Personally, I think the raging animal-rights type veggie is mostly a negative stereotype. I have met very few vegetarians (or vegans) with that type of attitude, if any. It's like women who get all upset about these "crazy man-hating feminists".. Uhm. When's the last time you personally ran into one? You know? I think veggies have more tolerance than they're given credit for. Way more.

Hey you guys are all doing awesome!! Keep up the great work. Sorry for the short response today -- I am in the last week of school (a LOT to do) and plus, my scale ran out of batteries! Which is serendipitous because friday was Easter Dinner and I ate -a lot-. No time to exercise either... LOL But YOU guys are doing good, and that's what counts! =D So stick with it gals.

bubbles556 -- Arg! I hate when the scale does that -- dips up right on weigh-in day. You know, you're still right on schedule AND, the increase can be from any old thing.. water.. food weight.. ttom, etc. But the 194 doesn't lie! =D haha Great work!! Can't wait to see next week!

Sorry I wasn't around last week gals -- I had some personal stuff going on. It didn't help that my weight had gone up AGAIN. Anyway, THIS WEEK, I finally lost the TTOM weight, and then a bit. Hilariously, this puts me at JUST a little more than 0.5 per week. So.. yeah!! Rock on! Hope you're all doing very well!!

silentdeadlyrose - You're doing great! I can't believe you've lost 4 lbs already -- that's wicked progress =D Congratulations and I am sure your scale was bein' honest =D

Hey Everybody!

Sorry it took me awhile to reply to you all -- last month of school is getting hairy! lol Still, though I am amazed at the progress that everyone is making. I think it's great that so many of you are getting right on at your half a lb a week and lots of you even more than that! It's fabulous, truly, and you all inspire me to get my nose to the grindstone. I'm sorry that my weight-loss has been so erratic. I wish I could be a better example of the group I created, and yet here I am losing and gaining a few lbs every week ahha Oh, that's irony for you. I'm lovin' it though, gals!! Keep it up! We're almost halfway there -- WE CAN DO THIS =D

Yeah. So now we're way above starting-weight.. I mean, I was feel insanely hungry this week and so I ate wayyyy more than last week. However, that's my pre-TTOM for you, and I can tell you that I didn't eat an extra 8400 calories. I think its water weight from said premenstrual TOM. Some of it, anyway. I didn't weigh all week because I could just tell it was going to be something ridiculous like this. Sigh. I can't wait until I'm premanantly under this 150 barrier that's driving me nuts. Bleh!

So.. That puts me at a lb a week, almost. My body made up for last week. Yay! Now I am feeling a little cushioned in case next week it stays the same.

kthompson92 -- Great work! Losing 3 lbs in a week is fabulous work, so good job! I bet your body recognized that it was getting the nutrients it needed and thus worked hard in return! =D Good luck with your weekend, I hope you have gads of fun and that you stay healthy and strong!!!

Hey Bubbles, congratulations!!!! That's fantastic. Isn't it awesome to see the scale moving in the right direction?! =D haha Yeah, I'm in the same frame-of-mind as you. If more comes of, and sometimes it does, it's certainly not a bad thing. Sometimes it's good to get a little momentum going in the beginning if you can, but I have to say, it's not mandatory. Sometimes a little bit at a time is a good way to keep positive.

I hope the numbers keep being good to ya until Saturday =D

Hey guys!

I am so excited that people are coming by to write in their numbers. Today I randomly weighed in at 149.6. Very strange! I wonder if it'll hold out for Saturday lol Talk about a wonky bod.

What do you guys think of that exercise challenge thing? I was thinking I might start doing a weekly "exercise-challenge" to see if I can't meet a goal or something like that.

How is everyone else doing? Are you guys finding that you're sticking to your baby steps and lifestyle changes?

I have no idea what happened this week. Somehow, I am up. Honestly, I didn't binge, I tried not to eat crappy foods. Granted, I didn't exercise, but I did try to make a defecit. Obviously my counting is off or something, because this is ridiculous. On Tuesday, I was at 151.8! Where did it go?! I have no idea.

Otherwise, to augette and ocarina, WOW -- you guys are doing GREAT! Ocarina -- seriously, that walking sounds like it's doing some damage haha I might have to try that

augette, I know exactly what you mean. I am always floating just above 150, and I don't know why my body keeps rising up here. Like a buoy :| THIS TIME, though, we're going to take it slow and steady. We'll break down that wall and never look back!

Bubbles -- Sorry I didn't get back to your entry before~ It sounds like you are making some serious changes in your life and that isn't easy. I am very much looking forward to your weigh-in as well to see where your journey is taking you! Good luck, can't wait! =D

Don't worry! haha I just weighed myself this morning and I am way up, so you won't be the only one! How have you been since the binge? Back on track? It's so easy when binges happen to just get totally off track but if you can find it somewhere in yourself to eat better afterwards and maybe do a bit of exercise, you might be surprised at your numbers!

Don't get dicouraged!! We're thinking long-term here, and the truth is.. Down the road, who's gonna remember one binge tuesday? It certainly isn't going to change your goal -- you're on your way!! That's the important thing. Process sometimes includes a little back and forth.. Don't be discouraged =)

=D That's what the group is all about. I agree -- it's nice to know that your aim is realistic, but if you happen to do even better then that's just icing on the cake, huh? haha I also think its cool because you know that as you get further down the road into the weight-loss, then you don't feel like you're doing worse because you're pulling smaller numbers. I am definitely looking forward to it!

kthompson92 -- I completely agree. Sometimes I am blown away by the numbers people pull each week and to be frank, I think even if that was possible for me it would mean huge backlashes of gaining. It's always easier to take your time and work steadily toward a goal, as you said working up to it! YAY I am so glad you are back on the CC wagon and ready to work your stuff!! I'm sure you're going to do GREAT and I look forward to seeing you around the group =D

Bubbles556 -- Oh my gosh lol I used to be 5'3.75" and it drove me nuts! I always felt like I was cheating or lying when I said 5'4" so I did what you do, which is follow it up with an explaination ahha Luckily, I just went for my physical and it turns out I guess I had a little more in me and I grew that last quarter inch! =D But, for the sake of the group, you can be whichever one you want -- we don't mind! haha Good luck, glad to have you =)

 

So this is a great start! It seems like we have a solid group of people who are interested in taking part! Yay! I look forward to seeing everyone's weigh ins on the 7th =D

I'm so in! I'm 148 right now and cannot WAIT to be in the 130's again.. haven't seen that number since middle school. Geck! =D It's my next mini-goal, so, here I am!


Anyway, I'm 5'3" (and 3/4s), 21 and living in Ontario, Canada. It's pretty silly and a little dorky but I looooooove support groups and posts and challenges and all those fantabulous things. So, if it's alright with everyone, I'll add you!

Well, this is my second attempt at weightloss, and getting a more healthy body. The first time I did it I lost 10 lbs (I think I got to 140) but when I started ignoring what I was doing and not exercising, I ballooned up to an all-time high of 156. Now, I'm back on track, and I might be going on vacation for the first week of January, and I'd like to be at least 142 for that.. which is perfect for this challenge!

 

I guess I'll post my measurements tomorrow =)
