I think that she is being too strict. She should teach her kids about moderation. Also she is running a risk that her, completly denying her kids of thesse foods might make them want it more.She could of course point out the benefits of eating healthier food, and moslty serve healthy food.But as others said she shouldn't make any food forbidden.

jelly- I'm sorry, it sucks when it feels like you are losing your motivation.Maybe you should write a list for all the reasons you want to lose weight? I find it's easy to forget why you cared so much in the first place. for me it's been really helpfull logging all my calories on this site, even when I had alot of calories for the day, because then it keeps me accountable. Don't worry though, count your loses and then get back on track. Good luck!

I can definitley relate! What I think it is, is before you ignored your body but now your on a diet, and your becoming more aware of how your body looks. That's what happened to me too, I ignored my body, but then as I dieted I became more aware of how it looked so even though it was thinner, it looked bigger to me. I hope this helps and I hope you can start to see your body as it is and not as getting larger,lol.

Thank you so much, those are great suggestions. I don't think I have ever had a healthy relationship with food.Your right though I need to find a balance in my life, I just don't know how to do it anymore. I was thinking about it, and almost all of my life coping skills are destructive. I really liked your suggestion about writing good things, because I also find I only write when I'm sad. I also only seem to be able to see everything wrong with me, or everything bad that has happened to me, so even if something is good, in my head I make it bad, or I just wait for it to get bad. It's a very exhausting way to live, and sometimes I wonder if I'm beyond repair.I also totally relate to your a positive turned negative. I find that I worry to much about the welfare of others, and not enough about myself.I also liked the distraction technique. I think I'll try these, thanks alot. If you have any quesitons for me ask away, and I'll try to help.

Well as long as you use the same scale, you will at least be able to check in on your progress.If you care about the accuracy you could do it in the morning, before breakfest, and after going to the bathroom. Hope this helps. :)

Well I used to have some major binge eaitng issues, I would try and eat in secret and I would eat so much I felt sick. Then I got really sad so for the the last month or so, my appetitie, went away. Now my appetite is returning, but I'm starting to eat when I'm not hungrey again, and I don't like where this is leading. What are ways to keep me from going back to how I used to be? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry to hear about your mother, but sometimes a positive attitude can really help. I recommend the secret, someone in that movie beat her cancer in 3 months, with out raditaion. It's amazing how our body can heal ourselves.I wish you luck with that. With the emotional eating, I find it helps if you constantly throughout the day ask yourself how you are feeling.Thne ask your self if eating will really help to make you feel better. If all else fails, like someone else suggested,try and give yourself ten minutes between eating it,and if you want to still eat it try to eat a reasonable portion. I hope this helps!

Vicki is twenty times worse!! At first I despised Heba but Vicki is the gross one, even Bob doesn't like her he was saying she is a "game player", which really means a sneaky, manipulative bitch. I know Heba was mean to Phil but she actually had a reason to have issues with him. I was estatic when Brad went home. Biggest loser always seems like a battle of good vs. evil.

I totally relate. I am still working on it, but what helps me is when I feel like binging, I ask myself how I feel. The goal being, to constantly be aware of your emotions, when you are, this helps to make you feel like you don't even need to binge. I hope this helps.

I know what you mean. If I don't have a plan for what I think I am going to eat I feel very uncomfterable, and I can't stop thinking about it. I also always like to have time plans for wieght loss. I think you should try to keep it at most at a 1,000 calorie deficit. If you go overboard you may binge, or just go around feeling really hungry. Also during this time you are going to be gaining muscle, so you want to give yourself enough nutricents for that. You are doing so well losing 24 pounds rocks! Good luck staying on track.I hope you keep in touch too. :)
