Foods Kids Menu? Dec 02 2008
23:17 (UTC)

im 21 and i order off the kids menu all the time...unless its fried chicken strips or stuff like that. What someone told me to do, which I want to start doing if I ever remember, is to get an adult size and then ask them to box up 1/2 of it before they give it to me. That way I'll have a meal for later & wont be tempted to eat it all. It works & they dont look at you too crazy. You can always say its for your sister at home..

hey! If it helps any I am 5'10" also and 21 years old. I eat around 1300-1500 calories a day, but I found that I can't down a loaf of bread bc thats what makes me gain. lol i was trying to eat my calories but mainly in carbs and that definitely doesnt work. i am also trying to get to 130 or 128, which i used to be and right now im at 144. I don't think it should take you that long as long as you eat healthy (not just count calories) and work out. Maybe a couple or few months. Im aiming for my birthday next march! Hope that helps!

Weight Loss Weight Loss and SSRIs Dec 01 2008

Hey! Totally know what youre going through. My body handles SSRIs pretty poorly and so I finally switched off that whole category of drugs. I switched over to antipsychotics, which are used to treat anxiety as well as Bipolar. I was on seroquel for awhile but having to take 400 mgs a day throughout the day for my anxiety made me pretty tired & sluggish. I then switched to Abilify which worked great and I actually lost weight, but the pills are so damn expensive.. $1600 for one month w/o insurance & around $800 w/ insurance. I was even on a low dose! Anyways, I had to switch from those bc I didnt have enough money, plus the pills started to make me pretty antsy, which defeated the whole point of me taking them. Eventually I just switched over to Inderal (the blood pressure med) which blocks adrenaline rushes which are whta gave me panic attacks. That combined with the Strattera I take for ADHD seems to be working pretty well, except I still have slight anxiety. My experience is that most meds seem to give me a thousand side effects that are actually worse than the anxiety itself lol. Its also pretty difficult because I had a drug problem for a lot of years so I ask all my doctors to put me on non-addictive meds (no xanax etc.) which tend to not work as well. I wish you luck, hope some of my rambling helped!

I take Yasmin (not YAz) and have never gained weight. I have been on it for around 6 years (im 21) due to cramps etc. so its not like I could just stop taking it. I took Yaz for a month once and was bloated a lot so I switched back to Yasmin. Not moody & no weight gain. Hope that helps!

Hey! I'm just like you (a new to this too). I'm a college student, 21 yrs old, and 5'10". I used to work out a lot more but had to cut back recently. I plan on starting back up again asap. I usually go jogging 3-4 miles every other day and inbetween those days do weights or other strength training. I want to get back down to 125-130 by the beginning of next year but Im the type of person that really needs motivation and not to feel like "im alone in this." Anyways I'm willing to help ya out if you help me out ESPECIALLY because thanksgiving and xmas are around the corner. My family is from the south (alabama, louisiana, memphis etc) and there is always a ton of food and alcohol at every family gathering. Anyways let me know if ya wanna hwlp me out!

Alright awesome. Well, I am 5'9 1/2" . I weight 142 right now, but not very toned and I have small bones so its pretty noticeable. I used to weigh 130, but drinking and eating junk have upped that alot. I'm a college student and I work so I haven't been working out as much, but I want to start jogging every other day and yoga/pilates inbetween my jogging days. Really I would really like to tone up and just get the body I know I can get with alot of motivation and hard work. Does that help any?
