Ok, my hubby is a contractor so I asked him. He said since the ceiling in the basement is damaged anyway, take it down so you can see what the damage is. The leaks may be able to be fixed from the basment, dry it out and fix ceiling. Once you get the ceiling down have a few plumbers come in and give it a look, most estimates are free. He said this is the best place to start. |

WOW!! I am getting 29,000 from a 5 year old opps. Unfortunatly I have some bills to pay off. With the 10, 000 that is left I am defenitly investing in the stock market. Like burninlove said its on sale right now. Just make sure to do your homework. |

Amy- Sorry about all your trouble. I don't know about your state or ins coverage. When my hubby got in a bad accident 5 years ago he lost alot of work time, had surgery and other stuff. The others persons ins wouldn't pay anything so our ins went after them for the medical, but for lost work time we had to take them to court. It has been five years and we are just getting to the final stages of settlement. My advise is go talk to a accident lawyer ASAP. Consults are usually free. Don't go to one off t.v. Check with friends, family and co-workers for any good referrals. Also keep in touch with your ins company. We mad tons of follow up calls just so it wouldn't fall through the cracks. Good Luck |

| The Lounge | What to do when you can't buy gifts for EVERYONE!! | Dec 12 2008 20:26 (UTC) |

One year I had little money for Christmas so I made things for friends. Everyone got something different that fit their needs or personality. I gave my best friend a basket with jars of snacks. Fill the jars with the dry ingredients for cookies, brownies and attach the recipt to the jar. It has been ten years and she still says it was the best gift she ever got (she does not cook). She always buys me really nice gifts, but I can't afford to return the favor. She just hints at stuff I have made around my house that she loves that I made and I make her something. |

That is great!! I usually get $300, but in the building industry it will probalby be nothing this year. We are having a Christmas party. Just workers and spouses at the office with drinks and snacks. Oh well maybe next year. |

One year our company of 10 went to an indoor cart race track. No drinking before the raceing, but tons after. It was great we got to test our racing skills and it gave us someting to talk about after. There were munchies and drinks. The place also had pool tables and other games. We could also see other races after ours. It was really fun. |

I had my doubts too. First I thought wouldn't oil make it worse?? I fiqured I had nothing to lose so I gave it a shot. I have learned from her over the years that the old people had some really good remidies for common stuff, and they didn't cost a lot of money. I also use a plan oil of olay cleanser with exfoliant (sp?) every morning in the shower. Here is a good site for more info on the oil cleanse method. |

I am 37 and have been dealing with the exact same thing from 16. For the last year I have had a perfectly clear face, with only occasional breakout around that time of the month. All the face srubbs and perscription meds never worked, not even proactive. A new friend told me about oil cleansing, her granny swore by it, and it worked!!!! Here is the routine. Every night before I go to bed I take a mixture I made of olive oil and caster oil (1 to 1). I keep it in a condiment squeeze bottle. Put some in your palm, about the size of a quarter, rub your hans together and then apply to your face, get eye makeup off great. Run a wash cloth under hot water, wring out and lay over your face till it cools. Reapeat the hot wash cloth 2 to 3 times, gently wipe remaining oil off, dry and your done. No need for mositurizers that is what the olive oil is for. Within a few days my face was all but clear. I followed this routine for a few months, but now I only use the oil cleanse once a week, or if I feel something nasty happening. Not only is my skin clear, but I no longer have red patches and flaky skin. I can now just use a little powder and blush, no more foundation. Give it a try. |

I usually put mine up the day after Thanksgiving, but I would not blame you for putting yours up now. New trees are so exciting!! Go ahead and put it up but don't decorate it, that way it's not a Christmas tree yet. |
