You look fine. i think you need to be happy with your accomplishments and stop dwelling on the down sides. You've lost 20 lbs and if someone loses 20 lbs it is going to show. i really think you look fine and if i saw you on the beach in a bikini looking like that i would deffinatly not think anything. Serisouly, you are doing great!! You arent so skinny where it would hurt you to loose 5-10 more lbs but your at a fine weight now as well. Keep up the good work.! *Jade P.S. I have my birth mark in nearly the same spot as you and same size. Mine is a little darker but neat hey? |

i agree with Kaffwynn. im 20 and i been with my guy for like 3 years and he said the same thing!!! hes like "its not like buying a shirt. You cant return it." i was like "Well what if we dont want to?" he said it in a way i understand and it might help you lol. He was like...if you were MAYBE going to an event where you needed a nice dress and you found one you really liked that was really expensive but had to return policy, would you buy it? i was like...well i would wait to see if i am going to the event first and look around at other dresses. hes like "Yes!!! and you cant return kids, like you cant return that dress. And you would wait for that event to come closer to find out if your going or not, just like we should wait to make that decision" basically it made sense to me cause i like shopping. Put it in a way i understand, and it makes sense. you cant return a kid! your stuck with them. He didnt say we wouldnt have the talk, we are engaged too and waiting till we both complete school, so its not like he is saying we wont at all but we dont have to make that decision now. He is too willing to discuss things infront of me but no one else. His friend brought it up once and he attempted to act all manly about it but when we are alone he will be like "OoOo Jennie i like these flowers!" but when hes with his family or with the guys, nope nope! flowers arent manly. I think its just how guys are. I wouldnt give up on him he seems like he has a good head on his shoulders. hes still young and trying to figure out what he even wants out of life. hopefully my dress thing helped you put it into the way guys see it lol. Although a kid is more valuable than a dress, you get it.

i appriate it...thanks. i am being healthy, and i am getting what im supposed to...im just obsessing over it. I have one friend i go to the gym with, as she is super supportive. however we are on christmas break and she went back home for break. All my other friends are not likin' it. They are anything but supportive. So i go to the gym by myself. i usually find myself covering up the calorie burned thing so i cant look....or getting discouraged when the person next to me ran 10 minutes less but burned 100 calories more. Where is that even fair!? i just dont want this taking over my life and affecting my relationships. Im trying to loose as much weight as i can this month since i have a month off school, so i dont have to worry so much about it when i get back to school.

highly highly doubt it. I'm in nursing school- even thought im only 20 and have years and years left, i plan on going for NP in womens health. and i've taken many courses already towards this. When you areon birth contorl, you are getting hormones that trick your body into thinking your pregnant when your not. Your body thinks your pregnant so it does not ovulate. If you were to ovulate while you were pregnant and had sex, you could get "double pregnant"- which we know cant happen. Also, the pill acts to thicken your mucous in the uterus making it very hard for sperm to "swim" in. So even if you did ovulate for some reason, sperm would have a very difficult time getting to the egg. it is very common to have that discharge as the pill acts to thicken the mucous. Its also very common to have some spotting fromt he hormonal levels. Its also common to actually miss a period. The week you stop taking the pill and you have a "period"-its technically a withdrawl bleeding rather than a normal period. It is a withdrawl bleeding of the hormones your body is being deprived of. if you were to get pregnant on the pill you shouldnt bleed during this time because your body is producing natural hormones from the pregnancy so their is no withdrawl bleeding. However it is common to actually not bleed at all and still not be pregnant. That is why you can miss your period purposly by skipping the placebo week and heading right away into the next pack because again, you arent withdrawing the hormones from your body. I highly doubt you are, if you have taken them AS DIRECTED! same time everyday. being off by like an hour or two shouldnt make a differece, if it does hardly at all. it is possible to get pregnant while on the pill...but very very unlikely. its bout 97%-99.9% effective....97% being if you missed a pill or were really late. If it makes you feel better you can take a test- just know that sometimes those home test can show you a positive when its a negative due to the pill, not pregnancy. If your comfortable enough taking the pills for another month wait till next month to see if you get it. however, this your choice.
FYI- im on birth control, i am sexually active with my fiance and i have had "scares" as well, despite me knowing the fact that is common to miss a period and despite me knowing that its about 99.9% effective. If i became pregnant for everytime i spotted or missed a period, i would be poppin out kids like popcorn! |

I think CC needs to make cuts on people who dont need to loose weight. it is discouraging, YES i am in the HEALTHY BMI level but im the high end of normal. I'm trying to loose a few "vanity pounds"- i started at 138, im down to 126 and i want tobe 115. So its discouraing when i read someone who is 5'5 110 lbs and wants to be 95 lbs. Its like well if they are calling themselves fat and discusting....what about me?!? So when iread that it makes ME feel fat and disgusting!!! its so discouraging. I think there needs to be a requirement met in order to be on CC. because they are just discouraging to all of us. I dont mean to sound like im fat and disgusting because im not fat- i'm happy with the way things are turning out. But it just makes it worse reading that, i agree. |

Ha, first is a good one.... but yeah i know how you feel. Like with xmas around the corner, and my choco-holic self i'm finding it very difficult. Bless my roommmate, i get home from work at 11:30 pm and she knew i had a very busy day (i work as a CNA at a hospital) and i get home and she had made a pizza for me. At 11:30 pm. She was like JEN! i calcuclated it out and everything for you, there is 160 calories in this slice as she hands me a huge slice! she showed me her calcualtions and she put low fat cheese on it and everything haha. Bless her!!!! Yeah usually when someone hands me sweets i will tell them i will have it in a little while. Usually they forget lol. |

Yes yes!!! Breakfast: Honey nut cheerios with skim milk. I tend to eat a later breakfast, like 9 or 10 because im not hungry right away when i get up. I find if i eat a later breakfast i will eat a later lunch and a later dinner and so on. then i go to gym for an hour...i always go during this time, mainly because of my scheduale. you can go anytime actually. Lunch: A sandwhich with some BAKED chips and a diet soda. I dont put mayo on my sandwhiches, i use that 0 calorie spray butter. I dont like mayo :-p Dinner: I'll heat up one of those "smart ones" or throw something on the formen grill....like a turkey burger. I'll put fat free kraft singles cheese slice on it with the low calorie bread (40 cals per slice) i'll make some kind of veggie with this. Latley its been green beans since its all i have. Snack: i like those weight watchers muffins or those weight watchers cookies haha. They are actually really good. Or i'll have some fruit...or one of those "skinny cow" fudge bars, its like 80 calories in one fudge bar or something....or fat free pudding. Snack is my favorite time of day haha as youc an tell. I only allow myself one of those so i dont eat ALL those snacks in one day :-p i generally end up being right on at 1,200. I've gone below a few times but i'm a college student with a VERY busy scheduale and i sometimes forget. Just be sure your getting enough for your body. everyone is different. I probably wasnt too much help, im a poor college student so my choices are limited. But i try and manage with what i have. |

He also told me that when i do get them...sit down and spell out the alphabet with my foot. LIke use your ankle joint to move your foot to spell out alphabet big and small so it would be lik e A-a- B-b -C-c -D-d- E-e and so on....i only ever used it twice and it seems to relieve the pain quite a bit for me. |

I have shin splints too...really bad! OUCH.i know the pain. I went to see a sports medicine doctor and he made me custom made arch supports. He took like a plaster of my feet and sent them to some company that sent me custom made arch supports. i'm in nursing school and i work as a CNA in the hospital so im on my feet ALL the time. So i NEVER EVER leave the house with out them. I have not gotten shin splints since i got my arch supports. (the custom ones are the only ones that helped me). They just slide in your shoe and away you go! :-) My doctor also had me run on a treadmil to look at the way i run and he had to "reteach" me to run...its more of a heal to toe run like, heal toe heal toe, hard to explain when you type it out...but i was goig SMACK SMACK SMACK like falling flat on my feet. He explained to me since i have fallen arch (NO arch in my foot what so ever) that the "smacking" motion puts pressure on the nerve and on bones that normally isnt supposed to take that much pressure. as a result you feel it in your shin from the nerve. Shin splints can be caused by numerous things....but if you have fallen arch i'd suggest making an appointment with a sports medicine doctor or a podiatrist (foot doctor) to get you a set of arch supports. I can run for miles and miles without any issues to my shins. In the mean time, do some work on the eliptical. I actually trained in the eliptical before i got my arch supports and i got a GREAT workout on it...before i could run about a mile and that was it. After training on the eliptical i was able to run about 3 miles. So I know it gives me a really good work out. I actually still do the eliptical more than the treadmil. My doctor also suggested trying to get into deep water aerobics class. Since im only 20 hes like i know your dont gonna want to do shallow water with the older ladies. But he told me you actualyl burn almost twice as mucha s running because they have you do runniing like motions in the water, and you also burn calories you dont realize you are burning because your holding yourself up out of the water.

im 5'3 and my goal weight is 110-115 lbs..around there, i'll be happy. i started at 138 lbs...that was my absoulte heaviest. I'm now down to 126 lbs. I was a size 8 jeans and i'm now a 6. a little dissapointing in my end because i'd like to be a 2...but hey i feel like im doing great. I exercised 5 days a week for about 45 minutes per work out (30 minutes of cardio then 15-30 minutes of the lifting machiens at the gym) I ate about 1200 calories per day. Never ate out, with the exception of resturants that had a healthy menu (i.e. subway).Gave myself realistic goals...like if i loose X amount of weight in X amount if time i get to do this..... (like go out to your favorite resturant and eat whatever). im doing a diet with my mom and we both said at our HALF WAY point we get to go out favorite resutranct and order whatever. Downside: i had to losoe more than she did, so its taking me longer to get to my half way (2 lbs to go!) but she has to wait till i get there. So like if you allow yourself things that you like you wont "fall out" on the diet. It keeps you going and gives you something to look forward too. I wanted to fall out SOOO bad my first couple weeks but once i started getting into the 120 categorie, words cant even describe how i felt. When i saw i was 129 i was like FREAKING out because i was finally int he 120's....that was ALL i wanted. I set my goal to be at ANY number in the 120's by december first, and iw as 129 the last few days of November. So its been a couple weeks and im now 126. So i'm attempting to make it my goal again to be the teens by january....we'll see how it goes ;-) But yeah, i want to get to 115 lbs and we'll see where it goes from there. Possibly 110 depending how i feel i look when im at 115 lbs. I havent been there since middle school so i dont know how 115 lbs will look on me.

Also i wanted to add: is it normal to feel like you failed yourself everytime you eat?!? Like i could eat an apple and i will be like "oh crap, i shouldnt have done that." like i DO EAT!!! dont get me wrong. i'm eating VERY VERY healthy and eating exactly what im supposed to, but i like hate myself everytime i do eat. i am aware that i need to eat, so i'm not and i will not go anorexic and stop eating. |

Awiita, yet another thing we have in common.! I'm in same situation there haha. i been with my man for 3 years as well :-p i attempt to make healthy things and he is fairly receptive to what ever. But i know how you feel....I get where you're coming from. we arent catering to our men, and i do believe women shouldnt. But i totally get you..if my man were to attempt cooking we'd probably have a fire. I'm happy to do it for him when i have time. If i have alot of school work or just donthave the time, he will do it. (makes something simple like spaghetti and hes so proud of himself!). So ya, you can still make things you used to just use low-fat stuff like if he wants a pizza, use that whole grain crust with low fat cheese and if he wants pepproini, just put it on half the pizza and put none on your half. My boyfriend really wanted tacos one night cause we had everything so i made it with ground turkey instead and im not a huge meat eater so i only used a little meat and with whole grain tortillas. Just adjust to fit both your needs. |

Thanks!!! to all of you. I'm deffinatly glad to hear that. I too have apersonal trainer...well sorta, he is a personal trainer but he is also a good friend of mine and just goes to the gym with me and i get it for free :-) He's told me 110 is the lowest i should be at for my hieght, so 115 isnt unreasonable. it just bugs me when people are like WHAT? your going to weight nothing! im like "No, im going to weigh 115" adurrr and yes awitta, you have helped!! It's deffinatly great to hear someone is doing the same exact thing i'm doing!! i messaged you about it ;-) Thanks!!!! Jen |

Thanks for that^^ Yeah i agree, i know alot of people dont find their true love in high school. When my boyfriend mentioned moving back home after he graduates so we can be together shes like "What do you think you two are really going to be together?" he was the first guy i ever dated!! so she brings me down on that alot. My other friend who is friends with her just tells me to ignore it because its pure jealousy cause her boyfriend will never be like that. Yeah, she grew up in a home where her mom was pressuring her to be thin alot!! like its all she talked about. she would bribe her with new clothes if she were to loose weight. She still does it. Her dad is a big time alcoholic and been trying rehab many times. Her sisters both got pregnant in high school and are living off well-fare. Both her sisters are absolutley horrible to their kids! i was at her sisters house and her daughter was playing on the floor and she was eating cookies and her daughter walked up and grabbed a cookie (1 oreo) and she took it from her hand and trhew the rest of t he cookies and was like "GET THE **** AWAY! GOD YOUR SO **** ANNOYING. YOU DONT NEED ANY DAMN COOKIES"- Gives you an idea how her family is run. I basically kind of agree with what your saying in the sense that i'm sick of dealing with it. Me and my other friend are her ONLY two friends she can turn to. and of course, i'm the roommate so i get the most of it. I'm sick of being the only one their for her and i'm ready to walk out. I know a good friend wouldnt but its starting to affect me. and i need to think what is best for me at this point in my life. I have told her if she is still with him i will be moving out in April, when our lease ends. Its so ungodly horrible how he talks to her and i honestly do agree with what you said, he wants to see her fail. He has been a declared major for 4 years but has taken no classes to works towards that major. And Jackie is needing to repeat all of her general education classes when she should be almost done by now. He holds her back alot and i think he doesnt want to see her succeed because he cant. Another thing: All their relationship is based on is sex. the only time they arent arguing for fighting is during sex, which is ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the time!

Um, thanksgiving was may day to kinda "give up" on my diet. iw asnt even going to try. one day wasnt going to kill me. i ended up porking the next 2 days!!! ugh. i didnt gain anything though, actually lost 1 surprisingly? ha. But yeah i still felt like crap. |

Um...bed sheets? thats a BAD idea. No guy gives a rats butt about his sheets. Its obvious he doesnt care from his ripped up sheets. i had to beg my boyfriend to get new sheets. i couldnt stand it when i went there. I also hate it when he disses my sheets when he stays at my place. he doesnt make the bed, ever! he says "Im just going to get back in it later" Um...not the point! Although he did make it once for me and it made my day. Anyway, for my boyfriend i got a few things. my favorite is the custom made soap bar with a picture of us that says "Think of me when you are feeling dirty" |

So some of you might laugh at this, dont worry...i laugh at it now:
When i was 18 i got an underage drinking ticket! I got a HUUUUGE fine! i didnt have the money so i went to donate plasma to pay for it and i didnt weigh enough so that didnt go over well. So i filled out this app. thing to donate my eggs to pay for my drinking ticket so i didnt have to tell my parents HAHA. I was 18 at the time, so give me a break! I did get turned down because i was un-wed and stated i do want children at some point but i dont have them yet. So yeah and i think you have to be 21. So even now i'm not old enough (im 20). But its alot of money!!! you ovulate like crazy and you cant have sex AT ALL while they give you the shot cause you could end up with like quadruplets or something. |

Um, no offense but she is only 4 months old. I dont think she is going to be crushed if you dont get her anything. Like if it were me i wouldnt get them anything till they were like 2 yrs old so i could save money and spend it on people who know whats going on.

Everyone has already stated the joys....but being the person i am, i'm going to tell you what i know from a medical aspect! Uh, i'm not a mom nor will i be any time soon thankgod!!! but im doing my maternal clinicals in nursing school and basically what freaks me out the most is your boobs like get ruined!!! the mom i'm following was a pretty perky 36B, now they are like not perky!! Im a 34C and my breasts are like the only thing i like on me so if i lost that i'd be crushed!!! So idk how you feel about it. some women its not a big deal. Also...your vagina gets ripped open to ALMOST the anus. No joke!!! I saw it. (of course i had to...i was in my clinicals watching this birth) Oh man, she chose no epidural so it left me pretty much scared. your baby will probably look purple!! I think they are just the ugliest little dudes when they first come out. So dont be alarmed if its purplish. They eventually get cute like 6 months later haha!! Your ankles swell up!!! hers were so swollen when she came in. Your at risk for diabetes if your baby is like over 11 lbs!!! so dont have an 11 lb baby. get your blood type checked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! seriously. If your anything negative and your baby is positive (wont know till baby is born) you could have some serious complications to yourself and eventually the baby. I'm sure your doctor is aware of this information. Majority of people are positive. |

i appriciate the concern. I would never do something to harm myself. I feel i am doing fine!! i eat great. I just eat when im hungry and stop when im not hungry. If i want a snack i'll grab an apple or something. I went to subway and had a turkey sub with baked chips and a diet soda. That is not the diet of an anorexic. For breakfast i had my usual- a bowl of honey nut cheerios with skim milk. I had an apple for a snack when i got hungry. havent had dinner yet. Diet book i bought suggested ACTIVE women eat between 1,200-1,800 calories per day to loose weight. yes im doing 1,200 calories but its in my target calorie goal still. As long as im there i think its fine right?!? i appreciate the concern for it. I wouldnt do anything to harm myself or make this any harder because it is already hard to have to turn down going to resturants i once loved...thanksgiving was very difficult, christmas is going to be even harder with all the christmas cookies i like to eat like santa clause!! So no, i wouldnt purposly put myself into starvation mode. |

i think 1,800 calories is fine!! you is not a tall guy, on tich the heavy side yes...but you are a large frame so it sounds bigger than it really is. 190 is a great weight to be at for you!! as long as you are eating, 1,800 calories is fine. it is a very strict diet for your size but it is doable!!! Heck, im 20 yr old female and im a very small frame, i was at 138 lbs im now down to 129 (got 14 lbs to go) and i've been eating 1,200 calories a day and if i can do it, you can do it!!!

His friends have girlfriends who are still super in shape....i used to be!!! I gained 20 lbs now i want to loose it by January...i hate being compared to them. Well my boyfriend doesnt compare me, but i do.! doesnt sound like a huge deal to anyone but when you see these girls (5'6 115 lbs at most...and me 5'4 132 lbs) i kinda stand out. |

i know all that stuff already. and i appretiate the feedback. i have done a what is claled "healthy diet" before and lost 10 lbs. i did loose 3 lbs the first week and after that it bounced around from 1-2....this is my first week.! i didnt like the results of it last time...it took me almost 3 months to loose just 10 lbs!! there were times i lost nothing. I worked out 4 days a week for an hour, i cut back on junk food and just ate healthy foods...10 lbs in 3 months is a little discouraging when your trying to get to 115 by end of jan. |
