Protein bar, or a When protein shake... This is what I do, because I too have a problem getting to work on time :).

It is quite simple, I buy both protein bars and Whey protein (I buy the individual packs so it is easier no messy measuring.), and keep a big water bottle at my desk. So i either drink a protein shake or eat a protein bar depending on how I'm feeling.

If you are going to do this you need to make sure you use a meal replacement protein though...

The amount on their website includes a six inch wheat sub.

This is what I found on their website, its kinda hidden but explains it better. If you will look it tells you what they are including...

http://subway.com/subwayroot/MenuNutrition/Nu trition/pdf/NutritionValues.pdf

I get 6inch turkey/ham on wheat with no cheese, extra lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion, carrots (yes carrots), vineager, salt, peper, oregano.... I LOVE SUBWAY! I had it today for lunch :)

the percentage thing might work if he was really overweight. A size 32 isn't that big for a guy- I don't think?.... I believe that is what my bf wears; and hes lean- and by the way he eats WHATEVER HE WANTS!

chicken wings, pizza, and beer.  often, unfortunately, in combination :/

Oh man! That is SO funny, My friend just sent me a text telling me I just HAD to come over for wings pizza and beer tonight!.... GREAT!

Pizza is a HUGE weakness for me, especially the pizza they are having tonight.... its from NY- her dad owns a Pizza place up there and he ships it too her. I am not joking, this is the best pizza I have ever had in my life.

FML.

Edit:

Annnnnnd French Fries w/ Ranch... I think the Highschool Cafeteria French fries and their delicious ranch accounts for 20 lbs. Seriously.

This happens to me every time I go somewhere with my sister. She is sixteen, and eats TERRIBLE things. One day she asked me to bring her lunch, and since I am a nice sister and my boss wasn't here and I could take a long lunch break I said okay. You know what she asked for? A big mac, medium fries, and a large sweet tea!!! AHHHH I use to do that- however I didn't eat a big mac, just a double cheeseburger but STILL. yuck.

Weight Loss What should I be doing? Am I on the right track? Mar 24 2009
14:22 (UTC)

Just two things that I have found in my own research....

Bananas can be harmful for weight loss, they have an enzyme in them that causes your weight loss to slow down.

and, Turkey bacon is basically the same thing as Bacon (if you get the right kind) you just have to eat it in moderation- eating bacon or sausage every day is not good for your system- egg whites are a MUCH better source of protein.

I am no expert, but I have learned a few things through CC, and other sites.

There is a really good Shrimp recipe that I used at my last ladies christmas "tea" (basically we all sit around and get toasted hah)... I'll get it for you if you like shrimp. It's pretty simple and you make it the night before.

He honestly just loves to cook, which is a plus! Personally I hate spending money on groceries but its just something that has to be done. So what I do is figure out how many meals we are going to eat at home together for the next week or two find a meal for each one and make a grocery list.

We do a lot of chicken, we buy it fresh but you can also buy a huge bag of frozen chicken breast for around 12 bucks that is just as good.

We also do shrimp. If you buy the frozen UNCOOKED shrimp, it doesn't taste fishy at all, but you do have to take the time to take the skin off and everything...  We do shrimp Alfredo (it's his favorite, so I found a healthier way to cook it)There is a low fat Alfredo sauce floating around this site somewhere (its kinda bland so add some of your own spices), and there is a new type of pasts now that is high in protein so it is better for you.

We grill Tuna (the less you grill it the better it tastes, say 2 min on each side). We do beef stir fry over rice, Chicken stir fry in a corn tortilla, Asparagus is a wonderful veggie that you buy one bushel and use the entire thing for dinner so it doesn't go bad. A great if you like broccoli like me, you can get a big bag of frozen broc. (or any other frozen veggies for that matter)and it stays good FOREVER, that way you could do a meat, and a veggie for you and he can deep fry something for himself :)

We also found a pretty good recipe for pancakes that I can share with you, and I am about to try this new pancake recipe this weekend that is really high in protein which you need in the a.m.

All in all, it is better to just come right out and ask him what he likes, and find a healthy version. Plan meals together if that works for both of you (I can't keep my boyfriends attention for long enough to do that!) find a cookbook that has nutritional information, and pictures for every meal and you're golden!

I have a lot more information, and I can give you the name of a good cook book if you would like... Remember: Dining in is ALWAYS cheaper than eating out...

His job is very physically demanding and he's already ADHD so while I'm struggling to motivate myself to get to the gym, cursing all through sit ups and aerobics classes, he's just hanging out at home.  While I'm scouring the aisles for nutrition information, the girl scouts at the door convinced him to buy one of EVERYTHING! Have you ever tried portion control with those things? Thin mints will be the death of me.  Plus his darn deep fryer.  I love fried things! But they just can't be a part of my life right now.

THIS sounds exactly like my boyfriend! Minus the ADHD!

He is very supportive when it comes to cooking healthy things (he does all the cooking)- once I find the healthy recipe and strole through the grocery store for mere hours looking for all the ingredients! This I love about him, that he is willing to eat what I eat for dinner.  BUT he makes 4 servings and eats 3! He is also not allowed to go to the grocery store without me, for ANY reason, because he never fails to bring home some sort of little debbie! I hear "just this once" about 3 times a day!! Skinny jerkkkk! :)

He also tells me everyday how beautiful I am, and how good I look, and is very sinere. I just wish he would walk with me more, and not bring home all that good stuff that I can't eat!

I just tell myself.... There is no "perfect" boyfriend, but he is my perfect match.

Sounds good to me.... although this week will not be a good weigh in for me because it's that time of the month :( Sheessshhh. How I am going to do it is I have lost 5 pounds since pre that time last month, so if I have lost 5 pounds from what I was weight in at that time last month I'm good.... Idk if that makes any sense....
