I am having the same problem. I have changed up my workout, so we will see. I eat around 1300-1400 calories, so I almost refuse to go lower, and I eat 5-6 times a day. Good luck |

My first grandchild is due in about 5 weeks, so thats my motivation! Also, I feel strong and vibrant. My family works out together. Brother at 50 had heart attack, so I started the gym with him and his wife to support him and we are all in this together. I have lost 30 lbs in 7 moths, but about 22 inches. Love my life |

I agree with the cardio. I strength train twice a week, but do cardio about 5 days a week, recumbent bike, treadmill, eliptical. |

Seasun, I also have osteoarthritis. I am 53 and since July I have lst 18 lbs, and approx 15 inches. I am a member of a fitness club that I go to with my brother and sister-in-law. We support and encourage each other and that is how I have been able to stay the course. When I first started at the gym, I could only do 30 seconds on the eliptical trainer and was lucky to last 5 min on the treadmill. I just kept trying and now I can do 10 minutes on the elliptical and 45 minutes on the treadmill at 3.5 at a 4 incline. I just do things and if it really hurts, I know to go slow or try something else. Water aerobics is great exercise for people with arthritis. Just keep trying. If you are uncomfortable standing lifting light weights, sit. While sitting, do leg exercises. I even do them in the bed, by raising both legs in the air, one at a time, and scissor kicks. Just listen to your body and find a way to work it out. Keep going and you wil feel so much stronger. Best of luck to you. |

When I don't want to go to the gym or don't have time, I use free weights that I bought at Walmart, exercise ball, and bands. Can use bands on door handles, stand on them to do bicep curls, etc. Best of luck to you. |
