I'm in February.  My goal for February is to stay on track for the whole month.  I was doing pretty well for the first 3 weeks of January, then I sort of fell of the wagon.  Goal part 2 is to do at least 14 hours of exercise.

 

My February start weight is 247.8.

I had a pretty good day--new purse and shoes for the festival of job interviews that should be starting... sometime... soon... I hope?

 

And on a related note [and for another point], I'm grateful for DSW--prices are pretty decent, and I can find shoes in my size relatively easily.  Women's size 11 shoes (that don't look like your grandmother either weards them now or back when she was busy riveting during the war) aren't exactly a dime a dozen, ya know?

Well, I think my weekend is going to end up being a bit of a wash--weight loss-wise at least.  I was good yesterday... or at least not bad.  Then today, we had a chili cook-off for 2 of my aunts' birthdays.  Though there wasn't an official vote, i think my vegetarian chili won---there was the least left over of mine, by far and i got many compliments/requests for the recipe!  Of course, one can't have chili with out mass amounts of cornbread, nor a birthday party without a couple different kinds of cake, right?  oh you can?  oh.. well, next time, right?  anyways, it was fun.  I'll just have to buckle down this week, especially since I have yet to complete my own challenge suggestion of eating the 5 fruit/veggies a day...

i have a challenge idea!  We're supposed to get 5 fruits and vegetables a day right?  I don't know about you, but even as a vegetarian, I don't get that everyday.  How about a point per day that you do?

Why have I joined?  Well, I was looking through old picture cds [doing anything/everything I can think of to avoid the job hunt] today and found a real winner of a 'before' picture of me.  (it's in my gallery--have a look)  I really want to make my current 'after' photo just as dramatic of a 'before' picture in about a year.  That's why I've joined--anything/everything to keep me motivated/interested in losing more weight.

This sounds like fun!  My weight today is 245.6 [my starting weight for the beginning of January was 251, don't know which you want].

While of course I get that angel food cake is better than your standard cake, i thought it was funny that at least 2 of the "healthy resolutions week" shows on food network had them eating big fat slices of the dessert.

 

if you're looking for a good vegan dessert--try to find tofutti cuties!  they're little "ice cream" sandwiches.  Mint chocolate chip is my favie flavor--about 130 calories...
