true, plus so much else going on- been sick & on antibiotics, have changed the way i eat, started exercise, stress w/ work...definitely a lot! but you are right- i mean i kept putting it off thinking surely my period would come & it just wouldn't- so we get the test- and i mean, literally. i started RIGHT AFTER i took the test. HAHA. |

Ok, so i didn't get the pregnancy test Friday or Saturday, but by Sunday morning, i was like "we're picking up an EPT on the way home from church!" HAHA. We stopped & got it - & it was NEGATIVE. ...and not long after... my period came. LOL. |

charleet- hahaha jackattack-very true!:) well, guys, i didn't get the ept on the way home b/c i started having cramps on the way home. and the backaches i usually get that time of month. i am thinking i'm just late. but if i don't start tmw, i'll definitely go get it! |

hahaha- well- if he loves it, then okay! I don't know how in the heck they can stand it! I pass construction workers on government street (in BR) everyday & i feel so sorry for them. maybe they love it too. haha. |

thanks, jellybelly7. yeah, i know you got to take it everyday... & i do take it at the same time... i mean not by the minute, but pretty close! i can't believe i would get pregnant by missing ONE pill...HAHA. I mean, i know it's possible, but wow! That'd be my luck, huh? I think i will pick up a pregnancy test today... guess we'll see! HAHA. |

Please don't worry & just determine to keep at it. I promise it will pay off. I started this June 1 & on June 8 had lost 5.5 pounds. I was so happy. Then last Monday, June 15, i was up a half a pound. i was SO upset b/c i'd been working SO hard. But guess what? Today...my 4th weigh-in... i lost 2 pounds! YES! It eventually pays off. It just SUCKS SO BAD when the scale is up on your weigh-in day. But don't worry. You are doing all you can do. If you keep at it & don't give up, there is nothing the scale can do, but go down!:)

I'm definitely not giving up!:) I've decided this is a lifestyle thing for me. :) No matter what- i'm sticking with this & so even if the weight loss is slow, i know eventually it WILL come off! I have about 120 pounds to lose, i'd guess. I am 5'6 & weighed 279 on June 1, 273.5 on June 8 & 274 on June 15! I was so mad that i actually GAINED 1/2 a pound. I've totally changed my eating habits. My weakness is also fast food...(used to be soft drinks before the new year). I've stopped fast food, added tons of fruits & veggies, & grilled meats. I'm also not depriving myself of anything but will just have a little bit. It's all about portion control. My goal for now is 200 pounds- then i'll set a new goal. :) But anyway- congrats to you & you go girl! Don't chalk it up to water weight, i think it's awesome you've lost that much! Hopefully i'll catch up to you soon! HAHA! :)

i am so happy for you, but also a bit jealous! i also started June 1 & i've only lost 5.5. 13.5- how the heck did you do it?! That is a LOT! i lost the 5.5 the first week, nothing week two. What are you doing?! i'm jealous! Seems this is happening so slowly! AND i gave up soft drinks long ago- i used to drink like 6-7 cokes a day & i haven't had one since 12/31/08! It was my new year's resolution. Didn't lose a pound from it either! UGH! But happy for you:) Really:) Just share your secrets! |

Thanks so very much- y'all are a huge help! Robiwitt, to answer your question, the 1996 is the number under calories for "daily goal". The burn meter says 2370. I put it at sedentary but log when i bike ride or do a dvd or whatever. I also take the stairs at work (not b/c i'm so awesome- but b/c the elevator is scary - no one takes the elevator haha)... so should i add that? I never have, b/c i've always taken the stairs there. SO if i'm getting this right- i still think i'm kinda confused- sorry, guys... but i should be reaching the 1996? But then, having a deficit of 500-1000? But i mean- 1700 calories a day would be a deficit of 670. So should i aim to eat 1700? or 1800? Or the 1996?? LOL. I guess if i'm logging the bike riding it'll be more than 2370? hopefully reading this, you'll be able to find where my confusion is?! Thank you so much!

oh yeah, it's really good! it's tough though- i am SO SORE! it's like this: 5 min warmup 20 min cardio - level 1 10 min cardio - level 2 10 min cardio - level 3 5 min cool down So you are supposed to do warmup, level 1 & cooldown the first 2 weeks, then add the next level for 2 weeks then add the third level. |

um. ok, i probably should read all the in between comments. i only read your post, which i totally agree with, btw, & then read the first two comments. One of which told you that you do not need to lose weight. So then i looked at your pics & ummmm... you are THIN!!!! You are GORGEOUS! Maybe your self-esteem is lower & you think you are fatter than you are? Or maybe you don't like certain trouble spots? IDK. But i think you look freakin EXCELLENT! I am 274 pounds. I am 5'6. & yes, it does drive me crazy when someone posts a thread saying "am i fat" & then you look at it & they are completely not even CLOSE to fat!!! I honestly don't even understand when people have threads that say "how to lose the last 10 pounds". LAST TEN POUNDS!?!?! How about first 100!? LOL. I'm not trying to be mean, maybe i will understand when i have those last 10 pounds. But anyway. Please do not worry about those people. You are right about much of your thing except that you actually have weight to lose. I would bet that you are within a healthy BMI...

i'm sure it's b/c of the different scales & maybe a few other factors are affecting it. but i would try not to worry about it till you get back home. you're right, there's no way you've gained that much! it'll probably go back to normal when you get back to normal life:) |

i really wanted to try this one too! they didn't have it at target, but i'll get it eventually! just did the cardio workout from the biggest loser. level one is bob, which is the one i did. jillian & kim are in it too. i saw the jillian michaels dvd's too, i'll have to try those! |

thanks everyone! i actually wrote all these down & went to target last night but they didn't have many. they did have the biggest loser ones & i ended up getting the "cardio max". About to do it now. Hope it doesn't kill me. ;)

awesome! this past week was my first week & i lost 5.5 pounds! :) my exercise has been bike riding. i got a new bike memorial day weekend & i've only been riding it 1 mile a day- but i'm definitely going to work my way up. Just starting out slow. Anyway, i like it a lot, i didn't think i could get my big self ON a bike, hahaha, but it's made a big difference & it's FUN! :) |
