it depends by how much, if i eat less than about 800 extra i just act normal the next day, if i eat like 800-1000 more i try and reduce them the next day

Thanks alot for the helpful replies!!!

The yoghurt is usually activia it only has 62 cals, but i am going to try to eat the low fat natural yoghurt with some fruit maybe as part of a snack,

I am exersizing, i work out 3/4 times a week, on those days i definatley feel more hungry, i think the bran flakes may be a bit high in sugar but i love 'em! when I limit carbs i do feel hungry like if i just have meat and veg i feel that i get hungry one hour after, I am going to eat more sweet potato though I think.

I dont really want an appitite suppressant because iwant to do it the natural way for long term aswel as i have a long way to go,

hey thanks for the advice,

the problem i have at evening meal is that i am usually at work n can only eat something cold or microwaveable, so i usually have a micromeal which is about 300-400 cals,

the soup is canned but its a low fat/sodium one,

the dairealea i cant give up!! i miss cheese as it is, the homous n veg is prob a good idea after work,

what about sweet snacks though? i really miss bakery stuff/biscuits :(

Hey sorry I am late havent been able to get online,

My current weight is 246, I have lost 9lbs in a month, happy about that, but it is still slow, also i am having 2 high calorie days in the next 2 weeks for my friends birthday, lots of food, alcahol etc, so im worried i will gain a couple of pounds, anyone have tips for dealing with party situations!??

You Should only weigh ONCE A WEEK! under the same conditions, there is no point weighing every day as it will go up and down depending on loads of factors, what is digesting, water even clothes. so just do it one day a week naked at the same time of day each week.

hey all i am 249.5 down 2lbs, not that happy as since i am bigger i can lose more, i seem to get quite hungry at night after work i need to snack more on soups etc not carbohydrate.

hey CW: 251.80

 i lost this week after gaining last week so suspect it was water or response to diet change, anyway im worried because i cant go the gym as often this week as doing overtime at work, and worried im going to put back on :s

hope everone is doing well, at times i am feeling REALLY HUNGRY and the only way to avoid a binge is to NOT HAVE THE FOOD IN THE HOUSE ive found :)

i am like this but trying to stop, ifi have one bad day i just write off the week to "start again on monday" but trying to tell myself there is no point because this leads to weight gain but one day will even out accross the week so just try do best i can for rest of the week.

i like to think some of this is water or difference in diet, cos although i overate on 2 days, i deffo have eaten averagley less than usual and i went to the gym three days for 2 hours. it takes 3000 to make a lb so id have to eat that in excess and not burn any of it off in this week which i find is not right

hey everyone, im finding it so hard 2 stay away from the fatty foods i love such as chocolate, and high fat meals like macaroni cheese or kfc!!!!!! i feel so hungry alot but i know theres no other option, when i go the gym i also feel sad because i am usually the biggest and there is really slim ppl working out like a quater of my size!!!

jilligan135- i felt the same way as u about exersizing but then when i just put my head down and went to the gym i felt so much better for it, i noticed a change in a couple of weeks but because i abandoned mydiet and didnt go exersize much over christmas i think i am back to how i started, but still when i go to the gym its easier now. Also i was worried peoplewould stare at me for being overweight but there are other larger people and skinny people just concentrate on their own work out to be honest. it really boosts ur mood and if u go in the morning it helps not to overeat as u can apprechiate how long it takes to burn 100cals!

hey y'all,

its a new week tommorw, im excited but aprehensive,

i got alot of stress at work right now,

dont want to eat to combat it... im glad there is many people who want to large a large amount and are determined.

maybe next sunday we could write if we have lost any weight or maintained? i read maintennence should count as a big positive.

Its nice hearing from everyone,

i didnt just call for ppl losing 100 but i just noticed most of the topics were for people wanting to loose around 10-50 rather than those who are a bit larger. i like this website but i am in the UK and alot of the foods are not on the list.

bill- i also worry about my health, if i run for the bus orsomething myheart races way after my friends does and i get hot quickly after moving about.

i do generally feel better since joining the gym a few months ago tho.

also can i ask why u guys think u gained weight?

for me its just being greedy, i love the taste of food and i can just eat like a whole bag of crisps or half a big cake. i also didnt do any exersize and its just piled on over the years

hey all, im glad we have stuff in common!

i will deffo be logging in often to see how everyone is doingand for motivation.

i belive it is possible to loose around 100 in a year, when ive tried dieting before i have given up as i crave high fat foods, but this time round i feel more motivated.

I am 252lbs and UK size 18/20, i feel uncomftable and want to be able to wear clothes without having to hide behind a cardy!

im planning on 1200cals a day, and gym 3 times a week minimum

hi,

i am just doing a low calorie diet and still eating a variety of foods. i havent stopped going to the gym but i just didnt do as much whilei was there and i stopped the diet while doing it so was just maintaining.

I am new, i am in my 20sand "severley overwight" according to this website. I amfrom the UK and weight 18stone/ 252lbs. I have just broken up with my bf of 2 years, previous to this i started the gym and to eat healhty, but i felt too comftable to bother properly. Now i am really determined to loose weight, but i love the taste of food and work part time in a supermrket where there is food everywhere!!!!!
