Working out for me this week is NOT going to happen.. I have the Flu.. Yay!! LOL I have been home from work the past two days, and have been told by my doc to stay home. All I can do is walk into the kitchen make some tea and crawl back on the couch. Uggg. How are we going to post our weigh ins?

I am looking for somesupport and motivation.. I have been gaining weight and feeling worse everyday. Between recurrent pain (fibro) and hypothyroidism I am falling even further behind my goal!! I started on CC almost a year ago, lost a bit then it all came back. Lack of motivation and support is my biggest problem. I work so hard (job and home) and find myself forgetting about me..

I started hydro aeorbics twice a week and ended up with swimmers ear.. LOL I know pretty sad! HELP  Yell

I am in.. I need to lose 60 lbs or a little more..:) I am a little older than yall but I could really use some motivation..I have gained roughly 25 pounds in the last few months.. thyroid is totally out of wack and the synthroid is not helping yet..

I have a question: I eat roughly 1600 calories a day.. I burn, according to the burn meter 3100..So does that mean I have a net of -1500?? I am having  aheck of a time losing anything this time around. Could this be why.. I cannot eat anymore..

Well, I had a great weekend. Kept very busy; needless to say say I am paying for it today! Surprised One thing I must remember Fibro kicks back! LOL I have kept within my calories each day and kept with the cardio all weekend. I will be back at the hydro aerobics Tuesday. I think my biggest problem at home, is keeping up with my water. I do so well at work, then when I am home I am not pushing the water. Something I need to fix for sure!

Well Off to the hot tub! Tongue out Then bed 5 am comes all too quick!

Hi everyone!!

I am new to the Green Team..This is not my first BL challenge..I am looking forward to getting back on track.. I have gained what I lost from the last challenge. I am not very proud of that, but I am here ready for a fight!! :) I started hydro aerobics today after work, what a workout..without the sweat!

A bit about me: I am "almost 46" 6 ft  married lady. My husband and I have been marrried for almost 9 years, we have 4 grown children between us. I have two boys, one that is in the Army "special forces", he just got married this past May. My youngest is in the Air Force. My husband has two children; one boy who is in the Air Force and a daughter that is married to an Air Force man. I might add, my husband retired from the Air Force 5 years ago, and we both work for the Air Force as civilians!  As you can see we are a military family!!

I have 68 pounds to lose. I have hypothyroidism, diagnosed pre-diabetes, and fibromyalgia and have a brachial plexus injury. I am facing possible surgery to repair some nerve damage.

I look forward to the banter and support of a team environment to help me in my quest to finally shed these pounds. Oh and fight off the pre diabetes, get through this injury and alleviate the fibro pain..

Go GREEN!

I feel as though I have been off on some other planet! Work, death in the family, and my Oldest deploying yet again... Just letting you all know I am here, clawing my way to the surface. I have not lost a pound.nor have I gained. (I guess that is a good thing)>>>>I am still here and in the moment. Stress of life and looking ahead to more secure and jubilant times of my boy coming home to his family!! Looking forward to the possibility of a new career move in all of this chaos.

Well, I am back from the oldest sons wedding..and a long drive to visit my dear mother in law after the loss of her husband to cancer. We have come a long way in the past few weeks and I have not gained a pound...I have not lost anything either but that is a good thing in my book! It has been a long few weeks of airport food and quick meals as we drove from Nashville to Jersey! Now I am home and getting my focus back..

Well Thank you! Sorry to hear of your loss as well. :(

My DH is heading home on a plane day after tomorrow, on what I am sure will be the last time he sees his dad. We will deal with what life has to throw at us, however this has been the roughest thus far! He keeps busy and I eat..I have made some wonderful meals and he has built some really nice wood projects for the yard in the past few weeks. In between we don our ipods and go for long walks. I guess that has been the saving grace in the stress area.

CW: 237.6  Yep I gained!! Over the past few weeks our family has suffered through the death of two friends, our daughter in law having brain surgery and my husbands dad being diagnosed with inoperable colon cancer that has metastasized.

I eat when I am stressed, so I have eaten   lots!! lol Well I am trying to help my DH cope with each blow he has been dealt and now must get myself back on track. I need to get my own health back on track....

Hi Beth,

I totally understand where you are coming from! I too worked as a 911 dispatcher. I had to leave the job because I could not go without the bathroom breaks after having a historectomy. Ours was a small center for a large county that could only have 1 dispatcher on duty. It was nothing to have 20 crashes on a snowy night and a housefire and several medical calls all going at once. We dispatched for city, county, fire and medical...very busy! The weight I gained during that time continued after I left..I too have a thyroid condition and closely approaching that big 50.. I think many factors play into the weight staying on the hips (and belly and butt). I notice that if I watch the carb intake the weight comes off. If I do not get enough rest I gain. Food allergy? Maybe.. I start a sneezing fit 15 minutes after eating my mutigrain wheat bread. Adding water helps keep the pounds from creaping back on. But I seem to lose the same 20 pounds and "stay" right there!

I do not have any answers, just more questions. I think this is a great format to hep get the answers we are looking for. Research every aspect of issues other folks are having and take bits and pieces, using them to your advantage! Somethng will work, it's just finding the right soemthing for each of us.... well I am off to find another piece of the puzzle!

dewdropflower has dropped out of this challenge over my mistake.

On a related note, I will not be doing this challenge again.  It takes far too much time and with our new house, summer and life in general, I do not have the time to run it properly and mistakes like this are made. So, if anyone else would like to take over, please let meknow and I can send my excel document to them.

Happy Saturday fellow Orange Teammates,

This week has been productive, we have a great start to take the lead! I for one have re-opened my eyes to my goals. Don't ever keep your eye off of your target..a healthier, happier you!

I lost a great friend yesterday to cancer. He died at a young 47, leaving behind a wife and  3 children...the truly sad point is he will never get to see his first grandchild come into the world in 3 shorts month from now! I for one had a reality slap; life is to short to not be happy! I will meet my goal of a healthier me, all the while enjoying life to it's limits!

Until next week...........Eat well, but healthy..exercise daily..drink your water!!
