The problem is that I do eat. A lot. And I feel bad afterwards. There's a part of me that knows those things won't make me fat, but there's a nother part that says I can't eat those things. But I do eat them anyway. This is so frustrating! I see my belly and it makes me so disgusted! Even though I have like 5 pounds of fat left, barely visible, I obssess over it >_<

Also, I am hoping my better eating habits will rub off on them (they both have HORRIBLE diets) so they can have better overall health.

And finally, I had knee surgery about 2 weeks ago and am out for a while ( and have been nerly inactive for 3 months). I was eating those 2500 calories for a month and realized I had put on a little weight so I went down like 300-500 and then I was starving. I'm nearly sedentary so I don't know how many calories I should be consuming while injured. Any advice?

If you're inactive you could try from 1700-2000 calories and see what works for you.=]

And my parents are hopeless...they call most of my my food "grass" (actually, unless it's roast pork & potatoes or something like that - it's not "food" to them), and when they DO buy it they buy so much there's no way I can eat all of it before it goes bad...so the next time I ask for something I get the: " We bought it last time but you didn't eat it"

 

(I distinctly remember my mum trying my broccoli once and spitting it out immediately... the only vegetables they eat are tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce...and that's it - and of course, they pour oil all over them)

Try freezing the extras.  Broccolie and most veggies freeze very nicely and cook up just fine.  You won't want to eat it raw after freezing it as the texture changes from the freezing and defrosting, but even spinach freezes well when you cook it afterwards or use it in a smoothie or a dip.

That's what I do. =D

I've got to rant again.Sigh.

I hate my **** fat stomach. No matter what I do it just.won't.go.****.away.

I tried switching calories, but no.

I exercise 6 days a week and eat as healthily as possible and still nothing.

I started my weight loss 9 months ago and lost 20lbs but no, even being at 108 lbs my stomach fat just won't go away!

I even tried sleeping for 8 hours[i can't sleep more than that] but nothing.

And it really isn't helping that people get belly shirts and walk right past me with their perfect stomachs, **** them!

Why can't I have one?! I work very hard and still nothing. It's **** depressing.

Sorry for the cursing.

Bloody Damn Stomach.

You know I do the same thing missmontana, it's depressing actually, but atleast I got over the fear and just bought some bathingsuits and tried them on at home, I'm just going to trust that I look as good as I did at my home mirror =]

You should go to a nutritionist to see if it helps. or maybe you just gained the weight in christmas, don't worry about your weight so much. I used to do the same and almost got an ED if it wasn't for my mom stopping me.

This ould be because you're eating too little, underestimating calories, what you are eating or when you weighed yourself, Did you weigh yourself after eating?

Noxie, you should try shopping for food with your parents, and YOU pick out the food you need. And tell your friends bananas have a lot of nutrients and are okay eaten in moderation, nuts have healthy fats that are needed for the body to burn fat, and red meat has protein, but eat it in moderation, white meat is healther and cleaner.

It's no problem lalabanana =D, I think it works better having two like these.And yes, unsupportive parents are frustrating!!! I mean, when I won't have  a slice of pizza, people judge me, and yeah that makes me frustrated but it's my eating habits and I do what I want with them[as long as it's healthy and approved by my mom XD]!!

I hate it when people see you've lost weight and they immediatley think you're anorexic or bulimic. A guy in my school bothered me for like 3 or 4 months after I came back from summer break looking skinnier, he said I puked after I ate. I felt really mad afterwards because i hadn't done it. I prefer to eat healthily ad exercise losing weight slower. No offense to the people who are or where bulimic or anorexic though.

Remember to take small snacks with you! And try to eat every 2-4 hours, more than that an your metabolism slows.

What's keeping me from losing those last 5 pounds is my love for food and my little support from family. I love nuts with dried fruits waaaaay too much which causes me to often overeat when I am bored and have nothing to do. But I recognized my problem, and it is that the mix of nuts and fruit is delicious, and I don't like nuts that much without the dried fruit [Which contains tons of added sugars] so I'm not buying it anymore! And my family, I tell them I want a flat stomach, and they say I'm okay the way that I am, but I don't want to be okay! I want to be fit, strong, and the best I can be!
