Vicki... I would take it easy. I am a Physio, and I can tell you, that you have over done it by the sounds of things. I would suggest something that will work, but won't be plesant.... We call them transition baths. Hop into the bath tub, and have it warm, not super hot, and gradually add cold water, till its COLD and then sit for (and really try) for 10 mins. I have some runners that even add ice. Once your done bring you body back to room temp, but not by adding heat. Get dressed, move around, that sort of thing. |

| Fitness | After a long break, what can weight training do for you? | Oct 28 2008 14:49 (UTC) |

I agree w Ankow, with a great deit the weight will decrease, as well as some exercise, but that can be taking the stairs instead of the elevator. When your weight training, if done properly, the chemical of HGH (human growth horome) is realeased and it promotes weight loss and muscle mass. However if there isnt a good balance of regular exercise it can cause you to gain muscle and increase the weight you see on the scale. And we all know that muscle weighs more than fat. |

So you can log your weight -- which allows you to do the following:
- Plot your weight curve
- Analyze the trend of your weight (see under Recent in the figure above)
- Determine the projected target date (see under Overall in the figure above)
