I feel the exact same way, Christine. Every single post I've made, I've received mostly all negative feedback. It's called 'trolling'. It's where people purposely instigate you and push your buttons, so you'll post back, saying something that will get your post banned. People think it's fun to do, for some reason. All you have to do is ignore them, because if you let them get to you, then you're letting them win. They want you to get mad, it's the point. *p.s. some trolls that I've had on my posts, were alibsam and pgeorgian, so feel free to ignore anything they have to say*

As a newby here, I was just nicely looking around and trying to get familiar with what's going on in the community of this site but I didn't get a very good impression. Maybe it's the excessive dieting that makes some people extremely crabby? There are certainly a lot of people here in bad moods and it just ruins my day to read replies to my posts. So I refuse to waste my time posting on these boards for the sharks anymore but will continue to use the wonderful calorie charts, etc.  I'll leave the useless bickering to those irritable loners who have nothing better to do with their time than sit in front of a computer to trash people. I have a REAL life. Just went on a Caribbean cruise and watched the space shuttle Endeavor launch in person. I don't depend on a cyber-life for my kicks and feel sorry for those crabby people who do. Don't bother trashing me because I will not read it. That's it. Last post. So get off the computer and get a life!

I think we should really just stick to the main reason we are on this site, and that is weight control which is the comment I made yesterday when a group started talking religion. Sure, one will get tired of talking about dieting but then why not simply get OFF the computer and live life instead of sitting in front of a screen? Besides, it is a sendentary activity which we all know is not what we should be doing if we are serious about this dieting thing. I like to keep track of what I did all day and make a list before going to bed. I count my online time as mostly wasted and it is scary how much it can add up to in a month. I am signing off now and getting on with life. See ya later....

As far as I know, the fajitas are about the lowest calories, if you skip the cheese and sauer cream. Just fill up your shells with a little meat filling and a ton of lettuce, tomato and taco sauce and I bet you could eat 2 or 3 without doing too much damage. Make up for it tomorrow. Watch out for the taco salad in the crunchy bowl. It's a calorie bomb. You can be sure from the start that with any meal they will serve you way too much, so a good trick would be to get a take out box and put some away before it gets tempting. Your friends will be amazed at your determination.

mmm...good cookie. I think I'll have a couple more. By the way, I read once that a certain bone that was supposedly carbon dated as being a million years old or so was later found to be a modern bone from a pig that died something like 20 years ago. I think many things that scientists see as facts, will be someday be exposed. It is actually all kind of fun to watch it happen.

Why couldn't men have been on earth at the same time as dinosaurs? Sorry but I don't understand the line of thinking. I must have missed something.

Of course it HAD to be written by men. What do you expect, a giant HAND to reach down from the clouds with a feather pen?

I actually participated in a Bible study years ago and we studied that Bible diet. I don't remember a lot of it now except the part written about David, (was it David?) being fairer and better looking than all the others because of his diet. It left me with the lasting impression that this diet would create a more radiant complexion as well as a leaner body. Unfortunately I never actually tried it.

I don't remember exactly but didn't they say that Elvis had like 45 pounds of something in his system when he died? Whenever I gain weight for no logical reason, I have to think of Elvis.

Certainly something I'd never put much thought into before but I'm sure there must be a logical reason for it. One thing I am sure of, is that every word that is in the current Bible is meant to be there. You just have to have faith here. But by the way, why are we discussing this anyway? I am on this site for diet help and that alone. If I wanted to discuss other issues I wouldn't be here. Would be nicer in my opinion if we stick to what brought us here in the first place. Or are we getting all philosophical here to distract ourselves from what we really want to do--reach into the cookie jar? :-)
