I really think it was the combo of drinking and lorazepam.  I recently just stopped taking it to sleep but was told by my doctor and my ex who is in the pharma industry that it is very very very bad to drink when you take it.  I never drank on it because of how instant they were.

Feel better.

How often were you going to Bikram?  When I started I was going 4x a week and saw results in a month...my muscles looked more defined.

What kind of difference are you looking to see?

I recently had this realization as well.  And seeing myself in pics in a bikini last weekend confirmed that I am definitely getting to where I want to be.  It is a great feeling.

I used to eat non fat yogurt as my first meal but very recently started getting hungry soon after...I believe it is the sugar.  I find the most satiating thing for me now is eggs or oatmeal...for oatmeal I make the real stuff with no sugar.  These both keep me full for a while.

gglad you will listen to the doc. I had surgery and couldnt run for about 3 weeks and I was totaly flipping out. I should have watched my calories, and Ididnt ...but guess what- at the end, I ended up losing weight! Go figure. I think it was muscle/my body using energy to repair itself. AND when I started back runnning, I did not even lose my endurance. It took about 3-4 days and I felt like the same ole me.  I hope this little anecdote of mine keeps your spirits and hopes high for when you are done recuping!

Thanks much, that makes me feel better!

Foods how do you say no to your own birthday cake? Jun 04 2009

My bday is on Sunday.  I'm going to the beach and going to have ice cream, lasagna, wine and bday cake.  I will still be working out in the mornings while I'm there.

I'm looking at it as a necessary setback.  Cool

I don't think anyone should deprive themselves of some enjoyment in celebrations.  However, if maybe gaining say 1/2 a lb or so will upset you for vacation then you need to decide which is more worth it to you.

Count me in too!  I'm 32yr F 119lbs 5'3"...not sure what my bodyfat is but I don't care so much about that as I am "looking" leaner.

My biggest problem is getting healthy fats in while keeping calories low.

I tried it a few months ago.  Not to lose weigh but more to "cleanse" and test my will power.

I started at 120lbs and in three days I dropped 5lbs...lost too much too fast that's why I stopped.  I felt really weak and sick with headaches so couldn't exercise at all.

Those 5lbs came back on really fast after.  I have since lost the weight again through eating really healthy and regular exercise.

Fitness HR montiors vs. activity estimate May 21 2009
13:57 (UTC)

I just started spinning with a HRM and I'm getting much different results than most of you.  I'm 32/F/117lbs/5'3" and at and keeping my HR at an average of 88% it is saying I'm burning between 450-500cals.

I do have to say that using a HRM is the best thing I could have ever done.  You don't realize how quickly your rate will drop and with the HRM you know what you have to do to keep it up.  Also, how much harder I have to work!

Next up, using it in Bikram yoga!

I barely fit into an A cup anymore since I've lost a few pounds and my stomach sticks out further than by chest which makes me feel like I look heavier than I want to be sometimes.

Then there are days when I look in the mirror and say, "Damn, I'm hot!"

I've lived with a small chest my whole life and am 32 yrs old and just starting to accept it and that I'm beautiful....and always will be.
