Original Post by melika08: You might want to try upping your daily calories to 1400 or 1500 and see if you feel more full and don't feel the urge to overeat. |

| Weight Loss | What is exactly a binge? | Mar 02 2009 16:34 (UTC) |

It could be a binge, especially if you felt like you had absolutely no control over yourself. But don't worry, recognize it for what it was and just put it behind you. I know the guilt is horrible, but to help move past it, it sometimes helps to think of the reasons why you binged so as to better prevent another one from occurring. For example, you may have been eating to few calories for the last few days, or been under a lot of stress. Although it may be difficult, try to think positive things about your body, even if you feel guilty By not putting yourself down about your binge it will be easier for you to continue with your day normally, and to make healthier choices. If you have time, you also may want to exercise (once you don't feel stuffed). Not only will you burn off some of the calories, but it will release endorphins in your brain and you will feel happier |

My absolute fovorite out of the Amy's meals are the pizzas! The crust tastes homemade and the toppings do too. They have many different types, including regular cheese pizza, pesto, vegetable, margarhita. They're all reeeally good though and i strongly recomend them! |

| Weight Loss | Treadmill....walking or jogging | Jan 18 2009 02:12 (UTC) |

Congradulations on getting a treadmill! Holding the bars isn't really a good idea. After all, if you think about it the human body wasn't designed to walk like that. As far as running or walking, technically you could do ether and still burn the same amount of calories. Walking just takes longer and running will be quicker. It's beneficial to try and switch between running, walking, and intervals on different days. This keeps your body guessing and could help ward of a plateau. Overall, in the beginning the best thing to do is the one you like best. If you enjoy or at least don't mind exercising, you'll be more likely to keep it up. One of the most important thing is to get into a routine. good luck!! |

mm yummmy, quinoa=) Compared to rice it has a slightly nutty flavor. The texture is a little different too, its not as mushy. Also, make sure you rinse it thouroughly before cooking. There's a bitter coating on it (naturally) and if you don't rinse it well enough it tastes pretty gross lol. |

Don't worry, Like littlebeep said it's really not possible to gain that much in two days. Also, it can depend on what time you weight yourself. If you weigh yourself at night the scale is going to say a higher number than in the morning because the food you've eaten during the day isn't fully digested yet. Also, if you had clothes on they could add another 1-2 pounds. |

Thanks everyone for the suggestions!
For lunch I'll usually have a PB and J sandwich and a fruit or vegetable, or a sandwich with hummos, tomato, and avocado and a fruit or vegi.
and about the calories I'm not really sure how many to have each day. CC told me to have 1400 but I aim for about 1600 |

| Young Calorie Counters | doesnt it annoy you when naturally thin people call themselves fat? | Dec 23 2008 01:36 (UTC) |

yessssss.
I have a friend who one time stepped on the scale and when she saw that she was 103 her reaction was "oh my god, ewwwww. That's so gross!" What's really annoying is that she criticizes herself like that in front of me, but whenever i even make the slightest mention of dieting or exercise she starts in with the whole "you don't need to lose weight, your fine" routine. It makes no sense when she says this b/c she weighs a good 20 lbs less than me and yet she sometimes claims that shes fat!!
.......wow, thanks for starting this thread, i didn't realize how much that bugged me and how much i needed to get it out until now.
