You must be another twin! I am 22, about 205 and want to lose about 40 pounds by summer as well!. If you need support and or a partner to keep you accountable, I'm always wondering about on these sites. There's a great topic called "Find Your CC Twin" where you'll find tons of people listing their goals and you'll see many have the same goal as you. So let's do it. Summer bodies..here we come!. How would you like to do this? Weigh ins? chatting? I'm up for it! |

I wasn't fitted for shoes...good lord, I wouldn't even know where to go to do that! (haha) I wear New Balance shoes cause they're pretty light but maybe that's the problem. And yeah, I don't even kinda run like that. I hit with the heel and roll up, I believe. Thank you for being so helpful! I just don't know what to do to make the run better. I actually enjoy it (which is a VERY new feeling!) so getting irritated isn't helping. Where might one get fitted for her shoes? (I feel like Cinderella..if she wore running shoes.) |

Right there with ya... Not to mention that those craps are a thousand times worse than cramps in the legs from squats. I'll take those anyday! Once you stop the squat, they go away! lol |

Cramping seems absolutely like what could be happening. I do stretch well, but perhaps I'm not doing the right kind of stretches for that? Any suggestions? Even just walking (which I just did again) resulted in lots of crampy pain. I tried to evaluate my gait to see if I'm actually causing it and it would seem I roll my foot too far to the outside on the right. However, I don't know how to fix this! I can do about 2 steps with it in more and then my foot rebels and goes back to the way it was walking before. Also, how do you become a midfoot striker? Because of my past as a field commander in a competitive marching band, I constantly stand with my knees locked and always strike with my heel first while running and walking (this is what was required.) I really want to change all of this....truly, I just want to be able to run. It's frusterating to know the only reason I have to quit is because of the cramping and not because I'm out of breath. Very defeating. |

I did Adkins too and lost like 40lbs. Of course, I was so depressed and sad all the time (I stayed on the 0 carbs for 1 month instead of 1 week - I was so desperate to lose weight.) Never want to get like that again. This site can be kind of intimidating with everyone talking about everything and weighing in and all of that - I'd like to do that too, but don't even know where to begin! lol
