Hello Kristicro, My name is Dorothy and I have PCOS I've had it for a while. You can never get rid of it but you can control it. Weight gain plays a big facter in it, mine came back after I put just 10 pounds. So now I'm on metformin 500 mg 4 pills every day at dinner time. And we'll see if I get back on track with my cycle this month. Since starting the medicine I have lost 9 pounds, so hopefully I get my cycle this month. My husband and I are trying to get pregnant again. I have a 18 month old little girl, through IVF. Hopefully this time we can be successful on our own! Hello I have PCOS I've had it for years, but recently my doctor put me on metformin 500 mg 4 pills at dinner time every day. This medicine does make me feel sick to my stomach and tired. But I have lost almost 10 pounds, this is my 5th week on the medicine. It's nice to be able to talk to someone who's going thru the same issues. I'm keeping track of my calories now and watching what I eat, but not to much luck with the excerise yet. I have to work on that one!! I do have a 17 month old daughter thru IVF. My husband and I tried for years to get pregnant finally we decided to go thru 4 IUI's and 2 IVF's the last IVF finally worked. THANK GOD!! Well now we're trying again but on our own so that's why I'm on the metformin. Well nice to know I have someone to talk to, good luck! Dorothy |
