| Foods | PB2!? SERIOUSLY!? Experiences, please! | Jul 05 2009 03:53 (UTC) |

I was excited when I heard about it too - and reading these boards, I went ahead and ordered it...and it is pretty good. Not the real deal, but ok... I used it, but I prefer the whipped p. butter for things like bagels. PB2 would be better mixed in with something - so your banana sandwich might cut it, or used in a recipe. I like my PB straight up - so I just make sure I save enough calories for my tablespoon on the morning bagel! It's not as good on toast, but might be great in oatmeal - not just straight on a banana tho. Hope that helps you! |

I agree, omonica. Singapore Airlines has the best food I've ever had on an airplane. And airlinemeals.net was very accurate in their descriptions! Have a great time! |

| Health & Support | Does anyone have "hypothyroidism?" | Jun 24 2009 22:46 (UTC) |

There is a group on here for people who are hypothyroid. I am subclinical hypo - I have severe symptoms that are relived by the drug therapy, but my test results always show me in the "normal" range. Also, I don't respond at all to levothyroxine, a commonly prescribed drug for the treatment of hypothyroid, but I do respond to Armour. I learned a lot from this site: http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/. Tons of info on the web, too. Good luck! |

Diabetes is diagnosed by high blood sugar readings. Since diabetes is precipitated by the reduction of insulin it results in elevated blood glucose levels. Talk to your doctor, and good luck! |

I love it too - but it's hard for me to have just a little...so I have the South Beach 100 calorie peanut butter bar. Answers my craving and is just the right size, and just enough calories! |

I love the South Beach protein bars - yummy, fair calorie count, a lot of protein and the price can't be beat! Peanut butter is the best, imo. |

Kindal - I buy mine at Walgreens, if there is one near you. I like it, tastes ok, but you have to keep it in the frig, so it is hard to spread. I use it on toast tho, so as long as I get it out a few minutes early, it's alright. |

Theresa - My stats are about the same as yours (5'8" - 230), and I have found the same as you. At 1750 I was lucky to lose .5 a week, but if I stick around 1200-1300 I have better success. I also walk about 3.5 miles (on the treadmill at a 9% grade) 3 times a week. When I first started and posted about no results, I was also told to up my calories. Didn't work - so I think amethystgirl is right on! |

| Health & Support | Can’t poop without laxatives: Graphic! | Oct 25 2008 03:06 (UTC) |

Original Post by lalabanana: They make a laxative, about that you are correct, but they also make a STOOL SOFTENER: see http://www.dulcolaxusa.com/us/Main/Dulcolax/t rust/index.jsp which is not bisacodyl, but docusate sodium. Also, "Docusate is also any of a group of anionic surfactants widely used as emulsifying, wetting, and dispersing agents. Docusate sodium may be used in a daily regimen in persons who are undergoing narcotic pain medication therapy to reduce the effects of chronic constipation or hardened stools which can cause severe straining, impaction, and torn rectal tissues." BTW, they also use it to remove ear wax... |

Same thing happened to me on Vicodin, and the hospital said it is very common - and I have never used laxatives. They switched me to a different pain med. In the meantime, Dulcolax helped me - it's not a laxative, just a softener. |

My husband has been on it for about a year and has not gained. He is much easier to live with now tho! I agree with glendaus, excercise and walking specifically helped me as much as when I was on Prozac. Good luck! |
