Well, lets see, are you craving salty things?  Gurgle with warm salt water.... its an old fashioned cureall for a soar throat that works. When ever I do it,I feel better the next day!

Also- when you work out, you stimulate your lymohnodes which will promote healing.  I do not advocate working out if you are sick sick like have the flu, bronchitus, fever etc. but if you just have a head ache and sore throat go to the gym but tone it down, walk at a 3.1-4.0 pace and get your lymphnodes stimulated and only do it for 20 min.take a nap, gargle with salt water and drink LOTS OF WATER..... headaches are sometimes caused by dehydration.... and forgive yourself for the last few days.... it happens to all of us, put it behind you and move on and get back to feeling better....

also each time you go to eat some of that junk ask yourself why am I doing this do i REALLY want it and put it down or better yet.... throw it out and get rid of it why keep it in the house!  :-)  Hope you feel better soon!

I could never do WW either.  I felt they were to restrictive and the whole counting thing and subtract and add from this column.... i flunked accounting twice before i aced it, it was like my first accounting class.  I enjoy CC much better.  However, I have a friend who when she does CC she fails, does not record correct amounts etc. WW pretty much told her what she could and could not eat.... So for her WW was the thing.  I guess it is true what works for you is not always the same as others.

:-)  Good luck on getting to your goal weight I am determined this time around to drop that last 15 lbs.   i have been in a holding pattern for years and this is the time for me!

Vegetarian The book "Skinny Bitch" Jan 12 2009

Hi I have not read it but it is on the stands at Borders  and the other book stores for all of you who are waiting for it to come in.... they have lots of copies.  I almost picked it up.  I was in three book stores on Friday and all of htem had numerous copies.

I was a vegetarian for nine years  and am now getting my husband to at least try some of hte dishes.  His blood pressure increasing was all it took and we are now enjoying the bi-lifestyle ( meat vs meatless)  I went back to meat about 10 years ago but miss the vegetarian part of my life..... slow process and introducing it to the kids has been easier then I thought.  I will pick this book up next time I see it.

Thanks Rebecca

Weight Loss More food?! Jan 12 2009

remeber that if you do not eat enough, you body will shut down your metabolism and make it even harder to loose the weight.  i struggle sometimes too with not eatting enough the other day was only 816 calories but the next day was 1700.  I think the most important thing is this should be a lifestyle change and be perminent- do you really think you can eat like that forever?

Be realistic... I made home made pizza with whole wheat crust portabella mushrooms, onions, carrots..... and instead of eatting the 4 or 5 pieces i wanted, I only had two and it was a nice calorie bump but not that much, it was about 280 calories... then had a nice sized salad to go with it.   That made my meal with dessert ( fruit) about 400 cal.  which is more realistic to everyday forever.  I also got to eat pizza one of my favorite foods but I ate it more resposibly....

Also looking at yoru breakfast.... do you get hungry before lunch?  What about a nice nutritious snack?  Handfull of nuts etc. It seems to me your meals are so light you should be snacing inbetween.

Weight Loss How many calories do I need? Jan 07 2009

your local gym can give you an accurate assessment ( D  you have a lifetime fitness) near you?  They do some stuff with masks and breathing adn running adn sitting and can tell you exactly how many calories you need to maintain....... it costs about 180.00 but well worth it if it will give you peace of mind and allow you not to trigger back into the ED.  Also, you jnow is there a chance you could be pregnant?  i ate like a feind when I was and gained little.
