Well, I took yaz for a good 6 months and I gained like 25 lbs and the weight  is not easy to come off of me either.    I stopped taking the pill for my own vegetarian reasons .  I have been trying for almost 6 months to lose the weight and I am finally slowly starting to show signs of it coming off. I have never gained so much weight so quickly in my life.    Frown

i am 5' 6 1/2 and weigh about 174 at the moment. I felt most comfy at around 150 so that is what I am shooting for. I wouldn't call myself fat since there is not a whole lot of fat to grab onto and my husband quite likes my body , some days I feel sexy and other I feel frumpy.

I am not looking to be vegan but I am almost that way and I never eat honey or eggs.     I have heard that too.  I know someone who buys local honey and it did in fact help with her allergies.

I have a kill headache this morning and It really makes me want to vomit. arggghh!

That's why when people ask me about it, I say that I am "somewhere in between vegan and vegetarian." I hate labels of all kinds, because there are so many gray areas out there. You might be amazed at how many vegans buy products that are tested on animals. I'm not vegan, but I try to only buy household products certified by the CCIC. I guess if I had to label myself it would be "cruelty-free" but even then it's impossible to be completely cruelty-free in this world today...

Me too! I try to tell my co-workers that and they still call me vegan. I was totally vegan for about two months  a couple years ago and no matter how many times I correct them and tell them I am a vegetarian they say "oh, she's a vegan ."   I feel guilty when they call me that. Some of them ever try to catch me in a lie ( when really i am not lying) cause I eat sour cream sometimes.   Wt heckll?!  I do try to buy cruelty free items and dont wear leather never eat eggs and haven't eaten cheese in a few months.

I find the elliptical is not as boring as a treadmill.
Vegetarian how many vegetarians wear leather? Jun 27 2009
02:53 (UTC)

I have not bought any leather or suede items since becoming a vegetarian almost seven years ago but I do wear the things that are still left that I purchased before becoming vegetarian . I see no point in letting those things go to waste.   By

"things" I honestly just mean a pair of tennis shoes.

I love black bean burgers

I used two cans of black beans and smush them all up

and then I add about a 1/4 cup of jalepenos diced and one medium onion diced

and then I add some oatmeal until it looks like the bean mix is the right consistency to make patties

Than I add a but if garlic powder and cayenne pepper and chili powder and stir it all up

then I get about 6 pieces of tinfoil and oil them,

ball up some patties and bake them wrapped in tinfoil for about an hour (25-30 minutes on each side) at 350.

Then I stick them in the freezer for another hour or until I want to eat them and the patties can either be grilled , fried, or warmed up in the microwave

Sorry, but discussions about the poor enslaved bees producing honey for the exploitative humans makes me picture little chain gangs of thousands of morose little insects trudging off to the fields to drink nectar and trudging back to the hive to manufacture honey in dangerous industrial conditions, with no rest, no lunch breaks, no hope of a better life ...

Maybe the bees should unionize.  Tongue out

This is why I don't eat honey, I read something in a "how it all vegan " about how bees could have their legs chopped off somehow if they were being used for the production of honey .  I picture this and it makes me sad so I maybe crazy but I don't eat honey.

I know how you feel about the face thing. It is part of what made me go that is enough of gaining weight. I get kinda giddy now when I look in the mirror and see my face not as chubby.   Congrats to you on your progress.  :)
