I wouldn't let it get to you. Last month I went to a friends house for karaoke night and wore jeans with a tank top, with another tank top underneath so I wouldn't be showing my girls off. When I walked into the back yard where the kids were playing, one of the little girls said I was naked. haha. Odviously I wasn't and the only skin that was showing was my neck and arms. Kids see things differently than we do and don't over think things they say or what you will think of it. They don't mean any harm, just try to shake it off. |

The oddest thing for me I would say when guys clench their teeth together and the side of their faces/jaw gets all tight, like if they chew gum (some men). I dont know why but I love watching it.... =0) |

Original Post by kindal: Hey kindal, I sent you the recipe for the spring rolls, and as for the spray dressing... I was the same way when I realized I shouldn't cover my salad in dressing b/c of calories. I use about 10 sprays on my salad and use a very large bowl to make sure a little gets on every bite. I have come to love the taste of the salad now, and not just hidden valley ranch =) haha. You just have to slowly teach your taste buds that this tastes better, and soon having that much will taste gross! (at least I think it would to me now, haha, no scientific evidence) Splurge and try it! =0) |

A few years back when I went on the Atkins, their syrup was very good. A little runny, but good. Although I don't know the calories.. it would be work looking up if you really need the syrup. I have been trying to use honey and/or fruit when I have the need for pancakes. Very yummy and the honey is good for the "syrup" texture. I do the same thing, eating every few hours... it keeps me in line somehow =0) Tonight I made homemade spring rolls in the oven that were about 100 calories a piece... my thing is the need for that "fried" feeling. Darn growing up in the south, haha. A helper of mine is I ALWAYS have two salads ready to go in the fridge, just add dressing of choice and ta-da. PS, if you haven't tried the Wishbone sprayers, the ranch is amazing.. do try! Good Luck kindal |

| Foods | I love cheese, how can i not eat it? | Feb 08 2009 05:46 (UTC) |

I too thought, what will I do now?!? I haven't been making my normal dishes, I have been searching out and trying new things... a lot of which don't require cheese. I used to put it on everything, yes, everything. When I do have a cheese craving which I fill with fat free or low fat cheese (Kraft is all I can find here) ... usually a little pinch on a sandwich or in an omelet. When you start reducing your cheese intake ...(man that sounds cheesy, HAHA, wow okay) I think our taste buds need a lot less than we originally thought! =o) Low fat moz. is my salad pal, but i use very little, and it works great for me. Less can be more once you get used to the change! Good luck with your cheese addiction! |

Personally the best way to ensure I eat breakfast is to make a smoothie. Yogurt, fresh or frozen fruit, maybe a splash of OJ or lime juice. Whatever sounds good to you. This morning I had the strawberry cheescake yogurt with added strawberries. Yum-my. Also another thing that has helped me is knowing I don't always have to eat "breakfast" foods for breakfast. Most of the time I end up having a lunch breakfast and a dinner breakfast =0) I love egg white omelets with lunch meat/spinach/onions/eggplant.. whatever sounds good at the moment! Hope it helps, good luck! to edit: I am not a fan of yogurt, so thats why I have been making the smoothies.. not sure if you don't like dairy or you just don't eat it =) |

I'm not sure about being about to do it on CC, however I have done it on a search engine. Like "100 calorie snack", "400 calorie dinner"... ect. I use yahoo usually and sometime I find some pretty good recipes. Be creative and just start typing things into your search engine =0) Good luck! |

I agree that your body language and attitude say a lot with you moving your mouth. People can sense insercurity, you also tend to be more shy when your not believing in yourself. Try working on being more outgoing and loving yourself. I am currently trying to get myself out of my comfort zone. Try doing something you thought you would never do like, sing karaoke in public (something) - - - once you do it and realize it wasn't so bad, it will help you realize that life is too short to worry so much. It will also help you gain confidence when you seeyou CAN do it. It sounds like you are trying to eat better and get healthier, so start focusing on your inner self too. =0) Your mind has so much influence over your body (i love psychology) take charge and just know your a great person. Truely believe it and it will be hard for other people to ignore it |

| Foods | Need a Meat veggie and other easy dinner dish | Feb 02 2009 22:08 (UTC) |

two favorite quick meals... Take whatever veggies you have in your fridge and some chicken or turkey, throw all the veggies in a large pot and saute them. Add italian seasoning and/or basil. A little water to help cook the veggies a bit more, it will boil away very quickly. I usually end up with 1/2 an eggplant, carrots, water chestnuts, bean spouts, bok choy, broccoli and/or 1/2 a zucchini. Now, you can do two things with that. Either cook the meat in a veggie stock and make soup OR cook the meat with the veggies and put the mixture over brown rice. Second one is a healthy, very yummy version of spaghetti. Boil up some spaghetti squash and grab yourself some ground lean beef or ground turkey. Cut up some tomatoes or tomato paste diluted with water or milk. Brown some onions and wilt some spinach. Throw it all together and add whatever seasonings you would like, i love garlic on this! Yumm, I think i'll have this for dinner tonight!!! Hope they help! =0) |

This happened to me a month or so after my husband left for Iraq. I believe for me anyway, it was stress related. I asked around and found there is nothing to worry about a one time happening really. Our bodies do odd things sometimes, but if you feel like something might be wrong go to the doctor. You know you better than anyone else, for sure. =) |

I agree with claire .. it's not so much a diet as a lifestyle change. I have also taken great comfort in the fact I may not loose my weight as quickly as on a "diet" however once it's off, it's gone forever. Through out the process you will learn about eating healthy, making the best choice when faced with going out to eat, and working in excerise to your life (and keep learning). I have been doing this since the first week in Jan and have lost 3 pounds. This month i'm going to put myself on a stricter workout routine to help tone up and gain strength! Be happy with your .25 pound a week.. look at where you were before you made the choice to eat more healthy. Then .25 pound per week for a year??? 13 pounds. I look at it from a light of look how much better I am doing, rather than "man, I only lost a .50 pound (or what have you)". I do much much better when I don't stress out about it. Feel free to add me as a friend, i'll be happy to keep in touch. I'm on here every day logging food! =0) Good luck & stay positive! |

I have myspace. It's a great way for me to keep in touch with friends back home, since my hubby is in the military we will be moving often and I think it's just best sure fire way to keep in touch. My hubby's mom actually just got one too, helping to keep in touch with her kids & family. I like it and log on loyally everyday. I know people from ages 13-70.. mostly for keeping in touch with people far away =0) |

Original Post by ezzied: I was looking up recipes the other day this one sounded yummy, as far as cookies go. There are a lot of others, but I don't think you can replace it for flour for everything. Although if you did some experimenting you might be able to play with baking soda/baking powder... and it might work. You never know till you try! I just know that onion rings/eggplant have been super good with fiber one! =0) If you get bored and experiment, let me know! |

I'm thinking this is a myth somewhat.. however my mom always told me if I started to loose weight/work-out to make sure I do a fair number of chest fly's.. and other exercises like that. To create muscle and tone my breasts while I loose weight. You'll loose some of them, since breasts are mostly fat, however - it's worth a try to listen to my mom... so I am =0) |

It's not a huge deal, but it's something that should be a "normal" thing like washing your hands after you use the bathroom. Its more just being considerate and having good manners in my opinion. My hubby forgets sometimes, and he just says sorry and walks back in the bathroom to put it down. Now I just have to make sure he does wash his hands all the time, I don't get why he forgets that one! Oh well, boys will be boys. |

Humm. I am low maintenance as far as getting ready for my day, 10 mins hair/makeup. I don't like getting my hair/nails done. BUT, BIG BUT.... I am high maintenance emotionally, mentally and I do love clothes. I have finally realized I have enough clothes though! My hubby has an issue with dealing with my emotional issues sometimes, but in general he knew exactly what he was getting into before he proposed =) I've tried to be less emotional & mentally sparatic and he seems confused.. so i'll stick to just being myself. =0) |

Original Post by scottwin: I don't know what my daily amount should be honestly?!? I looked it up and all I could find was it should be no more than approx. 10% of your foods that day of about 10-12 tablespoons. HERE is the link for it. I don't know though. Where did you find out your daily percentages for it? Let me know =0) |

Only thing I know of is ab workouts in general. The lower ab workout is what you would want to focus on I believe. Laying on your back, arms flat on the ground, hands down, lifting your butt and legs towards the ceiling, therefore targeting your lower ab area. =o) |
