as well! :) and yesterday, i had while i was sick with a high fever before bed i needed more cals to meet my cal goal so i had some yogurt and a tropical fruit tart larabar... that was sooo hard! i was sick with a 102 fever!... and that flavor seems scary to me...but i am really proud of the challenges i have done in the past few days, meeting my cal goal of 2500 everyday, while having the flu!! xx |

Hey guys, first time posting on this forum, but Maya(my twin) posts on here, and we usually eat pretty much similar things so i dont ever find it necessary to post lol...but today was so so hard omg, :( Maya had a 104 degree fever and was in bed all day, it was horrible, my mom was out most of the day with my brother, so i made her each meal and tried to get her to eat! she kept saying how nauseous and ill she felt which was so understandable...i just felt so badly for Maya, its so hard to re-feed while having a virus or the flu etc... :(but i have to admit it affected my meals as well a bit. well my eats are all over the place, so random and unplanned...i am a bit stressed out at the moment looking at my eats, thinking that it wasnt a balanced day etc...but whatever, a calorie is a calorie and all that matters is met 2500! breakfast: oats cooked in hemp milk and water. a prune.a dried fig and 1 tbsp dried cherries. a banana. peanuts and 12 almonds.(480) Snack: an Eat Natural Date pumpkin seed and walnut bar...(i did a swap with a friend from Switzerland omg this bar was sooo good!):) + an apple (290) lunch: 2 slices of Ezekiel bread(open faced) with one slice with 1 tbsp raw almond butter with 1 tsp honey and the other slice with avocado slices and veggies. and 1 cup steamed kabocha squash with cinnamon on the side...haha okay this was really really random :P i couldn't make up my mind, what can i say ;) (360) snack: i was so cold, and Maya with her fever didn't let me put the heat on haha, not really that funny, but this explains my snack of oatmeal :P yes i am quite the oatmeal addict. well i had oat bran cooked in water with some Greek yogurt stirred in, golden raisins, 1 tbsp wheat germ. 1 tbsp flax and 1 tbsp sliced almonds + cinnamon (380) dinner: brown basmati rice. 1 tsp coconut oil. steamed pumpkin. kale. string beans and onion. curry spices. tofu. and 3 tbsp raw cashews. (500) snack: 1/2 a large vegan lemon cookie, yum... crumbled in 1/2 cup Trader Joes ff fro yo... a medjool date, then after had 12 raw almonds and 3 prunes.....ahhhhhhh that was so hard, that snack, (490) 2500 ahhh i just did, cant believe i did...today was rough. i didn't even think i would come close to my cal goal...ahh i am so drained omg. *off to bed* xx lots of love to all you girlies :) |

thank you so much drivenlass and 062121...you both were so helpful, yes i got Maya to drink an odwalla juice smoothie she is working on that slowly...which is about 350 calories. the ice cream idea + nut butter is a great idea, and fluids, oatmeal and high cal low density things, definitely. i think the meds my mom got helped her fever go down a bit, down to around 100.5 instead of 104 which was scary high! but now she is sleeping...yea i am kinda taking my moms role...my mom is busy with my little brother, driving him back to boarding school today, so yea. :/ but i definitely think by later she will feel a lot better, with more rest, and hydration. and i know its so true ED's will take advantage when you are sick and say "oh yes! i can skip my meals and snacks!" that's what i was worried about, but i know Maya knows she must stay on track, she is one hard fighter. :)

hey guys :) first of all wow i am so proud of you lovely girls for all these amazing challenges and major ED butt kicking ;) lepetitelee- great job with the vegan cuppie yesterday that is amazing, and something i want to challenge myself to as well, living in NY too ;) i would love to go to babycakes or 'snice sounds fab :) and get a cupcake! you are amazing lovie. yesterday my challenge was that i had the jocalat german chocolate cake flav larabar with frozen ff yogurt for my night snack...idk why this flav was scary to me and sat in my pantry for like 2 months but i finally had it and YUMM :) it was so so good! and despite having the flu yesterday and feeling sucky, i stuck to my meal plan/calorie goal and got 2500! and didnt skimp or make any excuses not to eat due to not feeling well. :) xxx |

All time: Thai food, coconut curry rice with vegetable. Dessert:gingerbread cookies or pistachio ice cream... Fast Food Meal: none. Breakfast food: oatmeal made with hemp milk, with banana, dates with walnuts + honey. Drink: black coffee or green tea. Candy: ritter marzipan chocolate. Snack: Larabars, especially my favorites, cashew cookie. gingersnap, pistachio and coconut. ha i have too many favorite laras. ;) Chips: i actually hate potato chips...and have always. if i must do fast food, i would do subway or panera, and get a veggie sandwich at subway, and at panera, i dont really think thats "fast food" its all natural etc but i would def get the black bean soup or the meditteranian veggie sandwich + an apple. i havent ate any fast food in ages, prob the last time was at panera, in the winter a year ago, the day i was picked up from IP, my mom and sister came to get me at like 6 pm so we just went to panera, because it was so close to the treatment center, and i had the meditteranian sandwich + an apple. :) |

hey lovies! :) just now like 2 minutes ago, my dad brought over a box of amazing thanksgiving cookies from a french bakery, and i had a pumpkin flavored french macaroon(!!!) omg soooo good, but it was so challenging so spontaneous of me, no nutritional facts on it etc.... so i am just feeling super proud atm :) its the morning only 10 am and i had it right after my morning snack of a pecan larabar and toast with pumpkin butter. xxx |

ha easy question!!i would have oatmeal, favorite breakfast staple ever!! have it everyday day, im an oatmeal addict you could say ha...but i am a proud oatmeal addict, because i make the best oats ever ;) but i think i would have to have, old fashioned oats made with hemp milk, a banana, dates with pecans and walnuts, and honey :) xx |

healthy foods i love, i like everything pretty much, love oatmeal, dried fruits, sprouted breads and grains...quinoa, hemp milk(love) greek yogurt and all nuts and flax! i dont really like watermelon, cheese and i dont like organic frozen meals...i used to love Amy's products, but got kinda sick of them and dont care to eat that stuff anymore...also i dont really like chia seeds, i tried them they are okay i guess a bit odd tasting. |
