I don't really care one way or another. I'm not particularly fond of Oprah, but she's always seemed innocuous enough so I never had a problem with her. I remember when she was just starting out and was working for one of my local Baltimore channels. I will give her one thing, the few times I watched her, she did good interviews. |

I'm a very private bathroom person. At home I don't even want my hubby in the bathroom when I'm on the toilet. I just feel it's something I need to have privacy for. I'm ok with peeing in a PR if there's someone else in there but I'm not about to carry on a conversation while I'm at it. I can't poop if someone's in there with me. I'll either wait them out or come back later. Usually I hope I don't have to poop until I get home because I'm always afraid I'll be the one to smell up the bathroom. One time I was at work and a woman followed me into the bathroom to discuss work stuff with me. I was mortified and asked her to please wait till I was done. I'm kind of a germiphobe and won't touch anything without a paper towel over my hand. Hubby says it creeps him out if another guy takes the urinal next to him if there is another one nearby. |

Everyone seems to be doing great! I did W1D2 on Wednesday and didn't come anywhere near the rest of you. I'm doing W1D3 tonight and I'm going to push myself hard to see what I can come up with. |

I'd offer 12,500 and be willing to go up to 13,000 when he turns it down. That might make him more willing to come down on his price if you're willing to go up on yours. Otherwise, if you really like the car, is $500 really the deal breaker in this? Could you possibly rework things to allow for the extra $500? |

Back in the day, I was very happy at 125 lbs. My current goal is 135 and it's probably going to be hard to get there at my age, much less the 125 that I'd like to be. |

135 is my goal as well. I started out over a year ago at 200 pounds and lately I've been bouncing around the high 150's to low 160's. I'm now struggling for every pound and can't seem to break through my current plateau. I'm happy to try and help you reach your goal. Perhaps along the way I'll be able to find the way to mine as well! |

I make gravy by opening a can. Everything but the cranberry sauce and the gravy is home-made on Thanksgiving. If you ever tried my gravy, you'd know why is't better that I just used the canned stuff. I've never gotten the knack for making gravy. EDITED TO ADD: Forgot that I get pumpkin out of the can for pumpkin pie. I once made pumpkin pie from scratch and it tasted good, but not significantly better than the canned pumpkin pies. The difference wasn't worth the considerably more work that it involved. |

I like it better than the home-made stuff. I think it's a consistency thing, much the same as my dislike for orange marmalade. I also like Stove Top Stuffing but haven't had it in a very long time. For Thanksgiving (where we celebrate giving thanks for all that we have), I make my own sausage stuffing. That's one day I don't count calories (one of the few). |

Can you request lowfat milk or perhaps soy milk? I don't know about your favorite shop, but a lot of coffee shops offer lighter alternatives to the high calorie drinks. If not, perhaps you can start by doing away with the whipped cream and work from there. |

I'm a little late to the party, but thought I'd add my two cents. First of all, the OP comes across as a little self-conscious and requires the approval of others for her own feeling of self worth. The problem is that no matter how nice you are, or how hard working you are, someone somewhere isn't going to like you. That's just how it is and to base your self-esteem on what other people think is setting yourself up for failure. Your own feeling of self-worth should not depend on the opinions of others. Now if it looks as if everyone around you is put off by a behaviour of yours, then perhaps it's time to re-evaluate, but a little confidence in yourself can go a long way. As for the knife incident, yes you're right, I frequently lick the knife I spread my peanut butter with at home and then I put it right in the dishwasher. I would never think of doing so at work. People often judge people by behavior that they exhibit in public. Have you ever seen someone with a messy work space and wondered what their house looks like? There are behaviors that are fine at home that are simply not appropriate in public and especially not a work. I suggest that you refrain from licking your knife at work and as for the fruit, I'm certain that you wouldn't want to eat food that had been handled that way by a stranger. After all, you don't know anything about their personal hygiene. I'm sure this was an accident, but I'd suggest that you take a bit more care when handling food that others are going to eat. Good luck to you and try not to let others get to you. |

Original Post by michachu: I agree with this for the most part. Alternatively, you could just begin again from there. That's what I'm doing. We just got back from 5 days in Key West where we drank to excess every night (not to the point of throwing up though) and I know that I gained a little of the weight back. I just chalked it up as my diet vacation and got back into my program. I'll probably wait a couple weeks before weighing myself so as not to get discouraged by some overindulgement. If I were you I'd just get back on the program, not worry about it, and resolve to do better in the future (or not). |

Well I'm 50 and don't look 20, will never look 20 again and that's just fine because I'm comfortable in my own skin. Yeah, I'm trying to lose the extra weight, and hopefully I will, but I've learned to accept myself. My man is 54 therefore he doesn't look 20 either, but that's fine too. He might look at the young girls, but that's as far as it goes and I know that. We're having a great time at this point in our lives and that's what counts. You just need to be able to accept you as you but it takes time to get to that point. |

I talk to my pets all the time and they do understand some of it. For example, my black Lab, Cody, understands what "out" is and of course "treats." I' not sure he knows what "the beach" is specifically, but he knows it's good, and he knows what his "fun bag" is. Miss Kitty, the cat pretends to not understand me and she basically ignores everything I say to her. Cody's nicknames are "Codydude" and "The Dude" and Miss Kitty is AKA "Girlygirl." |
