| The Lounge | too young to lose virginity???? | May 26 2009 18:44 (UTC) |

The age of consent here is 16, i lost it at 16, most of my friends did, I don't regret it, never have. I felt ready to lose it then, I was the first of my friends to lose it, never felt any pressure from anyone to do it, it was just the natural next step to take in my relationship. |

I personaly would (and do) look above your price range, people price things expecting to be dragged down from that price. People expect to negotiate and as a first time buyer with no chain in this market you can afford to be cheeky in your offers. |

| The Lounge | What did your parents do RIGHT? | May 09 2009 19:55 (UTC) |

My parents taught me the value of money. I've always gotten what i wanted, in that respect I am spoilt, but apart from for a week in April, since i was 13 I have never been unemployed. Most of the time i was at school i worked 2 jobs too, My parents taught me to work for what i wanted, and i am so glad they did. Alot of my friends will be graduating uni this year never having had a real job or having to pay for ANYTHING. they think they can waltz out there and get a job and buy a house in one swoop. I'm glad i'm not so naiive... |

I'm wary of being friends with co workers let alone start relationshps with them. I see work and my social life as 2 very different things, and i don't like the 2 to mix. I mean, i go out drinking with my co workers if we're having a work night out, but i don't keep in contact outside of office hours, i just don't think it's very professional. My boy sees things totally differently, he works and socialises with the same people and while it works for him due to the nature of his business, i don't think it's great for an office enviroment due to the structure of it.

How are they providing inferior care for inferior dogs exactly? The dogs are looked after, the dogs find loving homes.... I don't see how this is any differernt to someone going to a shelter...They're not in puppy farms, you can see mother and father, you get home checked, you get insurance, you get healthy puppy. What is the problem? |

yes each dog comes with their KC registration, and health guarantees, hip scored, eyes and hearing tested and what have you, and are also kept in a good living enviroment. Puppies are loved, and home checks are carried out before you take them home, much the same as with dogs from shelters. The puppies aren't separeted from their parents untill they have been weaned. I don't really see how the shop is doing anything wrong. |

I can't quite understand why you would expect a mothers day card from your other half or even your in laws...you aren't their mother are you? your step daughter gives you a token of her appreciation surely that is enough? |

I've been out of work for a week and its driving me mad! This is the first time i've been unemployed since I was 13! Luckily my other half has decided to start his own business, I've been keeping my self busy making the website and doing the admin and legal stuff that comes with that. I think the worst is waiting to hear back from interviews. I'm waiting to hear back from 2 companies, and my next interview isn't till Thursday!

On the whole music side of things, I'm not sure if this is still true, but years ago it was illegal to put music files onto the internet for other people to share, but to just download it wasn't. So along as you weren't file sharing you were doing nothing wrong. |

If he really loved you he wouldn't be lusting...... You're weight is probably not the only problem in the relationship, just an easy way out.... He's been with you since you were heavier why mention other girls now?? So what if he is a 'local celeb'?? If he wants to be with you some minor celeb status should not change that. It is great you are losing the weight, but if he's not with you for you personally, why are you with him at all?? |

| The Lounge | When alcohol is a problem... | Mar 15 2009 02:24 (UTC) |

Well. Here is one problem.... If you're drunk enough to get caught? really? So the legal alcohol limit doesn't matter, so long as i'm not drunk enough to get caught? Well i know alot of people who can drink alot and function normally (or so it seems) they're fine to get behind the wheel after 10 pints so long as they don't get caught are they? If they were stupid enough they could drive home from the pub, mow down an innocent human being, but, as you said they didn't get caught so what the hey! They didn't get caught so who cares!! You are aware you don't have to be driving noticably erratic to be caught drunk driving? |

| The Lounge | Grocery shopping at Walmart vs. your local grocery store? | Mar 15 2009 01:18 (UTC) |

So in the UK walmart = Asda, which is, in my opinion one of the worst food stores, the quality of the meat/the price. Not good.
I shop in Sainsburys and when i plan my weekly shop i use mysupermarket.co.uk it compares the price of your basket with other shops and i've confirmed my suspicions that my super market is the cheapest, but also in terms of free range food and stuff it seems to me that they have the best welfare standards too, shop around, the biggest name isn't always the best. My bill since doing this has gone from around £80 a week to £45 without giving up my morals... |

If someone has a drinking problem there is sweet fa you can do about it till they accept it themselves, i know that from experience. It's really heartbreaking and painfull but that's how it is. In the comments toward binge drinking. I used to binge drink, but that didn't mean drink driving! Bloody hell, i can go out on a Friday night and drink serveral men under the table but I'm not stupid enough to think i can drive!! Binge drinking might be college culture (I'm the U.K so can only speak for here) but drink driving isn't!! Students surely aren't that stupid??? My advice to the op. Try to make your son realise what he has done, don't pay for anything, he got himself in that mess he can bloody well get himself out. If he is in college and thinks he is old enough to drink, then he is fully aware of all the bad desicions he makes and he shouldn't turn to parents to get him out. If he wants to be treated like an adult by moving away from home, he can learn the hard way. I wouldn't help him one bit. so not having a license stops him getting a job, he must of known that before... he better get used to having no money |

It's all down to opinion, if i read only certain opinions on this site then my time spent on the wii fit and my cross trainer would be apparently a MASSIVE waste of time, the fact it's helped me drop over a stone and keep it off, however, is to me at least proof otherwise. |

no... i don't want to talk about world affairs... I'm not interested in heated arguements and I must admit I don't really care enough to do the proper research into each subject to be able to hold my own in a discussion, I would rather not talk about them. My opinions on certain things tend to offend people, less stress if i don't mention them at all. |
