eurgh.... haven't been counting for about a month now. seriously need to get back with it though. im up at 165 which is ridiculous, especially considering my bmi is now 28; 29 is obese and i refuse to hit that. however, i have 100 days or 14 weeks if you like until my prom and trip to paris and i intend to be 28lbs lighter. i dont care if it makes me want to die i will do it. i was feeling so good about the weight i had lost and now i feel like crap. i need to get back into my diet mode and shift this weight. i never seem to be able to stick with it. i last maybe a month and then i find some excuse to forget about it. serious problem since i want to keep the weight off. so uninspiring so i will say it again.... eurgh.

jenny12386 is right about concentration, as is gi-jane about mood swings. being a college student myself, im guessing you've got quite a lot of studying to do and classes to be in and there's no way you can have full concentration when you haven't eaten. in my own experience, if i don't eat i feel a major slump. and it doesn't feel good. take our advice, eat little and often and you will feel better.

where did you get a HRM from? im quite sceptical of the burn meters on equipment at the gym so id quite like one of those!

actually, a lot of people say eating a small amount more often boosts your metabolism which will help you burn fat faster. also, leaving 11 hours between meals means your body will go into starvation mode because it doesnt know when it's going to be fed again so you might even gain weight. i would suggest at least eating lunch and probably a mid morning and afternoon snack too. i usually just eat fruit or veg vecause its low cal and stops me wanting to eat chocolate or chips!

to be honest, i think hash should be legal. purely because you see all these stories (at least in scotland) about people who go out and get drunk and then behave in very violent ways. but when people are stoned they just sit in the corner and giggle!

however, i must add that a friend of mine was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and i think the hash really made it worse. so maybe not........

i knew over a thousand was unhealthy, but is a thousand ok? i only ask because i joined one of those challenges and my total deficit for feb should be 28,000 - 1000 a day. to be honest im quite behind but is 1000 unhealthy, or is it only going over that?

eat4health - you're in the same deficit group as me (28,000). what kind of exercise do you do? i mainly behind because i was ill last week and because of all the snow so i havent been able to walk as much. but do you have some awesome workout that does wonders, or are you just one of these crazy people who likes to exercise? :P

my goal date is june 18th. that gives me 18 weeks. so if i lose 1-2lbs a week i should reach it in time. i think that's a reasonable time frame, but if im not at my exact goal weight, i won't be too worried. i rather spend an extra month getting there than losing weight quickly and putting it straight back on.

also, i went on the website mentioned before and it said i should be eating 2200 calories a day to maintain. but it also said that i was definitely overweight. 2200 sounds like a normal amount to eat (and its what i plan to go back to) but i do think undereating by 1000 calories is a bit ridiculous for a diet. im going to aim for 1600 most days and just get more exercise to lose weight. that way i won't starve and ill hopefully keep the weight off.

no need to be rude about it! and i'm not saying i don't like the answers, i'm actually quite glad i found this out before i started eating less and doing more damage. but maybe CC could add that into their programming so that people my age can still count calories without damaging their health.

ok.... ou guys are getting quite mean.....

anyway, i think i might point out to CC what most of you guys are saying. the suggested calories obviously don't take my age into account. if i shouldn't be eating less than 1600 calories but CC tells me to only eat 1200 then im sure there are plenty of others here who are eating too little.

goddamnit! i knew my scales were out a little, but not by that much. im so angry i could have killed the old ones and the new ones! and i leave you with one piece of advice, which should help you, me and everyone else here.........

to be honest, i stopped growing when i was about 14 (ridiculously early developer) so i should be fine with what CC says for adults. and i know i haven't gained 9lbs, im just so mad that i didn't know had that extra way to go.

but don't worry, im still eating! i'm not going to go all starvation on you. and i went to the gym this morning and have a very healthy day planned out. also, my sister has decided she needs to lose weight and has joined CC too (she was also disgusted by her real weight) so we can be angry at our old scales together!

p.s. im sorry if the leggings freak you out, but it was halloween and i was dressed as the 80s. but if you want the full effect of those bad boys you should see me in person..... oh how they cling to my thunder thighs!!!

Kajikit - giving up tea will definitely be a sacrifice ill have you know! i drink like five cups a day, and last week i didnt have one in the morning, and i swear i was having withdrawl symptoms!

im not really religious so i doubt ill go to mass but maybe ill ask my granny to say a prayer for me. god seems to listen to her :)

this week hasn't been so good.... i sort of fell off the wagon from wed onwards, not a ridiculous amount but enough to not lose any weight. however, ive joined a calorie deficit challenge group so hopefully that should get me moving again! anyway, here are my stats for this week!

weight

SW - 161

LW - 155

CW - 155

GW - 133

measurements

B - 36" - no loss.

W - 28" - lost 1.5 inches.

H - 39" - gained an inch.

T - 25" - lost 1/2 inch.

last weeks goals

managed to work out three times so thats good. didnt quite manage 30 mins of interval training on the treadmill but i did do twenty! haven't eaten any processed food whatsoever so that really good. i think the closest ive come is a subway, but thats not too unhealthy! and it was to soak up all the alcohol i consumed :)

goals

1. meet my calorie deficit of 1000 per day (overall, so 7000 for the week).

2. drink less tea and coffee.
