I agree.I work in a company where we have "mystery shoppers".God forbid if we don't go through this entire entire speal and get "mystery shopped". Sometimes I feel like my company actually wants to harass it customers. We not only have to greet them but ask them "life style releated questions".Most people are nice and just deal with it.Some people actually yell at me,and I don't blame them.I am all for good customer service, but our "customer greet'is a serious over kill! |

Can't we just give them some birth control? If they weren't getting knocked up every ten damn minutes(,maybe sooner, )we wouldn't be having this converstation. |

| Weight Loss | Am I gaining weight or muscle? Someone please help..... | Jan 11 2009 04:42 (UTC) |

I have worked in the health and fitness world for over 10 years. It sounds like you could be gaining muscle.I would recommend takeing measurements of your body to know for sure. When you do resistance training such as weights/squats/crunches, you work the muscle by "ripping"it.Thus where the term getting ripped came from.Once the muscle heals, your body absorbs protein from the food you eat and supplements you take into the muscle fibers. This is how you tone.Toneing is a good thing.F.Y.I ,each pound of muscle burns an extra 30 calories per day(aprox). Since muscle weighs more then fat,you may see the number on the scale actually get bigger as you tone.Again, start measureing your biceps, waist ,ect...You will notice a decrease of inches in some areas and an increase in others. The decrease is the burned fat.The increase is the new tissue.Good luck!! |

I've done this one before. It's not healthy, but it does help you to lose weight and quick.I lost about 4 lbs per week in the beginning.70 lbs in a year.I'm seeing a doctor regularly and taking tons of nutritional supplements.I currently shoot for 1200 calories a day.My only suggestion to you is to just check with a doctor prior to starting the diet. |

I am not 50,I am 29.Just like you, I've been dieting for a long time.(I was an overweight child).I've been up and down the scale in the last 5 years.108 to 215 lbs.I have a tendency to over eat/binge eat.I have high cholestorol as well.I am trying to get my eating and cholestorol under control.Yep,I have shelves full of books too.I haven't seen a nutritionist yet.Just doctors.Well, welcome and keep your head up.You'll lose those 58 pounds.Just have faith. |
