Well today is supposed to be my weigh-in day, but I'm sitting for my boyfriend's little sister this week because their mom is on her honeymoon, and they don't have a scale at their house. Oh well... I'm kinda happy about that because I FOR SURE gained weight this week. I've been eating terrrribly!!! I don't even want to see my weight. Actually, I don't want to see my weight until a few days after my birthday because there will definitely be cake! Haha. Anyway, on a random note, I'm seeing My Sister's Keeper with my boyfriend's sister today and I'm SO excited!! Have any of you seen it yet?

I'm back! Sorry I haven't been around... my boyfriend's mom's wedding was this weekend so I was at Yosemite for that for the past few days. That also means I wasn't around for my weigh-in on Friday. In fact, I don't think I've weighed myself since Thursday. There's no doubt I gained weight over the weekend with all of the wedding food!! So maybe I'll go post my weight from Thursday... maybe just wait till this coming Friday. Who knows?! Haha, but this weekend was absolutely AMAZING!!!!! I hope everyone is well and I'm looking forward to getting back on track with CC after my off-diet weekend!

Oh wow, if many more people join I'm going to start getting confused! But I am SO happy that people are joining... this is a great group so far!

msaidafall - That is AWESOME about the belt! Sometimes the smallest victories make me the happiest :) Good luck with the weigh-in. I haven't checked your profile yet, but it should automatically add the forum to your own profile. Just go way down to the bottom like you do with mine and you should see it. Also, you can go to Community - My Posts, and your last post in this group should be there. Hope that helps!

kaydawson69 - Wow! 6 lbs in 4 weeks is so great! I agree, this site really is great. And this group too! It's amazing how small changes can influence your weight so much.

kwoodwarduga - Hi! You're not late at all... welcome any time! Congrats on the engagement!! You can use exercise as a way to de-stress maybe? And at the same time lose weight! Good luck!

Tomatotomata - I will definitely let you know how it all goes if I decide to try the cycling thing. The only problem is that I seem to cycle without even thinking about it most days because I'm not very consistent! :)

Gela - Just want to say HI! Haha. And thanks for making the group! It's going great!

Love this group. It gives me something to look forward to every time I log on to CC because I want to see the new posts!

I'm no expert by any means, and it also depends how long the tennis class is, but I would definitely say that the aerobics class would burn more calories. I play tennis myself, and from what I know about beginner classes they are more about learning how to play than a workout... there will be some movement of course, but most likely not nearly enough to really get a good workout, or at least not as good of a workout as an aerobics class. An hour and 15 minute long aerobics class is a considerably long class and will most definitely get you in shape!! Hope that helps!

Gela - YES! I think that putting our total weight loss is a great idea! I think it would be good for some extra motivation.

msaidafall - Hi!! I'm glad you joined. It sounds like a simple thing, just posting weights, but it's really been helping me a lot.

tomatotomata - That's an interesting idea. I might have to try that. I makes complete sense because what really matters anyway is that at the end of the week you have a certain amount of calories/average, not that every day is a certain amount. If that makes sense. Haha. 

See, this is why I love this non-challenge so much... I have been a little discouraged the last couple days because I haven't been eating that great so my weight hasn't been changing, probably going up a bit actually, but then I look at all your posts and I realize that I lost a pound from Tuesday to Friday, so I don't feel bad about the last couple days anymore! I mean, yes, I knew that I lost a pound, but I didn't really think about it that way until it was brought up here. If that makes sense? I'm having a hard time saying what I want to say today! Anyway, it helped! So thanks you guys, and I look forward to seeing all of our progress!

Gela - Only .8 pounds. You could have lost that a couple hours later and not known it! No biggie. I'm sure you'll be fine this week. It's amazing how a couple bad days can be such killers sometimes though.

Four people so far... not bad! :)

I agree with tomatotomata. 4 pounds in about what, 3 weeks, is great! Over a pound a week!

Hey Gela! I'd love to do the non-challenge! I think I'll update on Fridays, but that might change. By the way, I think that just editing our own posts is a GREAT idea because the challenges can get so confusing with a BILLION posts every day!

I also like that we can all have different weights. Sometimes if I try to do a challenge with people my own weight I feel like I have to keep up with them and feel discouraged when I haven't lost as much as them.

So anyway, I'm all in!! Good luck Gela and tomatotomata, and I look forward to talking to both of you!

Thohan - eating around 1400 has been working for me. If I eat much less than that I start craving things or feel hungry... more than that and I just feel guilty :/

GREAT idea planning what you will eat the day before. That has been helping me a lot. If I don't plan then I see myself eating more.

 

Thohan and ccook2001 - I just got those skinny cow things yesterday! I'm really excited about them haha. Yeah, 150 calories is definitely worth it... at least to me. I find that if I don't have some ice cream or something every once in a while, I get sick of eating healthy and end up having a day where I eat really bad!

 

Today's a good day for me so far. Well, I couldn't have been too bad since I've only been up for an hour, but hey, a good start is a good start, right?? Everyone feel free to friend me! I'd love to talk :) I hope you all have a great weekend!

I would love to be a part of this! I go on CC every day so I will for sure update and be able to talk to everyone.

My name is Nicole (nice to meet you Carrie!). I'm going to be a senior in the fall and I've had the problem of gaining weight since I got to college too, but it's stuck around during the summer and just kept on adding up. A couple weeks ago I got to my highest weight ever and decided that I really need to get on top of it. I had a few times over the past couple years where I kinda tried to lose weight, but never went all-out or was completely dedicated. I am now. I've been 100% dedicated to CC and have lost 5.5 pounds so far, but have been hovering around this weight for a few days. Not too upset about it because I know I'm still doing good with calories and exercising.

So I think it would be a good idea to post stats too so we can get an idea of where we're all at:

20 years old

5'5"

Starting weight: 180

Current weight: 174.5

Goal weight: 140 or lower

I think this was a great idea and I hope we are able to find a few more people! Carrie, and anyone else who joins this little group, feel free to message me about anything. I would love to talk/help/motivate in any way possible. I think that having friends on CC is a great way to help us all get through this journey.
