Your body obviously needs those extra calories. Think about your body as a car. When the car needs gas, it needs gas. When your body needs calories, it needs calories. It doesn't matter what the "calculated recommended calorie intake" is. Remember that our bodies are so complex and confusing. It's easier just to listen to it because you know yourself better than anyone or anything else does. |

that is so wonderful!!!! i have a pair of jeans that i've been fighting with for a while. hah. i can button them and all of that -- but they're a little too snug for the public. They always been tight on me and I bought them 3 years ago (they did fit though)! So hopefully they'll be loose soon. I can't wait! |

I am a pear shape. No doubt about it. But now I am running 5 miles every single day. On Tues/Thurs along with my running, I go to the Y for a boot camp. I am already seeing results! |

Here's my story: I used to count. I didn't have a life. I was always hungry and thinking about what I could eat next. I didn't lose any weight either. Now I eat when I am hungry. I know what is healthy and what is not healthy. I make the right decisions and pair it with exercise. I am already losing weight. I am a lot happier too! It's working for me! |

I'm with ya! I used to count calories but it wasn't a good way to live. Now I just listen to my body while making healthy choices. I feel really good! :) Hopefully I will lose as much as you did! |

hey safina1! I don't only do cardio. My boot camp involves working muscles all over my body. I do that only twice a week. I wish I could do it more, but I'm so extremely busy! I did work out this morning. I only ran 3 miles though. I plan on going for a run right now actually. I didn't feel like I did that well earlier. My legs felt like cement blocks. Gahh! I hate that feeling! :)

I am 5'7" and 147 lbs. My goal is to get around 130 though. I have a little in my stomach to lose and quite a bit in my legs. Damn those thunder thighs!!! ;) |

I'm going to try to run around 4 miles each morning and then some days I will have a boot camp in the evening or else I will finish out the evening with 5 more miles. Did I mention that I LOVE working out?! |

I am a big time runner and I eat a ton of fruit and I drink a ton of water. I don't get cramps anymore like I used to! I only stretch after the workout because if you do beforehand it doesn't do anything because you're not warm. Atleast that is what I was taught. |

Sometimes your body just needs those extra calories. This may be beneficial for you because this may help you lose weight! Don't beat yourself up over it because all you can do is look ahead and stay on track. :) Good luck! |

I agree with everyone else that you look really good!!! I definitely see some difference. I don't know if you are wearing the same pants, but if you are .. they are fitting looser. Also, your waist seems to have shrunk. :) Way to go! Keep it up! |

I am so unsure as to how often I should weigh. I will weight at most 1 time a week. But I am also thinking about weighing in after 3 week time periods. Hmm..I usually do once a week because I'm so antsy to see how I am doing. Hehe |

You know, that's a really good idea! I always hear that you shouldn't be checking your weight all the time .. blah blah blah, but I never listened. I think I might do it in 3-week intervals instead of weekly. :)

I tried calorie counting during the summer and it left me more paranoid than ever. I always felt like I was keeping track of every single thing and this caused me to be more hungry. What I do now is I eat healthy, but I go by what my body is telling me. If I feel hungry, I eat. I don't deprive myself from the junk food...the key is to eat it in moderation to get over the craving. You know women in europe eat all of that fatty food? The thing is that they eat in moderation and only when they are hungry. No wonder they are so damn skinny. ;) |
