That happens to me too! I get pins and needles in both feet and can not feel my toes! I try to lift my heels up and use the pads of my feet it moves the pressure into a different place and it helps a bit.

But it is good to know that using the knees more will help awesome!

I have been chopping vegetables into strips and taking them with me with some almond butter and/or hummus to dip them in and snack on them whenever I start to get hungry throughout the day...it's working for me so far and I never feel hungry anymore. It's only been two weeks and people have mentioned that I look like I lost weight...but I feel like I am eating all the time!!!

DON'T FORGET- MUSCLE WEIGHS MORE THAN FAT!!!

Try cutting out all non-fibrous carbs...such as sugar, bread and potatoe products. Non-fibrous carbs are like eating sugar raw...your body will burn that energy first before your fat.

Look into vegetable alternatives and lots of them :-) ; I eat yams, zucchinis, squash, turnip or alternative roots instead of potatoes and saute them with olive oil and rosemary for flavour.

When craving something sweet opt for fruit instead.

Instead of bread try a lettuce wrap instead.

Cut out any and all sodas, fruit juices and drinks like coffee; opt for tea's instead...try herbal teas- there is one you can get from whole food called weightless in contains herbs that enhances your digestion, liver function to help process the food you intake better.

Also, try Acai juice- you can buy it whole food the original...I say don't bother with pills. There has been some really interesting things said about it. I just bought some and have it in my fridge at home...I'll let you know what I think.

Also, weight problems can be an emotional issue that you haven't realized you have or dissolved yet. There is an amazing book called "Heal your body" which deals with helping to resolve physical issues by starting on a path to find what triggered it and the positive thought process to eliminate it.

It describes Fat- speciifcally being overweight as:

Oversensitivity. Often represents Fear and shows a need for protection. Fear may be a cover for hidden anger and a resistance to forgive.

See if that resonates with you and try to figure out what the problem may be that is keeping you from slimming down. Once you have faced the problem, change your thought process and tell yourself that you are safe and secure and protected by divine love. that you forgive others and create life the way you want it.

I have found that this has helped me cut through many things that were holding me back or leading me to eat when I didn't need to or in reaction to situations. It helped me figuring our why something triggered me to eat.

I hope this helps? :-) Good luck...you are on the right path...just don't give up. Remember it is so much better to lose weight gradually and slowly than to lose it quickly as you are more likely to keep it off with lifestyle change rather than a quickfix remedy.

Your body will retain water based on what kind of food you ate that day. So you might have taken in the same amount of calories but the types of food were different.

Steer clear of non-fibrous carbohydrates such as sugar, bread and potato products and try to replace them with vegetable alternatives.

Also...I try to weigh myself only once a month...everyday becomes obsessive and will effect how you look at your day which in turn will effect how you eat and drink.

Concentrate on eating right and getting some exercise in and not on the numbers...check back at a much later date...if a month is too far away for you....check back in two weeks.

What kind of calories are you in taking in? If your non-fibrous carbohydrate intake is too high then your body will be burning off those first prior to burning off any fat.

Try to steer clear of non-fibrous carbs such as sugar, bread and potato substances...look for alternatives like having a lettuce wrap instead of bread

...swap sweet potatoes/yams for potatoes or try alternative vegetables like zucchini/courgette and squashs; turnips and other root vegetables especially celeriac (celery root) which can taste just like potatoes and is so much better for you...cook them like you would potatoes... people often think that it is the only thing you can saute, bake, mash and fry...you can do this with all of these and it is delicious.

if you crave something sweet- have some fruit instead...like a peach, strawberries. any berries.

drink lots of water and cut out coffee/sodas...drink herbal teas instead. Your body could be retaining water if you drink too much sodas and coffee. The more water you drink the more you will be able to flush out of your system.

Also cardio is good for your heart rate and internal fat but weight lifting actually burns more energy. try to do 30 mins of cardio and then 30 mins of weight work.

Any very importantly...get at least 6-8 hours of sleep...no more no less...your body's sugar levels will be higher if you don't have enough sleep and if you have too much, your body will start to get itself ready for another sleep cycle and will feel interrupted leaving you feeling more tired than before.

Wine...can be good for you- in moderation...try to limit to only one glass a day and always have a glass of water at the same time...alternate between wine and water. This will leave you hydrated and help you drink less.

I hope this helps. :-)
