I'm recording my relapse. I'm determined to overcome it.

4 Days, no gym visits.

2.5 Jars of Peanut butter

2 loaves of bread

6 extra large tortillas

1 jar raspberry jam

3 sleeves of crackers

1/2 box of graham crackers

20 yogurts

11 cans of soup

2 cans of pumpkin

12 100 calorie pack snacks

10 100 calorie chewy bars

1/2 a box of fruitty pebbles

1/2 a box of chex

1/2 a box of fiber one cereal

25 full cups of milk

8 hotdog rolls

2 slices of cheese

2 luna bars

2 yogurt bars

7 servings of linguini pasta

5 cups of white clam sauce

2 full bags of frozen broccoli

5 large chocolate chip cookies

2 cups of carrots

2 packets of "weight control oatmeal"

...honestly, i can't remember it all. This is just what i recall eating in excess. Meaning, beyond what i needed to.

Yes, it hurt. Mentally and physically.

I fight the urge to repeat this every single morning i wake up.

Edit: I don't know how i forgot the entire bag of reeses peanut butter cups and the four pop tarts. I guess i almost blocked it out.

On christmas day i weighed 115. One month later, now, i weigh 127. I've gained over ten pounds in one month due to repeated and alarming episodes of binge eating. I'm scared of what this extreme weight yo-yoing is doing to my body.

No one answered you before christmas but how do you like the game? I got it for christmas too and i like it. I love the hula hoop levels. That one i do feel the burn. It's not an intense workout but its surprisingly sensitive to balance and i like the scale function. It weighs me and gives me my BMI and charts it all out for me which is nice.

I see guys look at me that never would have before which makes me angry and want nothing to do with any of them lol

and I notice others (like ppl at work and even some family) seem to have more respect for me which again upsets me. like when I was bigger I wasnt worthy of it but now that I have shown some self control with food I am...sad really.

Same here girly. My hubby's in the army and I have every single army guy looking at me now, Ive had 2 guys touch my booty and a few bump into me just for a grab, although next time Im slapping somebody. I realize too that these people would never have even looked at me last year. I also realized its in mens well all humans dna to be attracted to fitter people. I was upset about that for awhile, even up till about 1 month ago then it clicked, instead of getting mad at the ways of the world, conquer em. Use the power that you have over men now to get everything that you want, and dont feel bad about it just remember how they treated you before.

I noticed the exact same thing. If anything i'm even MORE shy and awkward than i was when i was heavy. And even so i've got guys putting their arms around me and calling me cutie left and right completely uninvited. It drives me nuts because like you pointed out, i know they'd NEVER have given me a second look 40 lbs ago. grrrr.

I think it's the fact that we can hear them that makes them say something. What I hate is the snickering and the indirectness of the commentary. Honestly; I'd rather have someone be able to come up and ask me about it, as opposed to pointing from afar and making obnoxious remarks to their friends.

In high school, a boy in my homeroom actually came up to me one morning and said "You are getting really skinny. I mean, you were already thin...but now you look too skinny...skeletal. What happened?" While slightly mortified by the fact that apparently, people noticed, I appreciated that he was just being honest. Especially in comparison to the girls who would follow me in the halls "OMG! Look at her! She's like the size of a six year old! Look at her wrists, I bet she got her watch out of the children's department cuz regular ones don't fit." Another time, I was cornered in the locker room by a group of girls who proceeded to tell me I was sickening to look at and disgustingingly thin, so much so that no one would ever want to touch me and how could I live with myself?

High school girls are terrible to each other.

That's HORRIBLE. You're right. High school girls are terrible to each other. Thankfully adulthood and mature relationships can repair some of that damage later on. Anyone suffering through high school right now: it will end, i promise.

I'm so sorry that he did that to you. Now you'll have the sweet revenge of being able to focus on yourself and your own happiness and make your life better than ever and leave him in the dust wondering why he ever lost you. <3

And just think, you're in a new exciting place!!! I'm jealous. Are you anywhere exotic? Being far from family is difficult but you're getting an experience of a lifetime! Keeping yourself busy is right. Just remember that you're amazing (no matter how much you weigh!).

Stick to CC. It's helped me through some really hard times too.

Scales basically measure the force of gravity against our bodies right? So i'm guessing that if you're not totally centered than you're not measuring your body's center of gravity because any unbalanced body parts will recieve more or less gravitational force.

So...i guess stay as centered as possible for the most accurate reading.

Though, irishmum has a good point too i think. If you're weighing just to see number of pounds lost or gained it doesn't really matter so long as you stand in the same place each time. Only if you want to know what your actual current weight is.

i can't remember what the brand was but freshman year of college i'd had a really good workout at the gym and was really craving a brownie so i thought i could treat myself. I happily skipped down to the vending machine, ate my TEENEY TINY two pack fudge brownie and then looked at the nutritional content..........1000 calories. I can't stress how small these things were compared to the calorie content. It was so horrifying it was hilarious.

I'm with you littlecalypso. I've spent the last two days binging. My definition of binging isn't just eating above maintenance, its eating until it literally hurts. I've spent the last two days eating until i was sick, crying, headache. Whole deal.

So i want  you to know i feel your pain and i know where you're coming from.

Three years ago i lost weight and had a binge relapse and totally gave up. Gained back all my weight and lost all my self esteem.

I felt the same way this time. But i forced myself to go out for a jog today. I got 'back on the horse' and it was totally worth it.

You and I are going to have days where we slip. But we both know that we can fix it. One day, two days, a week. We haven't failed unless we give up.

The most important thing you can do right now is forgive yourself. Forgive yourself and keep trying.

Stay strong. We're with you!

Hmm. This is a tricky one.

Quickly and lightly mist them with cooking spray and shake them in ziplock bags of colored sugars?

But then, you don't  have fruit loops, what if you don't have colored decorating sugars like we do? Or, what if that doesn't work anyway? haha. Lets see, we need a Plan B.

Second suggestion: Take some egg whites, color those with food coloring and then brush the egg white onto the cheerios? Maybe throw them in the oven for a bit if moistness becomes an issue?

I hope i helped.

I'm actually really interested in what works for you so let us know how things go!! :)

Yessss to the frozen yogurt. It's so amazing. The first time I tried it i bought the yoplait light orange creme flavor and i swear it tasted just like one of those flintstones push-pops i used to eat all the time as a kid!

21 year old female in Connecticut.

I've been overweight my entire life (i'm currently at my lowest weight ever with another 10 lbs to go). I've done the diet thing once or twice before throughout my pre-teen and teen years.

Source of motivation and success this time: I've just graduated from college and no one will hire me! haha. So while i wasn't job searching i had all this free time. I'd aced a nutrition course i took my last semester at school and i realized that i finally had all this time to focus on my health. I'm reinventing myself.

Peanut butter sandwiches.

1 tablespoon of the peanut butter blended well with some lite silken tofu. Then i warm it in the microwave and spread it on some whole wheat toast.

It's been a life saver. I hope that helps someone else with a peanut butter addiction. :)

Foods What counts as "water"?? Nov 23 2008

I have to correct one thing though.  The '8 glasses' is on top of the liquid present in food.  It roughly doubles your liquid intake.

It does? Oops. Thank you for clearing that up then. Who knew the tv would lie to me!?

oh wow! the same thing happened to me!! It's almost trippy. Like you read my mind.

I'm 21, i've been running a lot and i suddenly started getting that exact pain in that exact area and i've gotten it more than once. I also linked it to my bouncing motion and such. I don't have the best sports bra so i just assumed that it was a muscle pull of some sort. I usually just deal with it until it passes.

It's nice to know i'm not alone. I was sort of freaked out the first time. I'm sorry i don't know what it is either though.

First of all congratulations how how far you've made it!!!!!!! I don't even know you and i'm proud of you. That is a huge and wonderful accomplishment. Now i've looked at your picture and you are in no way disgusting. You're freaking gorgeous! I can totally identify with you on the "still feel FAT and gross". I recently fit into a size 6, which i couldn't even do as a KID, but i'm still looking in the mirror and squishing the fat between my thighs wishing it didn't rub. I'm also on a plateau. I've got another 10 pounds to go and the scale is just not budging. Personally i'm actually trying to increase my calorie intake and adjust exercise accordingly. I don't know if that suggestion would help you.

Good luck!!Wink

There's a program on Food Network called "Food Detectives" where they addressed this.

The 8 glasses includes all the water consumed through food and other beverages as well. So all the water you soak your tea bag in counts, the water content in the iceburg lettuce in a salad, even the small water content in things like hamburgers and breads.

If you're eating healthy foods like fresh fruits and veggies which naturally have high water content and you're also drinking lots of fluids like tea and juices i think you're okay.

Health & Support How do I stop binging??? Nov 22 2008

- Understand why you're binging. Then deal with that issue.

- Get away from food. Throw on some sneakers and run out the door if you have to. Go anywhere. Especially somewhere distracting and where food isn't available.

- If you start binging know that you can stop! It's never too late. Ever. Three bites in, twelve, 1 package of Oreos it doesn't matter. Never just think "i've already started..." or "might as well".

You can do this!

I did watch Ruby (new show on Style Network) and was surprised at how they approached the problem. She's an almost 500 pound woman with a positively glowing personality and inner beauty. She is surrounded by friends who just adore her. They really did explore the enabling that goes on. She admitted that she turns into a "beast" when she wants something and doesn't get it right away. Also, she seems to have had that epiphany needed to take things into her own hands and accept full responsibility for her condition. I think this one is going to be different.

Yes!! I watch Ruby too! I love that show. I think she's just wonderful and downright beautiful! Her show is different than those other programs. I can't wait to see how well she does with her weight loss.
