Their website says 260 as well...not 290. Atleast thats a little better, but why would it say 160 on the box?!? Have they recently updated to make them "healthier?" |

I'm kinda in the same place as you. I'm currently 124 lbs at 5'3 and im 20 yrs old. I'd like to be 115 lbs so i'm getting there :-) only 9 lbs to go. But im having alot of trouble getting there i feel like i hit a plateu im stuck at. I've been fluctuating between 122-124 lbs for over a month. it would be interesting to hear what others have to say. Other suggestions for this. I guess im in no rush. as long as im at my goal by summer i'm ok. |

Thanks. i know im not "fat" so i shouldnt say "fat" but i just always find myself comparing. and yeah im very very petitie so when i was 140 i looked alot heavier than that...so its not a surprise 120 looks more than it is. i have very very small bone structure. When i was younger the doctors thought there was something wrong because i was soooo unbelievibly tiny. Once i got in middle school things started to even out. Im still small so when i do put on weight, its more noticable.
but thanks for motivation. i think i decided 7 lbs just because knowing me...i'll put a couple back on in no time ;-)
jade...thats kinda cool. Never met anyone with a birth mark on their belly like mine haha. I like it there lol. |

haha thanks to both of you. i got stuck at the weight of 125 lbs for like ever (well it seemed like it anyway) and now im at 122 lbs! so im happy to see there is hope for me yet :) i went down 2 pants sizes (8 to a 4) I got 7 lbs to go. i definatly stopped the weighing myself every few days. i was like obsessed with it...I just do it once a week now. Its frustrating when i dont see any results but if i dont loose anything i just see it as a week i could have potentially put on a pound or two. Oh well. Yeah with these stupid scales i feel like that lady in the weight watchers commercial who has the scale attached to her ankle with chains. It pretty much is attached with me. The scale at my apartment says im 107 lbs so when i need something to make me happy i step on that haha (im really not 107 lbs! its a messed up scale) |

and YES! lol, she calls him and checks up on us when we are at MY apartment!!!! she doesnt call saying she is checking up on us but she will call to "see how he is doing" or "did you get to my apartment safe" or "What are you doing tomorrow?" or "what time will you be leaving in the morning?" (thats my favorite- she asks what time he will be leaving my place in the morning ASSUMING he is leaving in the morning!) |

haha it will happen r4eboxer! give it time. he's still young...our relationship is a little more mature than some of our other friends. I'm more mature for my age, he isnt so much but is getting to be. I'm rubbing off on him :-) he just needs to find a great girl. YEs! Its ridiculous i completley understand why were werent allowed to be in the same room alone when we were in high school! At the time i thought it was lame but what high schooler would'nt?? It's just ridiculous that we are adults now. We are both kind of sucking it up and respecting them untill we graduate...he says if it continues after we graduate we just wont visit. Sounds fair to me!! |

I appreciate everyone's input here. I guess i kind of knew it all along that we need to talk with them. Not just about moving in together for the summer, but treating us like children in general. I understand his mom's point where she says we have alot going for our lives and she doesnt want us to mess it up now. But we are sexually active and we will do it despite what his and my parents say. it's not their buisiness and i am mature enough to use protection, i am on birth control. i guess im just in denial about needing to have that talk with them. Im not asking they let us be like a married couple but just things like, its okay to let us stay alone somewhere or its okay for him to stay at my place without his mom calling every hour. unfortunatly...i'm coming to find out parents will never stop treating you like their child, but as far as treatting me like A child, i dont want.

haha yeah. his sister and i are fairly close. She lives in california so we dont see her a whole lot. My boyfriend is very close with his sister so im thinking maybe he can talk to her and ask her how she did it...she is totally understanding of us. thats how i know his mom asked her to "watch us" cause she came and told us she was like "That is ridiculous! your 21." she didnt watch us that night haha...just said she would so we could for once have them off our backs. |

and by the way...my parents know im on birth control, i'm about 90% certain they know we are sexually active. i told my mom i wanted to go on it when i was 17, she just said "well if your going to be sexually active i cant stop you so i'd rather you be safe"- thats how my parents are. So i think my parents are a little more relaxed about that. His parents dont know im on birth control....i was thinking of just taking it in front of them so they know but then of course they know we are sexually active which they would NOT like. So thts another reason my family is a little more relaxed about us being alone. They know he comes to my place alot and stays and i go to his...his family would be like SKDHFKASJHDFKJAHSDKJ haha. |

I agree...thankyou for your opinion. i know im not mature enough to handle marriage and children. We dont plan on that any time soon. Both our families know that school is our priority right now and we both have a year left after our interns. I'm sick of being treated like that. when we are at our age level we should be treated our age level. it was like, i went to his parents for the holidays and he got a movie for christmas and they went to bed and we stayed up watching it...his mom asked his sister to sit with us! It also kind of hurts when his sister is only 23...2 years older than us. and when her boyfriend comes over for the holidays...they sleep in the same bed!! We've been dating much longer than them. and my boyfriend had to sleep on the sofa and he gave me his bed. I personally think our parents, especially his, are having a difficult time letting go...we are both the youngest in our families. is it really that hard for parents to let go??E is it different with the youngest?? who knows...maybe she has a rule of "23 years old your mature." i think his mom is having a very difficult time with him growing up. |

| Pregnancy & Parenting | Help me, Could I be pregnant? | Dec 24 2008 05:52 (UTC) |

1 out of every 100 women who use the pill as directed will get pregnant. the typical woman does not use it the SAME time everyday (sometimes 2 hours late, sometimes 5 hours late etc.) assuming they take it everyday, but not at the same time (like the average woman) the failure rate is 5 out of 100. So its best to take it same time everyday yes, but it is still effective if you dont take it the same time everyday. |

Part of me feels to young to have that talk. Like we go out somewhere and kids are running around being so annoying and im like thinking "oh my god! put your kid on a leash if hes going to be that way" Obviously i'd never do that...but you get it :-p. I dont plan on ANYTHING AT ALL untill i get ATLEAST 30. We both have amazing careers and im trying to get into the surgical field right now which isnt easy to get into. he had an internship with harley and is now doing mechanical engineering in research and development in automotive. So it's like we both want to get where we want to be before anything. hes made that clear. i completley agree with him. Brtaylor- kinda going with what you said, his mother pressures him SOOOO much. His sister is unable to have children so they are looking at adoption within the next couple years. His brother passed away a few years ago in a car accident so leaving him the last one. his mother brings it up ALL the time. she never pressures me or says anything to me about it, but will to him. I personally think she is making it worse. part of me wants to tell her to shut the hell up (haha) but she is amazing so i cant do that. So maybe that is part of it. he has once opened up to me a while back (we werent talking about "our children" this was just in general), he said he fears he is going turn out like his father. His dad is a little different. hes a nice guy but hes kinda obsessed with porn and has cheated on his mom with a 17 year old girl. this was when his older sister was 15 so it was a girl only 2 years older. So there is some there. he has like a love/hate relationship with his dad. He is NOTHING like his dad now. i asked him what he was scared of about turning into his dad cause he isnt a porn freak and he was like "I'm afraid im going to be a horrible dad and husband like he is"- harsh but it was a few years ago he said that. he still has not the best relationship with him. Simig- as far as "answeing my own questions" is concerned- i am not. I'm not asking wheter i should be with this guy or not. I was more leaning towards i dont get why he is giving some people different answers. I did not answer that question, if i knew the answer i wouldnt be asking. Thanks :) |

In some odd kind of way that does make sense. but in NO WAY am i pressuring him. yes we will discuss it but i'm getting the feeling now isnt the right time for him. Hoping he will be more recptive to it when things kinda settle down. Pretty hectic right now since he just moved back and im crazy busy with school. i dont plan on making my decisions any time soon. i just dont want us to have compleltey sperate views on this someday. Who knows maybe i wont and he will.... |

Yes, without a doubt he is the one i want to be with! I would not spend 7 years of my life with someone if i wasnt sure. We didnt go through hell for 4 years of seeing each other once every 2 or 3months for nothing!!! yes it was hard, but it has certainly paid off. As we both have achieved our dream jobs (well me, almost) and are still together! Not a doubt in my mind shawn would do anything for me. He would have kids if i were to leave him for it....but i dont want to force him into it. He would do anything for me, i just would want him to do it for the right reasons. Shawn is always doing what is best for us. He is truley a great guy, not once has he ever made me doubt it. He likes kids, hes great with them hes just said he isnt sure if they are for him. he was like it isnt something you can reverse or just return. I agree with that, which is why im unsure as well...i just worry more in the future whether this is going to be a big issue and looking if anyone has had this issue with their man. I mean are men afraid to grow up?? he's still young so its not like i need an answer by tomorrow. |

^ yeah. this "something like this" is the children issue because to me, right now at this very moment i'm undecided as well. I'm VERY content with our relationship. But if we were to split and i found out someday i do want children i would probably kick myself in the head. Baiscally because i'm lucky i even found a guy like him!! he's always done what is right for us. hes very ambitious, very smart. he would make a wonderfull father someday, no doubt in my mind. I have a niece i watch alot and he is absolutley wonderfull with her. I've walked in on them talking to each other on a teletubie play phone (not something most guys i know do, not even her father talks to her on her teletubue play phone) and he always does this airplane thing with her that she doesnt let anyone else do because they dont do it like he can! I think once we settle down a little more and i'm done with school he will be more receptive to talking about it. It's just how he is...he's never wanted to take things fast! i brought it up once briefly and hes like "we dont need to make that decision right now." i just said our views were different hes like "I didnt say i dont. i just dont think we need to discuss this right now. but you know i would never leave you and id do anything for us"- thats where it ended.
oh well :-p i think its more of a communication problem in our relationship than the actual issue of that ourselves. YYYYYea we are young and immature, but we are getting there! THaanks julie! |

Original Post by simignonne: well said... i just didnt want to make it sound bad, "getting to know each other" like i dont want to make it sound like i dont know the guy im engaged to :-). But im sure you get it now. he WILL open up on occasions. You just have to get him at the right moment...he knows where i stand, he knows im undecided. but he just like doesnt worry about anything like that at all...the most he has ever looked ahead into "our future" is where he wants to get a job to be with me. He turned down a position at harley davidson in their engineering department, to come home to me. i asked him why he did that cause as anurse i could get a job anywhere and he told me that he knows i want to live close to home and to work at the hospital i have my internship at right now. |

Ahhh your not being rude! maturity is a factor....i agree. Hence why i dont want to bring it up quite yet as im not mature enough and either is he. (i like the honesty!!!) I do feel like i can talk to him about alot of things as he opens up to me alot more than he does anyone else. Obviously im not going to take it any further if we dont agree on the topic but it just has me worried because hes such an amazing guy. we dated since we were 17. hes my best friend, my everything!! and i'm fearfull of losing him. I think its more the fact i fear losing him over something like this than anything else. |

Yeah, thats not really like my situation because atleast your husband is willing to discuss it. He wont "talk about it" but he says things like that. But thanks for that...its good to know he isnt completley helpless and maybe over time. Everyone thinks its odd we dont get married right now, and i really dont like people pressuring us because of it. It is our decision and we are doing what we think is best for us. He went half way across the country to the top engineering school in the country and i stayed back at our home town and attended nursing school. Reason i stayed: i got an internship in cardiology! i couldnt turn that down. He had an internship with Harley Davidson, and i didnt want to make him turn that down! i mean, who would make their loved one stay? he promised me he would move back when he completed school and wanted more than anything to have this intern spot. So i let him go (duh!) we were apart for 4 years!!!!! we saw each other on holidays and talked every night. He is a very trusting guy...i trusted him with everything. he has the biggest heart so there was no doubt we couldnt do a long distance thing. After 4 years of being apart, we are now together and its such a shock for us!! like i couldnt imagine being apart for 4 years then getting married RIGHT AWAY. and having the pressure of the wedding, getting me through my last year of school, getting settled in his job etc. It would have been too much for me and him to handle. So we decided it would be best untill i'm done with school untill we even start planning. We did what we thought was best for us, and its been working great. We are taking things slowly and one thing at a time. |

Ruffles makes these chips called LIGHT ruffles...the cheddar and sour cream ones are FRIGGEN GOOD! they are even less calories than the baked chips. its like 75 calories in 15 chips i think, but they are big chips. i love chips too. I dont buy them or i buy these and count out 15 chips and have my fiance hide the rest haha. Or i eat pretzels and have him hide the rest as well :-p he has a VERY good hiding spot cause i called him at work one day cause i wanted them and he wouldnt tell me so i went searching. Blah...wherever they are, its clever! |

Forget about your calories and weight for a day!! seriously, you wont gain your weight back in one day. That would be pretty friggen amazing. Maybe enjoy what others are having but in moderation. Like instead of having 10 christmas cookies, have like 1 or 2. Eat them slowly so you can enjoy them longer. Just dont count calories like "This sprinkle is 3 calories, and this sprinkle n this cookie is 4 calories because its red" uh...no! go for it. I wouldnt forget about it for a week ...but xmas day-have at it!!! :-) Drink some egg nogg and enjoy your xmas!! After that- go back to your diet. |

No, not really. most people try to consume less at dinner and more at lunch or breakfast. Just because you are most active during the day. Personally, i dont think it matters. i've been eating my biggest meal at dinner my whole life and im not overweight (im mainly on here for weight managment) |
