Just to clarify, my 4 consecutive interviews were all with the same company, just different people within it.  I am looking for jobs as a geophyscists with an oil or service company, so interviews are actually pretty easy to come by.  I did 1st interviews with about 14 different companies(OMG...I am soooo sick of answering situational questions!!) and am on to round two.  I had my first onsite interview yesterday and I have 2 more with other companies so far.  I would LOVE it if I got offers from at least 2 companies so I have options, but who knows. 

Yesterday actually wasn't that bad.  I was just tired and stressed out, so I got whiny.  All the people I talked with were super nice and they made me really comfortable.  It was actually kinda enjoyable because we only talked about technical stuff.  I much prefer that sort of interview.  And getting to practice my defense talk was really nice.  They gave me some good advise on how to improve some things and geniuinly seemed interested. 

Yesterday was only about 3 hours, but I have an onsite interview with one of the major companies and its going to be aaaaall day long.  And even though I live in the same city, they want to take me to dinner and put me up in a hotel the night before.  I didn't want to complain to them, but I would really rather stay at home with my husband!  Oh well.

I will be sure to update if/when I hear back!

Oh, and watergirl, are you looking to acquire data or just buy some that already exists?  What kind do you want or what is it(2D/3D, multicomponent)?  I love seismic data :)

Lol!!!!  I totally agree.  I was so shocked when they didn't vote her off.  I loved watching the look on her face when the black team won.  Liz should have stuck to what she was saying and make sure Tracey went home.  I am beginning to think it is rigged.  There is no way she could have control of the whole game for the past few episodes.  She can't even workout!  I just really really don't like her...

I love how they all got really creeped out when she won that last temptation.  That was sooo funny!  She totally bewitched the spinning wheel.  Then, she cursed coach so that he was in a lot of pain and put a spell on him so that he would tell everyone he wanted to leave!  She is literally a witch.

 I do work at McDonald's, but I am half way done with my 2-year program in school, and when I am finished with it, I will be making a very nice salary. 

The difference is that she isn't even thinking about a future.  She is living in this little 5-10 year range that she will be able to do porn.  Sure, there is an older woman porn world, but it is a lot smaller than the barely legal stuff.

And I'm not so much judgemental as I am just worried for her.  I don't think she's a bad person.  In fact, if she wanted help to get back on her feet, I'd be the first to jump on it.

And the fact I CHOOSE to work at McDonald's when I could just say "Daddy, can I have a couple thousand dollars?" is commendable in my opinion.  I believe that I'm taking the high road working from the bottom up.  I do 3-4 hours of school work after I get out of class, work anywhere between 5-8 hours a few times a week, exercise, run errands, keep my place clean, babysit on the side, and I even have time to be a mentor to a recovering alcoholic who was the same age I was when I stopped drinking.

I think I balance my life pretty darn well, watergirl.  So don't question my intentions.  It's frustrating to see someone I cared about and was very close with not thinking about her future.  Your future starts when you're young.

Yeah, maybe you should work on not being so judgemental.  If you only know her through facebook you really don't know her life plans, goals, or what else she may be doing.  She could very well be thinking about her future and working just as hard as you are for what she wants.

Because it's stealing.  You may not be evil, but you are not an ethical employee.  There is nothing wrong with suggesting different foods for people, but telling them to steal and helping them steal isn't going to land you the employee of the month plaque.

To set the mood....My parents have a somewhat large and older house on 10 acres of land next to a river.  Most of the land is wooded and descends down to the river.  Its gorgeous, but in the summer it is full of huge spiderwebs and there is a grave from the early 1900s on their property.

About 9 years ago my sister who had just had a baby about 3 weeks before was staying with us.  One night I woke up to what sounded like doors slamming.  I didn't think much of it because my dad has really odd sleeping habits and is really clumsy(both traits I inherited).  So I just assumed it was him and went back to sleep.  In the morning, I met my dad in the hallway and he asked if I had gotten up at night and accidentally slammed the door.  I told him no and that I had assumed it was him.  When we got downstairs, my sister told us of a crazy dream she had last night.  She had gotten up that night to breast feed the baby which was easier to do in the living room off the kitchen because of a particular chair she liked.  She said she was just dozing off to sleep while the baby fed, and woke abruptly to the cupboards in the kitchen slamming shut.  From her point of view, she could see one of them and actually saw it slam shut.  She called out to see who was there, and when no one answered, she went out to see who was playing such a mean prank.  No one was there, of course.  So she had assumed it was a dream. 

It still gives me chills to tell this story!!

I tried BC pills but I really didn't like how much it changed my body and my moods.  Plus, I want to have a baby relatively soon and don't want BC messing it up for me.  My sister has been trying to get pregnant with her 3rd for 5 years.  Apparently she got pretty messed up from the depo shot after her second.  I don't want to go through that. 

Once we are done with baby-making, DH wll get snipped.

absolutely! 

I was drinking 2-3 diet sodas PLUS 1-2 coffees a day before quitting cold turkey last saturday.  I am really struggling to keep up my energy level and to fight off the cravings, but I am doing ok.

I started to drink as much water as possible and if I want something flavored I add a special K protein water mix or a crystal light flavor packet. 

After the initial caffeine headaches and sleepiness, I am now feeling a lot better.  More energy, and my skin is looking a lot nicer too!  It's worth it!
