So this is so prevelent in my life right now it's not even funny...

 

so I made a big mistake two weekends ago where I drunkenly made out with my ex. My boyfriend, of a year, went through my email the next day...and found out about it! Now dont get me wrong, I was going to tell him, but I just didnt want him to find out that way. Yes I was wrong for doing what I did, but I feel he was also wrong in going through my emais...especially because before this I had given him no reason not to trust me.

On top of that, we have resolved quite a lot. but last night I woke up at liek 2:30, and caught him going through my phone! I cant live with my privacy being taken away...as much as I deserve him not to trust me I almost feel violated.

So snooping, is bad! either way you look at it!

holy crap! Im on YAZ and I know what you mean! My side effects havnt been that extreme, but I am totally not myself at all. I get so snappy and upset at the littlest things. I went off it for a bit, and maybe it wasnt long enough, because I still felt on edge a bit. but yes I think you need to try something else.  Iknow multiple people this kind of thing has happened to (which is the only way I knew to kind of pinpoint it to my BC!)

My suggestion would be to take her to the grocery store with you and every item you pick out tell her why its good for her, even tell her how many calories are in some of the bad food (to this day I am still learning about how some of my favorite foods are bad for me, and I didn’t even know it!).  I think if you give her information without directly pointing it at her, that it would help a lot without destroying your mother-daughter relationship and ‘comfort zone’.

Hey all--I have never posted on this thread before but I come see it once in a while to get good ideas for uping my cals. But I just wanted to tell you guys that I found an item on a menu at the local pub we are going to tonight that CLEARLY is calorie delicious.  However I have been scared to try it because of the odd combination of foods...

It's called the Skippy Burger: It's a regualr burger, with you guessed it, chuknky peanut butter, bacon and provalone cheese.

Its sounds horrible, but EVERYONe I know who has tried it says its one of the msot amazing things they haev ever tasted.  Im a fan of peanut butter so I think Im going to give it a try tonight. After all, it's my birthday, so why not splurge!?  :)

I've tried to tell her that if she doesnt eat...and then decides to go out to the bar and load up on a lot of empty calories, or to eat a more substantial meal that its all going to just store in her body because her mind thinks it's starving (which it is) and will USE all of it, instead of burning it.  I think that got thru to her a little bit.

Also she was saying how she was hungry once and then said right after it, holy crap its cold in here (it really wasnt that cold) so I snapped and said "well if you ate something then maybe you wouldnt be so cold all the time!"...I think this offended her...but I just couldnt hold it in anymore!

confession: I didnt count calories wednesday-sunday last week...because I was on vacation (but I must have been walking mroe because I think I LOST weight!) and I had Taco Bell for lunch...I feel horribly guilty, but it was SO good...and the only thing I was hungry for.

I have an advent calendar now...and I am making sure the ONLY sweets I eat are that one peice of chocolate a day. and I think it's going to help a lot :)

Breakfast: Chocolate Chip pancakes with real butter and smothered in peanutbutter.

Snack: Warm pumpkin bread

Lunch: Tomato and Mozzerella Panini with Creamy Tomato Soup

Dinner: My mom’s chicken and ham lasagna

–or-- sushi: particularly bagel/philidelphia rolls and mango rolls with miso soup and salad (with that awesome house dressing the restaurants usually have).

Dessert: Jack and Cokes, soco and mountain dews and any kind of shot my friends are willing to take with me (Im so sick of being scared of going out and having a good time not thinking about calories. And my liver is getting sick of those vodka/waters I always choke down

I have 1 sister who is about 5'8"
1 who is 5'11-6'
and 1 who is 5'9" ish.
My mum is 5'7" ish...
I would rather be 5'8" like my sister.

 I am 6'0 and I ALWAYS where some sort of heel when I go to work or go out at night. I got the best advice from one of my friends who is taller than me, and that is, if you are already taller than them anyway, then what's the difference?

You're lucky! trust me! I used to ahte it as well...but you will soon enjoy it! I promise!

also before I was intensly working out..and now I just walk for MAYBE 30 minutes a day.  I'd say I have boosted my over all calories (between consuming and working out) by at least 1000 to 2000

I snack between the time I wake up through lunch so I never have a huge breakfast...(its dangerous because you risk over eating, but managing it has become easier!)

Im thinking chicken breast with pesto and tomato over whole wheat pasta, a salad with onion cidar dressing and more pumpkin bread for dessert.

 ummm yeah...I hear ya. Dont let your boyfriend put icy hot on his sore muscles before you do anything either. Worst experience I can think of...and it was at the beginning of us dating so I went through the whole thing pretending I like it. wow. never again.

Mine isn’t quite as bad as these but it was back in my senior year of high school. I had just gone through my first real heart break. Devistated, I started talking to a guy I casually knew who went to prom with one of my friends. I wasn’t really interested but I could tell he was.  The next week was Valentines day, and since we both didn’t have anything going on we decided to go see a movie together. Horrible idea. Never make your first date on Valentines day, no matter how desperate you are.  It totally skews your expectations into something WAY more than it should be.  It probably didn’t help that when we got to the movie my recent ex’s best friends were sitting a few rows behind us.  The ENTIRE movie my date just kept staring at me.  From what I could tell it was his attempt to try to kiss me, so I did the best I could to stare straight at the movie the entire time, if I had moved my head an inch his way I was sure he would grab me and try to make a move. That’s when I realized I totally wasn’t in to him. Or maybe it was when he kept commenting on the lead actors hair and saying how he wished his hair was like that (the movie was ‘Miracle’…if you know what I mean you know that it couldn’t get much worse) oh but how could I have been so blind? Besides, he showed up at my house wearing the same peacoat my sister had. Man was I oblivious back then.

Just found this post and my stress level went from about 100 to 5 in the amount of time I read all of these.

I started making a list of all the things, here's some:

cuddling with my dog and boyfriend

[good]butterflies in my stomach

good food with good company

taking drives with the windows down

laughing til it hurts

not having to wake up to an alarm clock

lazy sundays

Breakfast: pumpkin oatmeal, sf pudding

snack: apples and cream

lunch: chicken tortilla soup, whole grain roll, dry cereal

dinner: going out (again...this whole restaurant thing is not helping my cause)...im going to try to go for some lean meat and a salad (or both at once).
